I absolutely love this place. Everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable of the vitamins (always do your own research as well). Their pricing is incredible and products have always been on point. This store has been around for 40 years so it feels like youre going to the family store. I recommend this place to everyone.

It reminds me of the Heath Food Stores I used to shop at in the early '70s when none of the supermarkets had anything I wanted. That is a comfort for me. A good place to support.

This place claims to want to be a health food store and help people… Their prices are higher than Whole Foods… Whole Foods… The most expensive place to get anything natural and you guys are pricing higher than them? Seriously? The same brands don’t waste your time here… I still think the best option is shopping online for this type of stuff.

I walked in this store out of curiosity and to also kill time as I had a hair appointment next door. There were a few other woman working and none of them were friendly or welcoming at ALL. As I was looking through the moisturizers I was approached by an older Asian man with grey hair. I had asked a few questions and the man was extremely rude and would not stop staring or "watching" me the entire time I was in the store. This made me extremely uncomfortable. I've been to many Health/ Natural stores before and this place by far has been the worst. Definitely recommend for them to work on their customer service, and maybe clean the place up a little. I would advise you to go anywhere else, nothing special about this place at ALL.

You know I used to recommend this place but I just had the worst experience here. While we've been in a pandemic, the last three years, it's obvious some things have changed, but I just received a very poor reaction when I went to pick up bulk herbs, which apparently they stopped during the pandemic. The woman, who I believe is one of the owners, I think it's the mother of the person I used to know, when I asked about them, gave me a very negative offhand, comment that they stopped carrying them "three years ago." And I said oh yeah, the pandemic sorry I haven't been here, and she just kept on walking with yeah, oh well and then left. I think they need a spiritual cleanse on this place because that was just toxic. I understand that people might be going through some thing, but this was one of the only places in SoCal, that I know of that you could get good quality, bulk herbs, while they still have some, and I understand why they may not anymore, the way that was handled. It was just really rude. I came in with a list... I could've spent well over $100. They're just today on the herbs alone and teas, not including my supplements. But I just feel completely turned off by the whole experience and I don't really care to come back to it. If you're struggling, then I think that the first thing you need to address is whatever it is, that's bugging you, because it's rubbing off on the experience of everyone else. I've been coming here for a very long time and it doesn't feel like they care. And for the record, I represent a nonprofit, we use herbs and essences as part of our healing practices. I represent a young group of about 100 students who had planned to refer to them, and I know that they don't know this, but I just really really irritates me that that was such a negative experience.

I've been shopping here for 30 years. I like that it's not a giant chain & they have a much bigger selection that the large chains. The prices are pretty normal. The staff is educated and will recommend products that are helpful for various conditions if you haven't done your research already. The owner is there all the time & its been the same employees for the past 30 years as well.

Health Food City is a friendly vitamin, herb tea, and stock many holistic items, and cold remedies. They may order bulk items to save you money. The prices are fair. This store will have something for your tired, aching body and mind.
