my girlfriend and i have been looking for furniture for our new place and we've come across a lot of expensive vintage places but modernism furniture def nailed it! Ask for Mel, he's amazing! he's super nice and he makes you feel super comfortable. we ended up buying a dining table!! such a hole in the wall!

Amazing mom and pop shop! Endless selection of furniture in store and with catalogs. Mel is super friendly, not pushy and knowledgeable about their inventory. We ordered our mid century modern bedroom set and side tables for our living room. Delivery took about 6 weeks. The Acapulco chairs and small round table fit in my car so I took those home the same day. We also ordered an outdoor dining table with 10 chairs. It was a custom order that took over 10 weeks. Mel kept us updated on the process. The design exceeded our expectations! Can't beat prices and great quality.

Great experience shopping here. Helpful sales and quick couch buying experience. Long lead times for custom couches but because of COVID and increased demand, it is what it is!

Please support this family owned business who uses all local businesses for their inventory and custom work. Don't be fooled by decor or how the store looks. I was a little sketchy about the store at first but we loved the owner, Mel. We spent what seemed like hours in the store trying to pick the right fabric. We were obsessed. We finally picked out the fabrics and order our custom couch. What a deal!! I have gone through so many couches in the last year - long story - and needed one that was gonna last for a bit but not break the bank. We got a fantastic couch and an even better deal. What we got would have cost more than twice as much somewhere else. When buying a couch, I need to try it out. It is hard for me to just go with it online. Of course, the delivery took long due to Covid, but that is EVERYWHERE so do not hold it against the store or Mel. I am so happy with our purchase and urge everyone to give them a try before Ashley's or Living Spaces or Feddes.

They have some cool stuff and good prices. Ordered a nice, mid century dining room set. Delivery was as smooth as can be. Mel called me the day before to confirm and they showed up exactly when Mel said they would. Couldn’t be happier.

Great selection of furniture. Bought a dining set from Modernism and love it. Mel was so patient with us! We went back multiple times and he remembered us each time. Mel and his partner Henry were so helpful with all our concerns.

Came to Modernism Furniture with my husband just to browse. We were greeted by the tall and friendly, Mel. Mel was the only one there and helping two other customers and encouraged us to look around and let him know if we had questions. He also told us to go upstairs and look since this was where they kept their sale items. The items up there were sold as-is and mostly were on display previously. Mel encouraged us to take our time and didn't follow us around the store trying to sell everything we had an interest in. I deeeeeply appreciated this space. We didn't intend on purchasing a dining set and couch that day, but we did! He also had catalogs that we could look through as well. The couch that we liked came with a chaise and 3 pillows for $899 (before tax). I honestly thought that was a good deal. We were able to pick out the color for the couch and pillows. He had a million fabric swatches and it took me a while to get through them all. I even had to take a break and walk around lol. As for our dining set, we liked the table from one set and chairs from another, however, the colors were not quite the same. Mel was so great that he told us, go ahead and order the table and when it arrives we can put the different colored chairs against it to see which pairs the best. He didn't rush us into purchasing something we might regret and again, I really appreciated this! This place is a real gem and I highly recommend that you come here just to take a look! Mel has a pretty large selection of things and I'm sure you will find something that piques your interest! P.S- plenty of street parking and there is also parking around the corner in the back!

I am moving, and have to buy some new furniture despite the COVID shutdowns. I'm so happy to have found Modernism Furniture!! It was amazing to be able to actually see and feel the furniture I was interested in before buying it. They also have a huge selection of product from catalogs they can order for you, or they can work with their vendors to make custom pieces. Not only was I able to get the EXACT item I found and liked online for a cheaper price, I loved being able to support a mom and pop shop instead of ordering from an online megastore. I must add that the salesman Mel was an absolute pleasure to work with, too!

This place has changed hands a few times over the past few years, but I'm a huge fan of the newest owners. The furniture selection is huge and diverse - from modern to eclectic, they have great choices that are always worth rummaging through.

These guys have everything from traditional pieces to modern pieces. Mostly modern! But all of it is so beautiful it's hard to choose. They have great prices as well as great service. There is no pressure just all service and they take care of you all the way until your pieces arrive safely. I bought a couch, a wardrobe chest (so cool) and a couple of pieces of really cool local artwork. I have to do small stints of 3-4 months in different cities for work so it's really important for me to find stuff that makes my place homey for the time being but also cost effective. This place made it easy to feel good about what I spent but also love my space.

We got a pair of couches, a huge mirror, a handmade wooden dresser, and some amazing wall art. I love their collection of art from local artists! Definitely worth checking out.
