This store is super clean on the inside staff were knowledgeable and friendly, priced accurately and fairly and overall a be very very nice Ralph's.So why only 4 stars and not 5? Well that's because of 1 single yet enormous issue. Night time safety and access. At night as mostly locations do this Ralph's locks one set of doors to restricting access to the store to one side. The problem with this particular location is that the two set some doors are on opposite sides of the store, not opposite is in the left side and the right side but opposite as in the front of the store and the back of the store. Due to the layout of the store the two sets of the doors are on the left and right of the interior part of the store but when you access the store the two doors all in the front and the back of the building that houses Ralph's. The back parking lot is the one that they leave open until they close and the front parking lot is the one that is closed early. No I understand this decision with publicly made due to loss prevention purposes among other things, however then back parking lot is darker than the road to Nana's house in the back country in the dead of night when the sky is clouded. They could easily be some shady shenanigans going on and the risk for some type of attack is incredibly high just due to the lack of lighting. As a man even I am aware that it makes me feel unsafe. Not sure why the lighting is not improved over the years, but whatever the reason or whoever is responsible whether it's Ralphs are the owner of the actual property shame on you for not taking the safety of your customers more seriously. Other than that I really have no issues and this is a really really great store. It's my hope that they can get the parking lot lighting situation together what's the most needed upgrades and improvements so I can come back and give them a five-star rating like I know they are capable of and deserve.Final thought: it's a great store that I drive all the way across my city to come shop at because it's so much better than the other locations in Pasadena. But you might want to think twice before you shop here at night.

I used to love coming here. Today I went to the deli at about 6:30 PM. I believe they close at seven or 8 o'clock? I was standing at the counter waiting and eventually some guy came out and said, "we're closed! That's why the lights are off!" I said, "is this what time do you usually close, and he said no..." And then babbled on about complaining about the management.(I had heard him talking to another customer about his negative opinions about the management a few minutes earlier.)And no, there was no sign on the deli saying they were closed. He just assumed that as a customer, I wouldn't know they were closed at 6:30 instead of their usual 7 o'clock or 8 o'clock time. How am I supposed to know that? His snarky attitude was completely inappropriate. Some people shouldn't work in customer service. So instead of writing a yelp review I was going to talk to the manager. I went to go talk to the manager, and they were too busy in a meeting, so I just left and decided to leave the appropriate yelp review. Customer service these days sucks .

I just wanted to say the pick up spot is on the other side of Foothill, just in case because it doesn't tell you anywhere on the damn app. I finally go around and wait another 10 minutes. She comes and and goes "we had everything except for..." and proceeds to name half the items. What a waste of time. How does Ralphs not have Sprite ?! It's crazy to me.

If I could give zero stars, I definitely would. Ralph's ruined our Christmas dinner. We purchased $100 worth of filet mignon steaks here on 12/23 and the steaks looked fresh at the store. When we opened the packages on Christmas day to cook, a foul smell of death exuded from the steaks. The top side of the steaks still looked fresh and red but when we flipped the steaks over they were rotten on the other side. We checked all the other packages and they all had the same smell of death and we even had a bug in one of the packages, incredibly disgusting. We returned the meat the next day and the manager was flippant and didn't care to look at the rotten meat they sold us. And the meat department worker snickered when informed of the rotten meat. We will never shop at Ralph's again after they sold us rotten meat for our Christmas dinner!!

Shopping at Ralph's in Hastings Ranch has become a NIGHTMARE! There are so many displays in the aisles it's hard to move around even if there aren't that many people in the store!! I've been shopping at this place since it was Market Basket and this is the WORST!

I like the extra security but I'm not sure it's necessary to " lock up" all the amenities- can't take my car into the secure area where I need toothpaste. Kind of ludicrous to leave $150 worth of groceries just sitting out there and the security guard makes no effort to see him watch out for it. Toothpaste left at Ralph's.

The employees at this store are 5 stars: superb, especially the curbside pickup folks, pharmacy, and the store manager. They are courteous, efficient, helpful, and kind. However, the CEO and national management of Krogers is incompetent. Corporate/national Kroger's cannot provide correct software to show online orders online correctly. As a result, when you receive pickup, and items are missing, the online receipt shows you are charged for these missing items that you never received. The national Kroger office prohibits all local stores from giving written receipts. Instead they say, "We are paperless." If Kroger is paperless, then (1) either it should have a correct online receipt when you pick up your goods, (2) or it should give you a paper receipt. It does neither, and this is not fair either to the wonderful employees or to customers. What person would pay for goods when she is given neither a correct online receipt nor a correct written receipt at time of pickup? Kroger's CEO makes $18 million per year. He ought to be able to have reasonable software for customers. Until he does, pay him the same as a checkout clerk.

Good lord. Went here today to pick up a few items. The deli counter the Private Selection turkey was $13.99 lb and boars head was $14.99. I know there are additional costs with inflation but that price increase l is outrageous.. I'm now a Grocery Outlet customer until this inflation is under control. I only give 2 stars because I was able to find a 1/2 lb Smithfield turkey in the lunch meat section on sale for $2.99

I have only been here a handful of times but my most recent visit was very pleasant! They have so many great variety of items and I came hungry so I wanted to buy all the snacks I saw like Milanos and Nutter butters I wish I looked at his name tag but the cashier who helped me was super friendly! He gave me a plastic bag for free and bagged my item without me even asking. And he told me to have a great day! What excellent service! This location has tight parking but plenty of spots.

I've been going to this store since it was Market Basket in the 80s and then Hughes and now Ralphs. The recent changes have been very inconvenient and annoying. There are always too many displays in the aisles to easily push a cart around the store...that's not new. What's new is that they walled off part of the drug store items (hair color, loofahs, etc) so you have to separately check out from those items and then check out a *second time* to buy other items in the store. Terrible idea! Especially when there aren't enough checkers to check out customers the normal way. Were people stealing too many loofahs? I'm making the extra effort to drive to Vons on Colorado - no displays blocking the aisles and no walled-off portion of the store that feels like a prison.

This store has gone from bad to worse. There's never anyone at the deli counter, and if you're lucky enough to find someone, there will be one person to serve all 6 people waiting. And they recently locked up the section with toiletries, toothpaste and cosmetics, making you pay for anything there separately. Last time I was in there was a really long line to check out and only one lane opened. This used to be my go-to for years - I'm not sure what happened, but it's just not worth the hassle anymore.

Had the worse experience at this Ralph's this afternoon. I was planning to run in and buy a few things to use with the my class for the next day (I'm a Preschool Teacher). Before getting past the door to enter the store, the security woman started to express to me that she wishes that people would stop coming to the store with backpacks and leave them in the car. I told her I had no problem if she wanted to see inside my backpack. She said I should go to Customer Service desk about having a backpack or I could of left my backpack with her cause she never leaves her location. The Lady at the Customer Service desk said I could leave my backpack on the floor where she was. I explained to her that my wallet and iPad were in my bag, and are you guaranteeing that my bag will be safe being in an unattended place. She asked her manager what to do, and he referred back to what the security woman said (who happened to walk away from the location she apparently never left). In the end, I walked out and probably will never go back. I understand that stupid people are stealing from stores right now and all that the security people could do is to take out their phone and record them instead of stopping them. My question to Ralph's store is, would you had replaced my backpack, tablet, and items inside if I had left it my car or with the security woman and Customer Service person if I left it unattended with them? I should mentioned my backpack was a Disney one, so if I would of had the notion to steal, I think I would be memorable trying to leave the store with stolen items. Honestly I felt racial stereotyped.

The white bald man with the earring and clear glasses working the self-check out registers discriminated against my boyfriend and I for using an ebt card to purchase our groceries. Disgusting behavior but nothing surprising for a white man in Pasadena. I hope the .30 cents it costs to buy some bags didn't come out of his pocket because sheesh! He was so pressed!
