Excellent appraisals and insurance valuations of my fine jewelry pieces. Very reasonable price. Nice guy, too. I learned a lot during these appraisals - seems there's a lot of disinformation about fine jewelry out there and sometimes the value of an expensive piece of jewelry can either rise or fall due to market variations, style, current fashion, etc. Good to know all these things. Anyway, this was a great experience and I recommend this appraiser wholeheartedly.

Geoff definitely knows his business! He carefully evaluated each item I brought to him, taking the time to answer my questions and explain the points I was interested in. He was generous with his time and I never felt rushed. His pricing is more than fair. His wealth of experience in the gem and jewelry trade is impressive and I would recommend him to anyone needing helping in identifying and valuing their fine jewelry and/or gems.

I had some heirloom pieces I wanted to have appraised in order to sell. Geoff was super professional. His office is in a co-working building in Pasadena. Street or garage parking. His price for appraisal was competitive and the reports he provided were thorough. Would absolutely use him again.

As a jewelry store owner myself, I've used the services of Geoffrey Nelson for longer then I can imagine, 10, maybe 15 yrs. He is the most qualified person in the field and can identify and appraise anything I put in front of him. This is imortant to me as I do custom made jewelry and I need to be sure of the stones that my customers bring to me. His honesty and integrity are beyond reproach and I could not recommend anyone higher than I can Geoffrey Nelson.

I brought in a diamond ring for appraisal back in December 2021 and Geoffrey was extremely knowledgable and also very down-to-earth and easy to work with. He patiently answered my many questions about the process and demonstrated for example, how the Blue Nile etchings were hidden by one of the setting's prongs—something about which I'd had no idea, but later, when a jeweller couldn't find the etchings, I was able to tell them exactly where they were! Overall an excellent experience and highly recommended!
