I made several attempts for the Elizabeth Office to contact me concerning a problem IRS had and to have them research why I did not receive my 2020 taxes which they got paid for. NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME! THIS IS HOW THEY DO BUSINESS...SAD

Sadly, Ray (Or Roy) was a decent employee for H&T Block (I had him work on my taxes years back) however his integrity plummeted after my call with him today. He had asked me if I had gone to another location in the past. I said no as an explanation would take more time considering the complexity of my taxes. He quoted me his price. I then shared politely the amount range of the services from the other location. His response "well then maybe you should go there" presuming my question carried a complaining undertone.Taxes is something most of us would rather not take a course on. I asked why the difference because I was genuinely curious and his snarky response is inappropriate and unnecessary. It's a safe belief to think he had asked if I had gone to another branch so he can inflate his service charge. He didn't know who I was (as I said he's worked on my taxes previously).I'd shop around to get the best price if you're sticking with H&R Block. Apparently they charge differently however since they all operate under the same company name, they must use the same internal proprietary operating system to process your taxes. Ray(Roy) may be taking advantage over one's ignorance.

Mother needed her taxes done. I called around talked to Jamal and had an appointment. In a little over a week the taxes were done and filled and paid for. Couldn't have been easier.

Got nowhere with this place. Hard to trust a business with your personal tax and financial info when the receptionist needs you to repeat your name multiple times, and still any get it right!! At that point I said pass, will find a more professional and capable place to take my business. Too bad because I was encouraged by all the positive reviews and testimonials

I've been going to this H&R Block location for about 3 or 4 years now and I am confident I am getting some of the best help possible. Ronald Lee is amazing. He makes sure I always feel comfortable to ask any questions I may have, and guides me through the whole process so that I can understand the nuances of everything. He's also very accommodating and flexible when it comes to appointments, as I've had to reschedule quite a few times. This is a great location and the parking is very easy as well. Going here makes it a lot less stressful during "tax season", which I think makes it worth it...

I'm not a frequent Yelper but gotta get on to give Ronald Lee (@Pasadena) a personal shout out! He helped my husband and I with our taxes for the second time and he was just great at his job. He was knowledgable and genuinely thoughtful. He helped us figure out lots of little expenses that we could have easily, and frankly most likely overlooked, and got us a higher return. We also enjoyed his quirky sense of humor, which made an unnerving task as pleasant as can be! I had a few follow-up questions after the taxes were filed, and I called and left him a message. He returned my call promptly, gave good advice, and answered everything patiently. I could not be more grateful. I think Ronald is a grade A+ employee and deserve a raise :)

We used Ronald Lee and had a great experience. He is very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. He will get you the highest return/refund as possible, and is very fast and great at what he does. He even gave us free tickets to go paint balling! If you use this place, i would highly recommend you go with Ronald!

Used this service for the first time after our out-of-state tax preparer decided to retire! We used H&R Block two decades ago and remember being very pleased with them, so there was no question we would go back to them. Made an appointment to have a second review of tax documents. Took time off from work to get there and be told that they can't find my appointment and when they do - they won't be able to review before the tax deadline despite every representation made by their staff before. Never again.
