I took my cat here to get neutered and the staff were so caring and sweet. I was very nervous bringing him in and the staff made me feel comfortable leaving him with them. They told me that they were not able to neuter him because he has a heart murmur. After hearing that I was so worried and scared but they fully explained everything that I needed to know. They took the time to make sure that I had all the information I needed. I am so grateful for the staff, they are amazing!

I wouldn’t recommend this place to shelter a rat out of the sewer. The most unprofessional set of employees I’ve ever experienced. The lack of empathy and professionalism shown by these employees seems almost like spoof. Completely unreal. Based on the treatment I received as a human, it’s hard to believe these people are put in charge to properly care for animals. SMH!

Education program was so fun for my boy. He's attended two sessions. He felt like he had a job, it felt more than a volunteer experience. If it were not for the scholarship opportunities we would not have been able to afford that amazing opportunity. Absolutely fantastic experience. My son made toys cleaned pins and made snacks for the animals. And I imagine took tours, cause he would come back with updates on various animals he met. I believe they got to make recommend on naming animals as well. And he got to wear a really cool badge, high quality official stuff. The first session was all girls he was the only boy. The second session had boys and girls. He was the only black kid, which we kinda expected. Grateful for him. I wish they had opportunities during school hours as he was a homeschool kid and this program is better suited for after school hours. And four weeks is kinda not long enough. All in all my son loved it. Four stars is just for the timing as a homeschool family with a single parent we want to be finished with educating programs after a certain time.

This place is very strict about thier animals when you go to adopt you will be hounded with crazy questions such as, show me how you correct a puppy from biting you from through the bars of a cage???, how do you pick up poop and potty train?, show me with the dog (while the ddDog cage door is locked). Can you show me how you make the dog sit and kneel? Show me with the dog (while the dog cage is locked) We wanted to adopt a puppy and we so have many years of experience with dogs in general and in training. We felt very offended and we kept being followed and the service lady's kept trying to push us out the door when it wasn't even time for closing and thier where other people looking for pet's as well. We felt racially profiled. Your organization needs better customer service and you really need to treat people all the same as far as services and respecting your customers with being polite and not by being rude.So no I will not be recommending this place to nobody I know just for the poor treatment and services my family recived at your organization. Your company's HR should know about this or ceo because your treatment is very unprofessional and customer service. You should really be mindful and watch your workers in how they treat certain nationalities that enter your facility.

I’m leaving a 5 star because my experienced ended very well and the staff was super kind, but I wish there would be some protocol implemented so this doesn’t happen again. I drove an hour here, in the rain, so I could take a look at a specific cat. I already had a feeling that the appointment before mine was looking at the same cat and I was right, I didn’t mind at first because I expected it. I arrived at 10:45am and was told the other person waiting at the bench had the 10:30am appointment, was also looking at the same cat, but we were waiting on his girlfriend. His girlfriend didn’t arrive until 11:04am, thirty minutes past his appointment. Normally, when you’re late by 15 minutes your appointment is voided/cancelled. I understand because one of the party members were already there that it would make sense to wait, but thirty minutes? You don’t book the earliest appointment just to be late, that’s inconsiderate and disrespectful to EVERYONE’s time. If you need two people to make a decision, and only one person is there on time, then I do believe that the staff should have voided their appointment after the 15 minute mark, because you’re late. It doesn’t matter if someone is there. It’s not fair for the people waiting and it’s not fair for the staff to wait on someone who booked the first adoption appointment of the day. The staff was super lovely though and I did still manage to adopt a kitten at the end of the day which I’m super happy with. I just thought there should be a protocol for when one member of a party is late for adoption appointments.

If you adopt from them, be sure to ask many questions about the animal you're adopting and its health history and I would advise against adopting a cat that hasn't been in the care of the shelter for more than a few days. Pasadena Humane allowed me to adopt a sick kitten without being upfront with me about his condition, taking the adoption fee from me, lied to me about the kittens they keep in close contact having a communicable disease spreading in their kennels, and again allowed me to adopt a kitten who I did not know would be ill the very same day I adopted. And of course they won't help me with medical care for symptoms my cat contracted from their facility.

Booking your birthday party here benefits animals AND is something totally different and fun. This is the area's best kept secret when it comes to Bday party venues, and it's reasonably priced. The staff members are so attentive and great with the kids. They helped me so much. I felt like I had my own built-in party planner/coordinator. They really facilitate most of the party and provide fun learning opportunities. The 1.5-hour party was a bit quick ... You get 30 mins at the end to do food/cake and free time, so make sure to have everything ready to go. The kids loved making blankets for the enrichment activity. There weren't many animals there (actually a good thing for animal welfare) so just be aware of that. We weren't able to play with cats outside of their cages like some of the promo phots suggest, but I think the kids were still on cloud nine. It's a beautiful facility and a genius bday venue.

I would recommend calling because even though online shoes they are open, they only allow you to view the animals between 2-5

I already had a feeling that the appointment before mine was looking at the same cat and I was right, I didn't mind at first because I expected it. I just thought there should be a protocol for when one member of a party is late for adoption appointments. I would also like to add that I am not bitter that the cat I initially was looking at was adopted, I expected it. I just think that some action should have been taken since it's considerably unfair for other people interested in the same cat yet the first party was late for their appointment.

My husband and I adopted a puppy. The staff here made the transition simple. He's so sweet and loving. He's already becoming a member of the family.

We love Pasadena humane ! Great staff always so friendly and helpful I always see them walking the dogs and it feels clean here and seems like they take care of their animals well , we have used them for our cats vaccines and neuters also we’ve had to donate hamsters that they found homes for quickly and made things easier on my heartbroken boys
