I took in yoga pants for hemming, and agreed to pay $30. When I went to pick them up, the lady at the desk showed me what good work she had done and then rang me up for $35. She acted as though I was being difficult when I refused to pay more than my printed ticket! The hems are fine, straight stitching with a couple of loose threads and a gape on each side where the hem folds up (she did not bother to stitch that and when I asked, said it was unnecessary). This is not a professionally run business and I will never use them again.

All of the bad reviews are 100% accurate. The family that used to own this business was great and ran it extremely well. Note to current owner: if you post hours, you should adhere to those hours. There's nothing more irritating than planning your morning to drop off or pick up your dry cleaning only to find out the business is not open when it's supposed to be. This is the second time this is happened to me and I read the other reviewers comments on the same subject. This is partly why so many small businesses fail. If you don't pay attention to the details, your customers will go elsewhere because they have choice. Good luck, because you're going to need it.

I had a similar experience as many others below, I was quoted a price for alterations when I dropped the item off. The price was high but I just wanted it done. When I returned my item was not ready on the date promised and she told me to come back another day. When I returned a few days later she tried to charge me more than what was originally quoted to me. I objected and said I would pay what was originally quoted, she said fine but she had to charge me for pressing. This was a brand new, never worn item that was perfectly pressed when I dropped it off. Why would I pay to have it pressed?Total rip off, never coming back here.

I started coming to see Sherrie at Oak's cleaners about a tear ago, shortly after I moved to Pasadena. I brought her a few simple things at first just to dry clean, then a few simple alterations, and then I brought her some MAJOR alterations. Her work is beautiful. I would in fashion and sew myself, I just don't have time, but I am always impressed by her sweet nature and her excellent work. I love her shop and will continue going back!

They don't follow their posted hours. We asked for a 3day return for a wedding. Went 2x to pick up item during posted open hours and they were closed. Went to the wedding without the item. Have gone 3 other times for general dry cleaning during open hours after 8 am and before 5 and place is closed.

They ruined my Shirt (looks like iron burn), instead of apologizing, the lady said the hole was there. Considering the Shirt is not expensive and I don't want to waste additional time talking with her, I simply walked out and will not come back. Beware as others have posted, they don't display the price, the old lady will overcharged you when you least expected.

Over the last year plus, the new ownership has been hit or miss. I've tried to be understanding. I'm not particularly high maintenance about my dry cleaning. But I cannot let this stand what happened yesterday. I took in 7 items for dry cleaning. It was an assortment of shirts, one dress, and one sweater. The estimated total on the receipt at drop off was $78. Seemed high. But I needed the items cleaned and was willing to pay what it cost. At pick up, the woman said the estimated charge at drop off was for 7 items. They " discovered" an additional item while cleaning, a basic turtleneck sweater, so the price would be higher. I agreed to pay for the additional item. When I got home and looked at the receipt, I found I was charged $108. Yes, that means I was charged $30 to dry a turtleneck sweater which in any universe is not acceptable. Do I have time to go back and ask for a refund, no. It shouldn't be on me to make things right. They have e lost my business. Enjoy the $30, Oaks Cleaners.

I was a loyal fan of this business for years before I realized it had been sold. Today when I picked up dry-cleaning, I had to ask the clerk to put on her mask before I walked in. Moments later it slid down her face. As I drove past afterwards her mask was on her neck. This business is not respecting health standards. I will not return.

New ownership, be aware! Prices are higher, takes longer, and dirty dryclean like never were cleaned. Not only that, but they were about to give me other clients laundry if I didn'tpay attention they weren't mine! We miss the Korean old owner! Gotta change this place!

Oh Oaks cleaners. The family that used to own this place made Oaks a good place to go. They were efficient, cost conscious, and did an excellent job. Management has changed and so has Oaks. Their quotes for when garments will be ready is always wrong. Been twice when receipt said ready "Saturday at five" only to come in two days after Saturday and they still are not ready. Their prices have also gone up and the last three items I got from them were still dirty. Unfortunately this place isn't what it used to be. Off to find a new dry cleaner...

Fine for shirts - I would stay away for dry cleaning . New ownership-beware! After 5 years of outstanding quality and service, with no issues, in two months, they ruined a blazer and a new pair of pants. Both are un-wearable. Sorry to say, GONE FOR GOOD.

Our family has been bringing our clothes here for approx. 5 years. We were drawn to the environmentally friendly aspect and the fact that they don't charge more for women's clothing than men's, a big pet peeve of mine. We love the owners, they are warm and friendly. They do good work and do it in a timely manner. Great place overall.
