  My son has been going here since the beginning of the year, and thanks to Ms. Janel and her amazing team, he is thriving. Not only have they helped him get over his separation concerns daily, but they are so attentive to each child's needs, and very communicative and responsive when it comes to progress updates and questions. My wife and I are so happy we decided to send him to Our School, and we can't wait to see the continued growth in all areas, both social and educational!

  Our daughter is about to finish up her time at Our School before she goes on to TK, and she has truly benefited and grown so much during her time at this wonderful school. She started right after she turned 2 in June of 2020 and is now 4.5 years old. We started during a difficult time with Covid, but everyone at Our School was so welcoming and kept the lines of communication open. We knew what the school was doing to keep the kids safe, and we were so thankful for our daughter to have somewhere to go and be around other kids in a structured environment during such an important time in her development. Seeing Mrs. Moore every morning in the driveway during pick up and drop off has been a highlight of our days, and I know my daughter will miss her big hugs. I like that the school is small and family-run. It feels like a very nurturing and cozy environment. Mrs. Moore is a caring and dedicated teacher and mother. Her daughter, Ms. Janel, is the Director of the school, and her granddaughther, Miss Tiff, is the kindergarten teacher. I've called Ms. Janel countless times to discuss scheduling and other items, and she always picks up (I think I've only left a message once in the past 2.5 years!) and is happy to talk through any questions or concerns. She is a wonderful source of parenting advice as well. I've also e-mailed Miss Tiff numerous times and she is very responsive and just such a funny and kind person. They really run the school well. My daughter has had a few different teachers as she's aged up into the next classrooms, and each one has been great. She is confident, and I know she has a solid foundation for elementary school. The swim program is phenomenal. Everyone is surprised and says how lucky we are when we tell them that our daughter's preschool has a pool and she can take lessons 4 days a week during the summer months. Our daughter became water safe and had so much fun learning to swim. The lessons are built in to the daily schedule so we didn't need to take her elsewhere, and I know that receiving lessons more than 1-2x per week helped her learn more quickly. In addition to swimming, the school offers other extracurriculars throughout the year during the day, such as dance and taekwondo. Pizza Mondays are great so we don't need to pack a lunch on those days. The school also offers a fun nighttime event for the parents once a year to get to know one another and the staff. We were very lucky to be a part of the Our School family and will miss everyone dearly. I've met so many parents who say that they themselves went to Our School years ago or their kids went there, and they all have such fond memories and say such wonderful things about their time at the school. I imagine we will do the same for years to come!

  After visiting several local preschools, we chose Our School for several reasons. We loved the generous schedule and summer swim lessons. We liked the way the school balanced the traditional classroom structure with age-appropriate supports. The educators guide the students with kindness, warmth, and consistency. Our School was everything we wanted and more.

  My five-year-old is finishing up his time at Our School and I am so very grateful for the past three years he spent there. Every teacher and member of the staff has gone above and beyond - sharing photos and videos, creating special celebrations for holidays, birthdays, rights of passage, etc, caring for him when he had any illness that cropped up, and they all know my child so well. My son wakes up every morning excited to go to school and I feel confident that I am sending him off to a warm, caring, yet structured environment where he truly thrives.The excellent summer swim program taught him confidence and grew his skills in the water. When he entered at three he couldn't swim. At five, he can now dive, touch the bottom, float on his back, swim the length of the pool... I am amazed at his skill (thank you, Mrs. Moore!). As a teacher, I had heard rave reviews through the years from my students' parents and now I can say I have witnessed the magic myself. Thank you so much to Miss Janel, Miss Tiff, Mrs. Moore, and to all of the wonderful faculty and staff!

  Our School is full of warmth and love! All of the staff are truly amazing! You can feel the compassionate care they give to all the children. The trust and feeling of safety is all there! My daughter enjoys going to school and her favorite part was learning how to swim. In the pre-k class, you get to have a parent teacher conference and discuss how your child is developing. It was great to hear how your child is doing and see the environment they learn in. My family and I had the best experience with Our School. Thank you Ms Janel Mrs Moore Miss Tiffany and all the lovely staff at Our School!

  Our School is a wonderful place for children. The teachers are kind and loving and the mixture of education and play is perfect. I wish I would have found the school sooner, prior to the pandemic. I will always be a supporter.

  To us, Our School is the most delightful preschool and pre-K program around and we feel so fortunate to have had our children attend for so long! This group of people have my heart! I can't say enough good things honestly. The ENTIRE staff is composed of complete gems. There is the magical family trio of Ms. Janel, who with her mother Ms. Moore, and her daughter Ms. Tiffany, have run this school for many years (over 40!) and it is CLEAR they love what they do and they care for each and every child. They become like family - taking time to truly get to know your child and help them learn with kindness, insight and emotional intelligence. Both of our kids went there for several years and I'm so glad that they had that experience. Both of them did great and learned so much and I believe it set them up for success as they got older and moved on to another school. In our experience, Our School provides a dependable, consistent and organized structure designed for the children to thrive - as well as a VERY clean environment (they have full time housekeepers!) and lots of handwashing and careful practices the kids carry with them later in life. They also have a fun, loving and experienced staff who we all looked forward to greeting daily at drop off and pick up. My children often wanted to pick their teachers or Ms. Janel flowers to present to them, or make them cards, simply because they adored them - which as a parent really warms your heart to know they are enjoying their experience at school. HUGE bonus worth noting is that Mrs. Moore runs a Spring/Summer add-on swim course on the campus four days a week - this is such a huge deal and so unique - both of my children learned to swim confidently through that program. This was awesome because we tried other swim programs before enrolling at Our School and none were even as remotely effective - plus the kids have something wonderful to look forward to daily to break up their day! There are other lovely perks like tons of genius crafts coming home regularly, fun gatherings, a sweet parent community and a holiday pageant at the end of each year that was better than the Oscars lol! We miss them and will always adore them. If you are considering Our School for your kiddos - call and chat with them, Ms. Janel is so experienced she will immediately fill you in and put your mind at ease - just like she did for me when I made that first phone call years ago!

  Both my son and daughter spent 2 years at Our School before starting kindergarten at a public school. I can't say enough of how valuable their experience was at Our School. First of all, it is way more than a day care. The school is run by 3 generations of a very caring family who know how to deal with every kid's behavior. We also noticed that the children of former students are now attending the school, which says A LOT. Second, the school has a heated, salt water pool that they use to teach the kids how to swim during the summer months (for an additional fee). We looked at lessons at different facilities. The cost and convenience of our kids swimming at Our School 4 days a week didn't compare to the other options. Both of our kids were swimming effortless in their first summer. Third, my kids are now more advanced in reading, writing, and math than other kids in their class. And, they were well prepared for a classroom setting. Lastly, my kids miss the teachers at Our School. They both enjoyed their experiences and always look to stop by to say hi. Sending them to Our School was a great choice!

  Our School is like family to us. My son has been going there a little over 2 years. It's been a wonderful 2 years. My son is always excited to go to school everyday. This is how you really know that they take care of our children so well, the eagerness of your child wanting to go to school. I am fully confident in the school's ability to prepare my son for his future schooling. He always comes home excited with something he learned that day, and we love getting the quarterly schoolwork books showcasing all the work he completed. I also get a big smile with all the arts and crafts the children make. My son is always proud of his works of art and we have a wall with it all on display. We will truly be sad the day our boys time is up and he must move on, but we will always look fondly back on the time we had at Our School making new family.

  We love Our School. Our daughter began last Fall and absolutely loves going to school everyday. She talks about her teachers everyday, Miss. Kim, Miss. Veronica, Miss Janel, etc. They are incredibly organized, clean, engaging, and the extracurriculars (swimming, dance, gymnastics, Taekwondo) are great. From the beginning, I knew my daughter was in great hands, which is the best feeling when leaving your young child in preschool for the first time. We are very grateful to have found them and be in the lovely neighborhood. In response to the message below about Covid-19 and school closures. Everything happened/is happening very fast. I am a school teacher, and the news about closures and how long was an hour by hour situation starting the 12/13th and has continued to change daily. So I disagree with the narrative below. In addition, our school is an "essential service" because some parents are first responders. Furthermore, they have wonderful teachers/staff they need to take care of as well. To conclude, this is a very stressful and confusing time, but Our School is a wonderful place to send your children and we will be returning when the time is right. Our daughter can't wait.

  Our School, Ms. Janel, Miss Tiff, and all of the teachers and staff have been a blessing in our lives. I enrolled my son in Our School after a horrible experience at another preschool. My son has thrived under the kind care and tutelage he receives on a daily basis. The curriculum is dynamic and fun. My son always comes home telling me he has had the best day. You truly become one of the family when you enroll your child in Our School. Ms. Janel and her family have done a wonderful job of creating a loving and supportive environment not only for the students, but also for the parents. Thank you to everyone at Our School for their dedication, warmth, and professionalism.

  My daughter has been with Our School the part 2.5 years. She loves her teachers and friends. Miss Janel has been one of the most caring educators I have met! There are many different types of extracurricular activities for the children to participate. We love the swim class during the summer, such a great skill for my daughter to learn, also that means I don't have to drive her to classes separately. Everything is done within school hours at the same place. My daughter's current teacher Miss Tiff is so funny and passionate about her mission to bring a fun loving education to her students. Everyone in Our School is so caring. We hope that our son will have as much fun as his sister, as soon as he's potty trained that is... The school environment is kept clean and neat. Everything has it's own place! Our school is conducted with passion and integrity. I highly recommend this to anyone who's looking for a good school for their little ones.

  Our School came to us at a much needed time in our child's life. He has struggled with speech and communication and everyone at Our School as been so helpful, resourceful and compassionate. His teachers have found a way to work with him in innovative ways, Mrs. Janelle is full of amazing resources, connecting us with an amazing speech therapist, checking in on his progress on the regular and discussing ways with us on how we can elevate his needs. We are so thankful to everyone at this school - they have truly made a difference in our life and in our child's life.

  I thought I would use this chance to express my gratitude during this difficult time for everyone. Running my own business, I know how important it is to keep the doors open. It is very easy, and maybe financially smart to just close the doors and wait for this virus crisis to pass. And trust me, a lot of business owners we know are already doing that. But I know that if I can swallow my financial losses in short term, and not close the doors, my employees can bring a check home, pay for their bills and have food on the table for their families. And for this reason, I respect Our school for trying its best to open the doors as long as it is allowed. My husband and I had to find a place that we can trust for our daughter, so we can focus on running our own business. And we were so picky that it took us almost one year until we found the dream school, Our School. And it was the smartest decision we made in 2019. Neither my husband nor I were born and raised in the US. Before attending Our school in September 2019, my daughter did not understand a word of English. By Christmas 2019, she can communicate with our friends in English. By March 2020, she can start a conversation in English. She is so happy at school and made so many friends. She is constantly taking about her teachers and her friends. At this moment, I knew that she is very happy, and feel loved at Our School. Ms. Janel is always very patient with our "new preschool parent questions". Such as "did she cry for mommy?" "Public vs. private school in Pasadena" to even "best family vacation place". One day, when my daughter grows older, when we talk about responsibilities to other people, Ms. Janel and Our school would be my examples to use. Thank you, Our School and your faculty for giving our daughter a wonderful start for her learning journey. We are looking forward to seeing you guys soon.

  Our daughter loves this school and her teachers. Our son was to start on the 16th- but due to the circumstances .. we are waiting until all these uncertain times get behind us. Our school also is part of the community. They employ 18 others. None of us have experienced anything like this ..: and this crisis. We are learning as we go daily. They are doing the best they can. We are all doing our best. Be patient. Be kind. We all are in this together.
