You’re not allowed to have an in person visit if you have covid symptoms. Turns out every illness has COVID like symptoms so when I had respiratory problems that could only be diagnosed in person I had to go to an urgent care and pay a higher copay. They took over a day deliberating before they got back to me saying I wasn’t allowed an in person visit. Stay away.

Had the worst experience with Dr. Grace Bautista. Told me that i was giving too many symptoms, taking up too much of her time (after she walked in 10-15 mins in late), and to pick my top 3 issues and only discuss that. Sat there crying as she's denying me care. wouldn't look or face me when speaking to me so if she even did notice, she just ignored me. She pushed the fact that i have PPO and don't need referrals to see specialists so to just figure that out on my own. Would never recommend her.

I was a patient there for 13 years but I decided to move on recently due to the huge number of changes Optum has been making since the takeover.I am no longer able to talk to my doctor's office directly. If they call me & leave me a message, when I call back, I have to talk to an operator at a call center who does not know anything about me nor the reason they called. That's like playing the telephone game with your doctor's office. Errors inevitably happen. There should be a way for me to talk to my doctor's office directly during their business hours. They are also currently rolling out an Optum portal which does not work properly. I have many conditions and a long medical history, most of which is no longer accessible. Anything from immunizations, to conditions to medications. It's missing a lot of key information I need and for which I will now have to phone the call center each time. Optum decided it was too expensive to move all the patient data to the new portal (it's not a live connection) so they did a 3-year cut off. Anything older than 3 years is no longer accessible. The portal is 3rd party and support for the portal is one a red-states call centers also where I'm sure they don't think much of us Californians. They are extremely rude & inflexible. Alex, one of their associates, was argumentative and ended up hanging up on me. Also, if you don't use the Chrome browser and are not willing to erase all of your browser history and data, they will not even open a support ticket! When I told them the same issues were in the app, they said I HAD to use the Chrome Browser, period.I really liked Healthcare Partners, but they are definitely long gone and with them all the things they did well are also going away. So as a patient, I'm also going away. I have an appointment with a Dr outside optum. One who gets much better reviews also. I'm extremely disappointed with Optum, but since I'm someone who has a PPO which gives me a lot of other options, I'm out of there. Enough is enough. I doubt they read yelp reviews, but if you decide to go there, good luck. It's not healthcare it's a patient mill!

Dr. Renee Poole has a horrible bedside manner. She is rude and stubborn. Not qualities you think you'd be exposed to when it comes to your health care provider. She would make it difficult to get medications and tests that I needed. The straw that broke the camel's back is that she ordered a procedure for me and then forgot to run a test, which is the whole reason we scheduled the visit. So, now I am stuck with a whole bill and no closer to fixing the original concern of mine. When I emailed her, she didn't address any of my concerns and coldly wrote with one line answer, stating that I could go to labcorp. The nurse is kind and friendly, as well as the team. But, Dr. Poole ruined it for me. I'll be happy to move on and see a provider who doesn't have such extensive social difficulties.

scheduled an appointment month and a half out. shared all necessary information to set up insurance etc. showed up the day of and get the "no appointment in the system" response some have gotten in other reviews. don't know if this is a scam or not but I'd steer clear of this location at all cost

I've been a patient of Dr. Poole for years and enjoy being in her care, so I was extremely surprised to learn that my appointment was not with her but with the nurse practitioner in her office. Dr. Poole is kind, always on time, and is patient, and understanding. I never got to meet Jennifer Lam. NP. My appointment was at 2pm. I did not get called in until 2:30 where all my vitals were taken. I sat until 2:45 and I still did not get seen and she was nowhere in sight. I arrived at 1:45. No courtesy of stating ahead of time that the doctor was running behind. No communication whatsoever. I paid my co-pay for the visit and did not get seen. Its egregious and disrespectful. I guarantee if a patient is even 15 minutes late their appointment is cancelled. It's extremely upsetting. I could've done something else in that hour that I waited to be seen. Why would I want someone so inconsiderate to care for me? I'm considering leaving this office altogether if this is the new standard of care.

Staff thinks they can dictate your treatment, with no conversion with me the patient. So arrogant, they seem to forget they job is to advise, my job is to make the final decision as to my treatment. Dr. Bautista, Nurse Supervisor Ortiz

WATCH OUT Went in for my scheduled physical, which is preventative care and fully covered by my insurance. They told me my appointment was too late for a physical but the doctor would see me for a consultation. Okay. Next, the Nurse takes my blood pressure, exclains 'Whoah' and proceeds to take it two more times. She, nor anyone else, ever told me what it actually was. When I see the doctor, Renee Poole, she is cold and callous. She asks me a bunch of questions about my health and job (weird). She asks me if I'm having any issues.I mentioned my eye was bothering myme a bit because of a sty. Nothing was prescribed. The visit took maybe 20 minutes. A few weeks later, I received a bill for $150 dollars. Because I responded to the question 'is anything bother you' the visit is no longer 'preventative'. The medical office refuses to claim responsibility for misleading me, saying I should have known answering the doctor's question about anything not strictly preventative nulls the whole point of the visit. Talk about a violation of trust.

There is a Dr Allen who has his head so far up his rear end it isn't even funny. He has the worst bedside manners I have ever experienced. I hope that if you were assigned this clown that you are able to get someone else who is competent.

If you love wasting your time, getting inadequate healthcare, and working with healthcare professionals that outright lie, this is the place for you!Terrible experience and will never go back. I scheduled an appointment which required blood work, and let the office know this would require blood work. The doctor hadn't ever worked with my condition before, but navigated it and left to send the nurse in to do blood work. Right before she's about to poke me I ask if I needed to fast, to which she replies "well did you"? I let her know I didn't eat and only drank coffee with sugar-free almond milk, and she says "oh you can't have this blood work because you had sugar and didn't fast". I let her know the almond milk didn't have sugar in it, then she goes to the next room to ask the doctor her thoughts. The walls are paper thin here and I could hear the conversation, and she said "he had coffee with almond milk". She did not specify sugar-free. She then comes in and says I can't do the blood work. I asked if she said the almond milk was sugar-free and she LIED and said yes. She then gives me the blood work paperwork and tells me to go to LabCorp some other day when I fast. You would think the doctor, Mandeep Singh, might come back in and validate/verify with the patient about their fasting before sending them away.WHAT A MESS AND WASTE OF TIME! They should have directed a patient coming in for blood work to fast, or not, should have validated the fasting status before drawing blood, and then should not have LIED about communication with the doctor. The place is an operational mess, save yourself the headache and health risks of going here and getting inadequate care. The only reason this has two stars is because I was not billed for the "services" aka huge waste of time. If they try to bill me this is going to one star for obvious reasons. In my opinion they should be paying me for taking the day off of work to get literally nothing done because of their screw-ups in communication and lies.

Optum answering service is horrible. Good customer service needs to start with better automated service and training. After selecting one of the options provided (talk to a nurse) the automated service would not progress and just repeat itself until it ends.

The worst customer service. Cannot get through to make an appointment. Contact them via follow my health and they do not respond until days later. I try and schedule an appt to discuss a referral I need and the next available appt is not for a month. When I'm person they are not empathetic that so ever. Whatever you do stay away from 3rd floor.

My daughter went to Optum Urgent Care for strep test. She gave them her insurance card- I saw this- and her insurance covers Urgent care visits for $15. Just got a credit card charge for almost $200- they never submitted a claim to her insurance. Waited over an hour on hold with billing office until I had to leave for another appt. So frustrated! I doubt anyone is even there!
