I went to Samir for the first time yesterday. What a pleasure. He was so kind and patient. He asked what I wanted and went to work. I got a great haircut and a beautiful experience all for $15. He is a Pasadena institution. 43 years he has been there. I will go nowhere else in the future.

Terrible customer service, I called to try to reserve an appointment , and while the caller ID even said "Samirs beauty salon" the guy who answered was very rude and said it wasn't.

I found this salon by chance and am I glad I did! Samir is an artist in hair cuts! Highly experienced he was able to give the right face framing cut for my face! I love it because it's so easy to style daily ! Thank you Sam, I am a regular now!

I recently visited Samir Beauty Salon for what should have been a simple trim, but unfortunately, my experience left a lot to be desired. Here's a breakdown of my visit: Quick But Not Quality: The first thing that struck me about my visit was the speed at which my haircut was completed. While I appreciate efficiency, I can't help but feel that in this case, it came at the expense of quality. The entire haircut felt rushed, leaving me with uneven lengths and an overall choppy appearance. It seemed like the stylist was more interested in getting the job done quickly than in ensuring a precise and well-executed cut. No Clean-Up of the Back of the Neck: One of the basics of any haircut is cleaning up the back of the neck, especially when you're leaving a salon. Unfortunately, this step was completely overlooked during my visit to Samir Beauty Salon. I left the salon with a messy and unkempt neckline, which was a glaring oversight. To say I was disappointed with my haircut experience at Samir Beauty Salon would be an understatement. While it was a quick visit, it was certainly not a quality one. I left feeling unsatisfied and frustrated with the lack of attention to detail and care put into my haircut. I would not recommend a haircut by Samir. Sometimes you get what you pay for and I did.

I have driven past the tiny salon countless times and I assumed when I saw their "unisex $12.99" sign that the quality must reflect that price, so I've never considered it. Well, now that all my former reliable budget shops are pushing $30 for a hair cut, I decided to give Samir's a chance. The interior looked just about how I expected. It's tidy, but not polished. Sam is friendly, and fast and cut my hair like I requested. Just to clarify, the price is $12.99 and up. A zero fade, beard, eyebrows are an upgrade and run a few dollars more. Sam has been cutting hair for 40+ years. He's now cutting the hair of the grand children of the kids he started. For the price, this place is a gem but I have a very basic cut. Ill update this review if anything changes with my certain future visits.

Went to this so called haircut for men place yesterday. He is worst "barber". He said he was cutting hair since 12 year old. I don't think he still has a license. The place is very cluttered. He doesn't clean equipment between haircuts. The clippers still had other people hair on it. Please avoid this place. Very disappointed at haircut and service.

bait and switch. my regular cut was $10. After a couple visits, the same cut now became a "style" and up'd it to $15. My hair is simple. No wash. Just Bzzzz, snip and go. Takes him less than 10 min...once it was less than 5 min. Wanted to help him out but will go back to my regular stylist in a nicer shop for the same price with a wash. I know it's hard for everyone, but it'd be nice if he knew it was hard for me too. I'm not trying to save a couple bucks just to be cheap. I'm working even harder to NOT have those extra bucks so yeah, i'm looking to pay less as everyone is looking to charge more.
