I have been going to UFB for over 10 years. I love that I know I can show up every morning and I will get a good workout in to start my day. I like the small class structure with a trainer guiding me through my workout. The weekly schedule offers a variety of workouts from cardio to strength training. Trainers are attentive and encouraging. My favorite thing is the amazing community in the gym that uplifts and inspires each other. The different class times that are offered make it convenient to go when you can each day. Would definitely recommend UFB to anyone!

Coach Mike and the trainers at UFB are all super motivating and professional. Each day of the week works on different muscle groups and uses different exercises so you're always getting a different but excellent workout experience!

I’ve loved my experience at UFB and think it’s amazing for anyone, any age starting out. As someone who’s more beginner to fitness/gym, these classes are perfect for my schedule and a way to push myself to get regular exercise into my routine. I try to attend a class weekly while incorporating other fitness in the week. I really enjoy having a different routine/set every class. I like how class is never overly intense or intimidating :)Coach Mike and Brandon are kind, helpful, and enthusiastic.

Mike, Brandon, Kim and DJ are great coaches. They are very knowledgeable. Everyday is a different workout. In and out in just 45 minutes but trust me, you will be sweating the entire workout. UFB has helped me physically and mentally. Can’t wait to continue my journey at UFB.

Love Mike and his crew of trainers! UFC is so convenient for me, and has become an important part of my physical and mental health. My schedule is pretty unpredictable, but I’ve realized, at the spur of the moment, I can go from my desk to a UFC class and be back at my desk in just over an hour - and what happens in between is a sweat-drenching, lung- and muscle - busting workout. I’m amazing how challenging the 45 - minute classes are I leave feeling great. And sore the next day, but the good kind of sore! I’ve even brought my teen daughters! Thanks Mike, DJ and Brandon!

All the coaches here are great and have so much energy that is contagious throughout the class. My hubby and I have been coming here for about a month now and we have tried pretty much every HIIT class / studio in the Pasadena area (including the chains aka Barry's and Sanctuary). We love UFB specifically because it's a very no BS/frills kind of class. You go in and work hard throughout the 45 minutes. Every class is different yet also focuses on the classic types of weight lifting workouts that make a difference. The class goes by fast but you feel IT at the end and the next day. We love the focus on strength training mixed with a decent amount of cardio, and they never forget a good ab workout too. Coach Mike is very nice and chill and works you hard but knows how to work with and work out everyone from all ages/backgrounds well. Plus, the memberships here are actually very affordable and you get a huge bang for your buck compared to other studios in the area. Can't wait to continue our journey at UFB!

I've been going to UFB for almost 6 years now, and I'm ashamed this is my first time writing a review! I cannot recommend this gym enough. It is a GEM.A little background: I'm a mom to a 2-year old and graduate student who frequently works 10~12 hour days. While I enjoy exercise, like many other working parents, it has been difficult to prioritize working out when you're pulled in a million different directions. UFB has helped me consistently integrate exercise into my lifestyle. And while I can probably go on forever about how amazing they are, I thought it'd be helpful to break it down into 3 main aspects of this gym.1. Structure: every class is 45~50 minutes, usually consisting of 5~10min warmup and 5min cool down. 45minutes fly by at UFB (I haaaate that feeling of consistently looking at the clock wondering when a workout will end), and they always keep it fresh by changing up the workouts on a daily and weekly basis. I like the way the week is structured (M:whole body, T:heavy lifts, W:body weight HIIT, Th:arms/abs, Fri:lower body) so I can choose to attend all or some days and still feel like I got a well balanced workout that week. Most importantly they offer hybrid classes (live classes that are available virtually) and I have yet to find another gym that offers this! As a busy working parent, this has been a life saver.2. Kindness and inclusivity: in the past, I've felt intimidated walking into some other gyms and feeling self conscious about my definitely-not-size-0 body. I've never felt that way at UFB where there are lots of different people at various athletic levels, and all the workouts are modifiable! I've started doing personal training with coach Mike the past few months, and everytime I feel weak and am disappointed in my progress, he's been so supportive, understanding, and kind. As someone who has struggled with body image issues in the past, having a coach who truly understands the importance of exercise for mental and physical health, instead of just aesthetics, has been so important for me.3. Integrity: when Mike noticed that I was only able to come in at most 3 times a week, he informed me that I could sign up for the less expensive package to save me some money (which I had no idea I could do!). I was shocked. I am so used to gyms taking advantage of "make money off of people not coming" that I was so touched by his honesty. I've been a student for a while and he's honored my student rate for many years now, in addition to flexibly stopping my membership - no questions asked - when we were tight on cash. With personal training, I've unfortunately had to cancel last minute many times due to my toddler's numerous colds from daycare, but he has never once said anything negative about my schedule changes or charged me for these classes.UFB is a gem of a gym and without them I would not be able to seamlessly incorporate physical activity into my busy life. Cannot recommend this gym enough!

I started out 215lb. 20% BF. Now I'm at 189lb 14% BF. I realized that I haven't written a review and I've been going to Coach Mike for a year and a half. I love it! He kicks my a** every week and I know for sure that my whole body gets worked through cos it hurts everywhere 2 days later. In a good way you know. There's 101 ways to work a muscle group and Mike knows 102 of them. Always keeping the workouts fresh and never the same. He keeps track of my progress from day 1 and I know he has a plan for me. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who want to have a coach who really cares about you and your progress.

I have taken several fitness classes and none have nearly been as great as this one. The workouts given are effective, but not to the point you feel unable to move for a week. They also give alternate versions for beginners. I have never felt off, like I didn't belong there, or someone was judging me. Never lost on what I should be doing. Which are ways I have felt at other classes. The energy is amazing. You don't need your own music because the playlist is always good. Every time I finish a class, I feel so great. It makes me want to make better meal choices. This class has definetly been a good way for me to start working out again.

Mike's energy is contagious. He has one speed and it's Go Go Go! It doesn't matter if he's training one person, or 30, his commitment, positivity and vibrancy does not change. Mike makes working out fun which keeps clients coming back for more, helping them to reach their fitness goals almost effortlessly. When clients gain strength and endurance, self confidence and sense of well being are also boosted. All of this comes from just 45 minutes a day. Less than an hour of your day at UFB can literally change your life!

UFB is a great HIIT gym. I came here for a few months because I got a Groupon deal, I stopped after the pandemic hit but I definitely would recommend this gym. Try workouts are about 45 min but you will be pushed to your limit. All the coaches were great!

My partner and I LOVE UFB! Coach Mike provides the knowledge and the motivation you need to improve your fitness. Training with UFB has improved my strength, endurance, & mood- I can't put a price on that! UFB follows COVID safety precautions to a T so you're safe here with 1:1 training or outdoor group fitness.
