I would give zero stars if it were possible. Chris and his wife Amy were a total disaster to deal with. They gave their clients full access to our house - without our knowledge OR our permission - while they left the country and went on vacation. We, as the sellers, were told that the buyers were going to move 'a few boxes into the garage'. Imagine my surprise when I went to the house and saw the entire house filled with an entire households contents. The refrigerator was even filled with food & it was apparent the buyer had been hanging out watching TV. It was ridiculous. We had to issue FOUR failure to perform notices. They don't even have a number FOUR page in the regular protocol paperwork files. It had to be generated. They were HORRIBLE to deal with, and the fact that they gave the clients carte blanche access to a house in escrow is illegal and a huge violation of real estate laws and ethics.

We bought a home - The rate was good and then we did a refi later in the year when they got even better. Chris did a good job - The appraiser took 2 weeks but hes independent so I guess not his fault. Id use him again. The rates were very competitive. Would have been 5 star if appraiser did not take so long.

When we were looking to buy our first home we wanted to make sure we had a low payment. We had heard of horror story's on some of our friends loans. We asked around if any one new a great mortgage broker. More than a handful of people kept bringing up the name Chris Austin. We gave him a call and he had us approved with a low interest rate we couldn't believe. Chris made everything so easy. He had us wait till the rates would drop and then locked it in. We will recommend him to whoever asks us if we know a good loan guy. Thanks Chris, for everything.

Mr. Austin assured us in our initial consultation that our loan, while a bit tricky, should be able to be completed in 6 weeks. From the time we turned our loan docs in to the time we got so disgusted with his lack of communication and empty promises when he did bother to respond was 5 MONTHS. We went to another local loan broker, KD Capital, and had our loan finalized in about 10 days. I would never recommend Mr. Austin to anyone looking for a loan. Ask Realtors and Title Company Escrow Officers about him if you don't want to take this at face value.
