I absolutely recommend the Maxwell house as a wedding venue! The architecture of this historical mansion is so beautiful, It gave our wedding a more unique feel than your typical hall. From the ornate ceilings, beautiful grand staircase to the fine art hung up on every wall - it was everything we imagined for our day! Cindy was so kind and responsive, the whole staff was amazing! Thank you Maxwell House.

I had my wedding here a couple weeks ago. It's a historical building with a beautiful staircase and lovely for pictures. It's perfect for a wedding. I had 40 guests with the ceremony outside and reception indoors. Such a beautiful location and lots of parking. Hire Ink and Rose if you need a wedding coordinator, too.

From our first look at pictures of this venue, we fell in love. The architecture and the history of this venue stand out compared to other venues we looked at, and the chance to support a non-profit with our wedding was an extra bonus. All the staff that helped us with everything from planning to the day of were wonderful and really helped the day go perfectly. Even with the threat of rain, we knew we had options for an indoor or a outdoor/indoor wedding. We also have to shout out their Preferred Vendors list as a great place to start building the rest of our wedding vendors.

Cute place for a small wedding. The one I attended had around 100 people and the dining room seemed a bit small for this amount of people. The "dance floor " was small and not lit at all, strangely, a little like a weird hallway. Staircase was beautiful, the grounds were also nice and bathrooms too.

Beautiful historical location to have an intimate gathering. My sisters wedding was held here and was absolutely beautiful. Pictures were taken on site. Ceremonial service and dinner party held in the same place. So convenient.

The Maxwell House and staff were fantastic! Their partnership and collaboration for this beautiful event for my Mother turned out lovely. There is no other place I could have imagined celebrating my Mom's birthday. The Maxwell House is just exquisite! The teams guidance, planning support, and client portal kept me organized and prepared ahead of the event. The number of compliments received on the venue alone was amazing!!! This venue is truly one of the best historical spots in Pasadena.Rae, Stephanie, and staff were a treat to work with. They were awesome and ready to help me day of wherever needed!Thank you again for helping bring this joyous occasion to life! I can't wait to host my next event here!! If you have the opportunity to book here, go for it. You will not regret it!!

Situated right off a nearby freeway, the Maxwell House is extremely accessible and an absolutely gorgeous venue. When me and my wife were looking for venues for our wedding, we ultimately landed on this one due to price, location, and the beauty and potential the venue had for hosting our type of event. A big selling point was that a majority of the fees go towards the Western Justice Center, a non-profit that grows and teaches conflict resolution skills in youth and educators and whose offices are inside this historic venue. The building itself is just full of beautiful little locations, from the lovely patio out back, to the warm and inviting interiors and grand staircase. They have quite a number of "rental" furniture and that comes with the fee of your wedding package that really helps cut down costs of having to chase down and find tables and chairs. The way they set up events also allows you come in a day before to set up, decorate, and have rehearsal so that on the day of your event things are mostly done and prepared for you. But, we did have one issue that we encountered that is hard for us to ignore, which was that due to a scheduling system change, our original requested day was double-booked. Now, I'm sure it's a rare occurrence and we were just unlucky, but it did hurt in the moment. However, the crew at the Maxwell House did everything they could to correct things and that's why I've decided to rate them so highly despite that. We still had a wonderful wedding and a brilliant day and we're still happy that we've had it here. There's so many positive aspects to this venue, to the kind hearts working there, the excellent vendor list, and the location itself, that I recommend you check out one of their Open Houses to experience the possibilities for yourself!

My husband and I are so grateful to the staff of the Maxwell House. We are upon celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary and looking back at our experience at the Maxwell House. Indeed, it was not easy to cut our wedding from the 120 guests to 30 but we are so happy to had a smaller celebration at the end. All our 30 guests loved walking into this beautiful venue and the pictures are gorgeous....thank you for helping us get married during COVID!

Beautiful venue for a wedding looking for a more intimate setting. The bride entered down stairs outside and the ceremony was outdoors. I would recommend it on a less than hot day for those wishing to book or an evening time when the sun is setting. They had a bar area, dance area, dining room and buffet room. They allowed my friend to place lights for personalization so they do allow some changes to the venue. Would definitely attend an event here again.
