I usually don't do reviews but today I came on to get this number to refer a family member and saw the reviews. I'm really shocked , I've been going to this shop for years and never had a problem. I have had several items that I have pawned all jewelery never a issue at all. infact I had an issue with a lost ticket and the owner helped me out with no problem . I have this one necklace that I have taken several times when the price of gold went down so did what it was worth to pawn, But he said don't worry I'm going to still give you what you usually get don't worry about it. this list of generous gestures goes on. yes, initally they are not the most talkative people and they are about buisness. however, we have had many conversations business related and not. People you have to remember that the energy you give off will sometimes have an effect on the person in front of you... Again, to Pasadena Pawn Shop, I appreciate the service you provide

I have been going to this Pawn Shop for years. This is the only pawn shop I will go to. They are so nice there, very helpful and knowledgeable. Always gives good deals whether Im buying or if I need to pawn something. I have never had an issue and never disappointed. It is a business and you are given plenty of opportunities to pay or extend your loan if you cant get it out. All you need to do is keep track of your dates on your loan paper. I will always refer this business to friends and family ?

Warning: Do Not go with these Armenian Thieves. - I was late only 2 weeks to pay for my item, and when I went to take it out they told me that it was already melted. I'm sure they will sell it because they have other Pawn Shop places, and then they insulated me and threatened me when I told them they were Thieves, because that's exactly what they are cheap Armenian Thieves! - Armenians are cheap foreigners and crooked Thieves !

I visited Pasadena pawn shop today to try and sell my son’s electric guitar. We had just visited Guitar Center next door that was not interested in our guitar’s brand (low-cost Amazon entry level) and they had told us to try the Pawn shop next door.Inside the Pawn shop, when we took the guitar from its case, the guy behind the counter inadvertently banged it on the counter when he grabbed it, and he didn’t even apologize about it.Then he turned the guitar looking on each side for 30 seconds and told us “There is no serial number”. When I replied, I don’t think that electric guitars have serial numbers, he grabbed a ukulele behind him and showed us that it has a number inside the case. When I said that ukelele may be different, the 2nd person behind the counter said, “do you want to argue with us?”.I am not sure if at this point, he was trying to imply that we stole the guitar, removed the serial number (that was purchased new on Amazon a year before) or if it was simply part of their “haggling low-ball tough guy” pawnshop technique. But suddenly I felt that I was inside the perfect caricature of pawn shop in a bad B-movie. So, we simply put back the guitar in its case and left the shop.I am always surprised how any business without any ounce of customer service or even a smile can survive nowadays. But now, I understand why pawn shops have such bad reputation if most of them treats customers like Pasadena Pawn Shop.

I have been coming to these guys for years now, and I've never been insulted by these guys ever. They've always given me a loan on my items even on a factory made violin with no known makers. I took in 2 Strad copy instruments, very nice, beautiful sounding instruments, and they didn't even let me ask a loan price before the cashier told me, "not interested". He told me that how could I be fooled by the person who i purchased these instruments from? are you kidding me? I've been playing, buying selling and trading violins for 20yrs now. I know when I'm being jerked around, and it was at Pasadena pawn shop. I've seen the old, dusty crap violins they have hanging on their walls. They don't know what they're talking about. It always happens in pawnshops. They think they know more about certain items because they've "been in the business so long " "I've seen everything". Give me a break. After many good years with them, I'll have to find somewhere else to do business.

Horrible owner. At first when I tried pushing open the door it started beeping so I decided to not keep trying to open it and wait for the owner to come to the store and help me. He came to the door and freaked out about us not just pushing the door. Very rude don't recommend.

This afternoon, I made the unfortunate mistake of walking into the Pasadena Pawn shop. I had my mother's prize silver flatware and some jewelry. I was only there maybe five or ten minutes when, to my dismay, the employee started letting into me about wasting his time and taking too long!!!!!!! How rich! (Wasn't he supposed to be positive and encouraging to me so he can make a deal ?????) I had very nice stuff (Didn't he get the memo about how to treat customers? Lol ! ) In addition, I'm not sure ( that's why I was there ) but the prices he was giving me seemed not neat conmeasurate to their true value. Needless to say I will never go there again. Not wild horses nor my mom's best silver could drag me there. Unless you have some dire desperate urgent need to punish yourself and feel horrible, I suggest you do the same. ... and if you are female, run ! .... Ick. Ick. Ick. Avoid at all costs. In what crazy upside-down universe does a business give you one of the most unpleasant shopping experiences possible? TX, LCS

A couple of things made this a difficult and less than awesome experience. When buying a guitar I asked if it came with a case. They said it doesn't. I asked if they had any extra cases around and Moses said depends, a soft case yes, a hard case will cost extra. I said ok. When it came time to pay I said we can find a soft case? And he said it would be $20. I mentioned we said a hardcase would be extra. Then he said no. It was priced at $195 and I asked if they would do $180 and he said no and took the guitar from me and started acting short tempered with me. I asked if he was upset and he said no, I don't get upset, I just understand how some people are. He was trying to throw an insult at me which was ridiculous. I still wanted the guitar and bought it despite my experience with Moses. After I bought it they wouldn't give me a real receipt. They said if I wanted a real receipt I'd have to pay more money of taxes. When you give someone an out the door price it just means that the shop is paying the taxes. But this shop made it seem like they are doing business under the table and not reporting taxes since they won't give me a real receipt with my cash purchase. Shop is clean, dealing with the workers was a bit shady.

Had a really positive experience completing a transaction with this shop. We agreed on a fair price, owner was reasonable & respectful, and so on. 10/10 would go again.
