The Pasadena branch is terrible. They expect you to stand there and wait while they have an extended personal conversation WAY after banking business has been completed. So rude. And it's really hard to find parking. A lot of hassel for horrible service.

over a matter of several days, was unable to speak to a manager on the phone about opening a new account and seeking a medallion stamp, which is advertised on their website as some thing available to account holders. when I inquired about this, the person on the phone said "you can't just bring $100 and open an account and expect to get a medallion." I have no idea why she thought I only had $100. I explained that I didn't expect to get the medallion stamp right away and that I have no problem waiting a full year for that privilege and the account would be sizable. They continued to be defensive and hostile, and claimed to be just the messenger - we had not discussed my mom's finances and they seemed very uninterested in us as customers. I was hoping to find a long-term bank, but this one is not it. if a bank treats someone so poorly before they even secure an account I hate to see how they would treat you if they already have your money. no thank you.

Worst customer service ever. 4 employees on the floor with 2 customers being helped. Three customers waiting in line and the 1 teller was helping one of the customers who was also being helped by one of the employees at a desk. Waited in line 15 minutes without any acknowledgment from anyone that we were even standing there waiting.

lowest of the low interest paying banks for ira cd's! are they unaware that the fed has raised interest rates? at their absurdly low interest rate, the value of my ira's is in free-fall!

One West in Palm Deserts, Branch manager was horrible and treated my father who is a veteran with mild dementia with disrespect and my mom as well. The Manager's demeanor was terrible, not helpful to our family, offered no assistance with POA. We contacted Main branch to complain, never got a callback.Social services were called by this manager and caused my family strife. We'll be taking our money elsewhere upon next maturity date since he bullied my parents into keeping their money at that bank and even threatened to call the police on my mom and dad and kicked us out of the branch without explanation. My dad us a veteran and long time customer. Very disappointed in One west's treatment of an honored Veteran.

FEES! FEES! FEES! The worst back ever! The Bank uses outdated technology. Checks are mailed, rather electronically transferred to other accounts. More fees! Never return again!

My father and Mom used to have a checking account with One West bank. They closed their account because they were moving out of town. Last year, their IRS refund was sent to this old account. Some how or some way the IRS check was sent to another bank that was never affiliated to my parents. One West is claiming they never received these funds and when the IRS went to follow up with One West, One West says it was cashed at another bank. So strange. My parents are still trying to follow up with this terrible incident and this shines very poorly on One West and their lack of oversight or honesty. Do not support this business with your patronage.

Horrible customer service, do yourself a favor and find a better bank that’s not under CIT.

at one time one west was my favorite bank because of higher interest rates, location and the friendliness of the employees at my branch...everything changed very quickly in every area...recently i had an IRA maturing...this was a time sensitive matter to transfer it to another institution or be fined...the new institution wired the request overnight with a tracking number...one west sat on it for days before sending it only regular first class mail...stating it would take 7-10 days...they could not cut me a check to hand deliver to my new bank...which i thought to be very unprofessional...not to mention yet another fee to close the account...ive made numerous calls inquiring about the transfer...but the worst of many was hazel...who began talking over me in a harsh loud rude tone...she quoted me the wrong amount that was transferred, could not explain the history on my account and stated the reason it could take 10 days for my new bank to receive the check was because it was coming from another state...i verified that the next time i called and was told it goes directly from the pasadena branch to my new branch also in california...it was a nightmare and left me with enough lack of trust and lack of proper customer service to close the rest of my accounts from one west...

This is the worst financial institution I've ever dealt with. Initiated a re-finance that ended up taking four months of constant back-and-forth with errors at every turn (2 months into the re-fi the agent was still making mistakes inputting the address which kept delaying the process). I called numerous times to ensure everything was on track and was assured it was. After paying the condo certification fees and appraisal fees (~$1000) plus countless time dealing with staff errors, I was informed at the very tail-end that the loan had fallen through. My loan officer at the time offered to refund the Appraisal fee and never followed through. He was subsequently laid off. It took me ANOTHER four months to get a hold of an actual person to fulfill the written promises and even then was only issued the refund for the Appraisal after hours of being put on hold, re-directed, and sending emails to find the right person. I've STILL yet to receive a copy of my appraisal despite being legally obligated to a copy per the signed documents.Honestly I don't understand how this 'business' is even allowed to exist. Any positive reviews this place receives is fake, coerced, or a supreme outlier as noted by the numerous other reviews of the actual service. This place is either full of con artists or is a pool of incompetence. In either case, save yourself the time and the headache. Look elsewhere. You were warned.

We should've known from the start this bank is no good since opening an account was a huge hassle but we did it for the bonus. We were repeatedly assured by Azi that she was opening it correctly for the bonus to post and that it would post immediately after the minimum hold. All lies. We began calling after the account bonus didn't post and were told they have an additional 60 days to post it (first time we were told this). Cut to 3 mos later.... no bonus, hours of time wasted on hold and "research" where instead of remedying the problem we were repeatedly told by Azi that she "doesn't understand why or how this is happening". She and everyone can apparently see that the bonus was earned and 'supposed' to be posted to the account but she can't figure out why it didn't and after HOURS of 'research', which we later found out meant leaving a voicemail and sending an email to their 'marketing department' where apparently no one replies, we are left with no answers, no bonus, lots of wasted time and no reason to leave money at this horrific, untrustworthy institution run by people who don't care about you or your money. RUN AWAY.

My experience at this bank has been excellent. My husband and I opened an account a couple years ago when their interest rate was 2.10%, which was the highest rate for a brick and mortar bank at the time. Benny also offered to open us a checking account and put $1,000 in it and we got a $250 bonus A couple months later. As rates have dropped, as they have everywhere, we banked here less, but I recently realized they are now paying us one of the highest rates. My husband and I made another account here to get an annual locked in rate of 1%, which is higher than any brick and mortar bank I know of right now. Several months ago I moved most of our money to Fit Bank because they were paying much higher but they recently have dropped their rates about every three weeks to the point that I’m considering closing that account. There’s something nice about being able to walk into a bank and talk to my bankers. Our favorite banker here is Jeremy. He’s very nice and fun to bank with. Super knowledgeable too! We have common interests so we always chat when I go there. Benny has been great also but he may have transferred; I haven’t seen him the last few times I visited. He always kept in touch and would call me to let me know if any promotions I was eligible for. Amber is always lovely. I don’t think I’ve ever not seen her here. She works a lot but always has always been warm and friendly. The manager was generous to offer to waive our monthly fee this month because I thought I was going to close the account and transferred all the funds out. When I decided to keep the account open, I realized I might be charged the monthly service fee for having a zero balance temporarily, but the manager said she’d be happy to waive that. We are moving out of state soon and I was about to close my accounts at OWB but Amber reminded me about the annual 1% rate and that it’s one of the highest right now. Therefore we will keep these accounts open, likely even after we move. Overall we’ve had a great experience at this bank.
