Had the perfect experience here. Just wandering about. See the shop. Walked into a place with a lot going on and great vibe. Found something I had been looking for for a long while and a price that would be silly to refuse. Bought it. Had a lovley chat with the charming cashier. I left with a big smile and something I couldn't wait to get back to my hotel room with and listen to.

Poo-bah's is great! I stopped by to donate some vinyl records and they eagerly accepted my donation. Friendly courteous people & easy to talk to.

Employee cuts me off while walking in by stating "We're closed...we close at 6..." 2 minutes to 6pm. Along with that, Google Maps declares the shop to be open until 8pm. Granted I had a crate of vinyls that were an obvious sell/trade in; nonetheless, the Record shop and staff continue to display the mentality of a dying business. I'll keep to Amazon before considering to give Poobah a thought.

Great selection of pop and rock vinyls to choose from. Great way to spend the day browsing thru the racks for a few old classic albums to listen to.

Straight out of the movie, High Fidelity! Awesome knowledgeable Staff always spinning rare & obscure vinyl tracks to entertain even the most seasoned aficionados. This place Surely blows Rockaway Records out of the water. From used music & movies on various formats..to collectable rarities. Poo-bah is the embodiment of what a record should be..

Don't sell records here. They will lowball you hard even if you have quality records. Very rude customer service. Dude looked at my records and then started chatting with another customer for 20 minutes. I spent 30 minutes in there just to get ripped off. Gimmie Gimmie Records in Highland Park is way better.

DO NOT SELL YOUR RECORDS HERE!!! Came here with well over 100 dollars worth of quality food condition records and they low balled me hard. They also would talk and chit chat with customers instead of looking through my records. Spent 30 minutes in there just to get ripped off. Gimme Gimmie records in Highland Park is WAY better. This business is disrespectful.

I've been supporting Poo-Bah Record Shop when they were in a converter house. It was such a cozy environment with tons of other music lovers. Nobody seemed to judge people by their genre of music taste, it was just a great place to hang out. Their current location doesn't have the same vibe, but there's tons and tons of CDs and vinyl to look through. You can find the hard to find items, plus get introduced to new artists. Everything is sorted by genre and alphabetical order, just as long as people put things back. But for the most part, things are well organized. Just make sure to allow plenty of time to browse around the store.
