Absolute Gem of a place. I was using their products at the hotel I was staying at and the quality and scents were just amazing, thankfully they had a store in Pasadena so went along and bought some to bring home.
The team there were super helpful and really friendly, even setting me up with a loyalty card.
This place is really worth a visit, they use all natural ingredients and the aromas and quality are high class.
Look out for the lemongrass and wasabi products, they are amazing!
I will return when I am back in LA!

- **Pamper Party Edition** Had a pamper party! Truly truly such a fun experience to share with the girls! Ally and Veronica were so lovely, we all felt accommodated for, love their products, and parking wasn't too difficult.
Yelp Elite might have got me in the door to know about this place but I will now be a full-time fan for a long time!
I had the privilege to do a pamper party at Lather with 4 of my girls. They were pretty booked up given our ideal day and time so this was about 4 months out of planning more or less. Ally, the store manager, however, worked with me to secure a date and checking in if anything changed!
We did also request if we could do anything for our friends engagement and they were able to give her a special treat! Cupcakes for all of us! The day before one of the people in my party could not come and they still let us give her a gift bag as if she was there, so sweet.
Pamper Parties are about 2 hours. It is a private event but they technically can't legally "close" the store which was alright with us! Thankfully no one really came in but just note that when you're looking to book they could offer a better time when it typically dies down in the store.
When you come in you're immediately greeted by the team helping us (Ally and Veronica at the time) who will give you your gift bags and talk you through the procedures: a consultation, a facial(ish) and recommendations on what to get for your skin type! While each person is either getting a consult or a facial you're free to enjoy the spread they provide for you: we had mimosa's, fruit, and cupcakes. You can bring your own food and drink as well!
I think 4/5 is a perfect number for everyone to have enough time.
Again, Ally and Veronica were super helpful and so sweet, loved their energy!
Notes:
- Parking: Street parking is pretty cruel in Pasadena but there is a parking lot on Darcy? Right on the corner from where the shop is that's safer in case you shop after. Can't mess with the parking police here.
Honestly I love this brand now. Their brand is exceptionally clean, I love the products and I'm excited to go back again! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!

Super friendly staff and their products are great! They work wonders! Def try them out and maybe get some samples! They’ll help you out with whatever skin concerns you may have but they have skincare, hair products, soaps, and more.

I've been coming to Lather in Pasadena for well over a decade back when it was originally on the other side of Colorado Boulevard. While I miss the old location, the products and the service continue to be top notch. I will admit I've gone through various skincare phases and bought everything from drugstore to high-end. Recently I have kept the basics of cleansing and moisturizing simple: gentle products without much fragrance, like Cetaphil. However, there are a number of products at Lather that I continue to rely on. Lather has products for virtually every skin type and concern you might have. I'm a fan of their Ultra Light Face Lotion, a very lightly scented moisturizer. I had been using CeraVe for months, but found that when I used a pharmaceutical skin cream along with it, I got a great deal of redness and irritation. Probably from one of the active ingredients in CeraVe. As soon as I went back to the Ultra Light Face Lotion, my skin calmed down. Another product I'm a fan of is their 10-minute Brightening Mask With Glycolic Acid. It's quite a powerful exfoliater that I would recommend easing yourself into. I find it works great in conjunction with products for evening skin tone like Tretinoin (Retin-A) and Hydroquinone. It's admittedly quite enjoyable just visiting the store and smelling the various products: they have a general trend of light floral or herbal notes: pleasant, but you're not left smelling like a garden. I enjoy the soaps for both their fragrance and their non-drying character. I especially enjoy the one containing patchouli. I have always received excellent service while shopping there. I'm almost always remember from past visits and greeted warmly. The staff have always been willing to answer questions and provide samples if you don't want to plop down a 40 dollars on a product you're unsure about (big props for that). They are also very liberal with samples. So, yeah. Good products. Good staff. Good store. Stop by.

I was so honored to be a part of today's private girls girls day where we were able to test and purchase different natural and vegan skin products! Ally and Veronica Thank you for your fantastic hospitality and you're informative direction in helping my skin glow again! Im sooo excited to look like I dont work 20 hours a day and get on dirty airplanes all the time! 10/10

The entire Lather team is highly knowledgeable and honest about their products, which is incredibly helpful for those who aren't quite familiar with beauty supplies overall (like myself). The team's hospitality only elevated the blending bar experience, as well as the overall shopping experience. The store itself is well organized, with many (but not too many) options to choose from. I recommend their gift sets in particular!

Do you want to pamper yourself and in need for some "me" time? Lather is the place for you!! All of the products are natural! They smell good and it actually works!! The lotion is so perfect for the cold weather that's making my hands very dry.

Apparently, this store has been in this particular location for about a year, having moved from a spot closer to Fair Oaks. It's a cute little storefront and pedestrians will be drawn by its smells and cute vibe. There's even a water dish for dogs outside. I appreciated the patient and knowledgeable staff and the opportunity to smell essential oils in isolation--namely, ylang ylang (even spelling it or saying it is tricky). It's an international potpourri on the shelves, from oils that hail from Morocco to India.

Walked into Lather Pasadena and it happened to be small business Saturday ! I went in looking for a specific hand cream and Allie was quick to help. She was professional and friendly. Since it was small business Saturday I was pleasantly gifted the cutest tote bag and stickers! They were also passing out little charcuterie snacks. Lather is a perfect stop for holiday gifts . Their products are reasonably priced and amazing ! They also have products for all types of skins ! Next time you are in Pasadena check them out .

Did I just find my new go-to natural skincare spot?! Because lemme tell you... LATHER is THAT girl. I made an appointment mid week (same day) and arrived a bit early. I was helped immediately and greeted/walked through the entire experience by Jacqueline who was extremely knowledgeable, hilarious and overall amazing. With J's guidance, we formulated a perfect essential oil roller moment - an all natural perfume alternative. Mine was a mix of neroli, black pepper, bergamot and rosewood; a perfectly balanced scent (I was basically born to do this). Who doesn't love smelling like they've just walked out of a spa?! Because I am an absolute skincare goblin, I HAD to grab a few goodies.. - Honey Moisture Mask: Obsessed. I have skin that's on the drier side, so I apply a thin layer to my face before bed and let it soak in all night. Girl, my skin is supple and hydrated. - Toning Eye Gel with Peptides: As someone with puffy eyes & rampant dark circles despite getting 8+ hours of sleep most nights (genetics is a helluva drug), I am always in search of an eye product that brightens & de-puffs. Voila. She's found. This product is light, and makes me look and feel more awake in the mornings. As a woman born and raised in Pasadena, my heart aches because I did not discover LATHER sooner. I can't wait to try more of their products and continue to support them while they in turn support my skincare journey. Love y'all!

What a find!! I'm VERY impressed with my experience at LATHER! I tend to be extremely skeptical of all skin care products- so much so that I haven't changed my skin care regimen since I was a teenager and I never wear makeup after numerous bad experiences with rashes and allergic reactions etc. So I was pretty nervous when my lovely Yelp buddy @SamB invited me to be a guest at her Pamper Party - but I'm SO glad I went!! Their "Pamper Party" service is for you and 5-6 friends and they do a skin care assessment and your group gets to do facials and face masks and you'll get personalized skin care recommendations from the LATHER pros - all while champagne flows and you snack on fruit and vegan cookies. We had A BLAST! Our hosts were Lauren (manager) and Jacqueline (total skin care PRO!!) and they were just awesome!! Fantastic energy - so bubbly, friendly, and fun!! They really made our evening so special....I can't say enough wonderful things about them. During the pamper party, they do a drawing for a prize. The prize for our party was their "summer soother" soap package that includes 4 bars of soap in various lavender scent combinations that smell amazing - and I won!! I never win anything so that just made my night haha! I walked away with several bottles of various skin care products - like toner, vitamin c serum, several cleaners and face masks - my first whole new skin care routine since I was a teenager! I've only been using my new routine for a few days and already see a HUGE difference in my face - it looks more radiant and all my blemishes are just gone - I'm blown away! We also got to hear all about the owner and her motivations for starting the business back in 1999 and her philosophies - all fantastic. I love that they don't use artificial perfumes and things like that. They're located in a lovely spot right in the heart of Old Town Pasadena. Parking is street parking or in one of the many public garages nearby. I parked in the De Lacey street garage which is super close and a good price. I'll definitely be back - highly recommend letting them personalize a routine for you - if I love it, I'm sure you will too - give it a try!!

Lather is definitely an excellent company. I can see they care very much about their customers! When they reached out via email to promote the extension of their VIP Sale event, I noticed the email was not one of those automatic emails. I took the opportunity to respond to them I was there and was disappointed. They responded within 24 hours. The store manager, Lauren, was extremely nice in her email and asked if we can have a short chat. Through my conversation with her, I can tell she was listening to what I had to say and was appreciative of the feedbacks I provided. I can tell Lather really focus on building and retaining relationships with their loyal customers. Overall: They rectify the situation and I am a happy customer once again! I can't wait to visit Lather soon! Thank you for being awesome. I love your products very much! Big kudos to Lauren.
