The hike was very easy. I had my baby with me and carried him in a carrier but could have easily pushed him in the jogging stroller. There was no water in the stream that we crossed so didn’t get wet.
It was a holiday weekend so it was very busy.

This was a medium difficulty hike due to going uphill and having to cross multiple creeks. I consider this a half day hike, it took me 4 hours to finish this hike, it was 85 degrees and i took rest breaks frequently. I wore my hiking boots but i packed my beach sandals in my hiking backpack. Stay hydrated and happy hiking!
Toilets: The nature center opens up at 10:30am and the restrooms are in there, so plan your trip wisely. There are portable restrooms but they had no tissue in them, to be safe, bring your own tissue or baby wipes.
Dog-friendliness: Many hikers were walking their dogs on a leash, and some hikers were playing in the creeks with their dogs.

This hike was very enjoyable! You have to cross the stream eight times so your feet will probably get wet. I enjoyed the views walking within the canyon and the varied terrain. There were many places to enjoy a shaded break and the waterfall was flowing quite nicely. I’m looking forward to going back.
Dog-friendliness: Many people were walking their dogs along this trail. It’s not a long hike. It just gets challenging if you decide to try and cross the streams without getting wet.

We experienced blue skies, warm weather, and good vibes, at Eaton Canyon in Pasadena, California. With the lush greenery rustling gently in the breeze as hikers make their way along the picturesque trails, discovering hidden waterfalls and breathtaking vistas. Eaton Canyon is a wonderful relaxed walk with convenient access to vehicle parking and picnic areas for a pleasant outdoor experience. And it’s both child and dog friendly with lots of outdoor places to stop for shade along the pathways. You don’t have to be a world class athlete to enjoy this place.
Toilets: There are multiple public bathrooms inside the visitor centre and outside toilets that kept fairly clean.
Dog-friendliness: Dogs are most certainly welcome and expected to be leached while visiting.
Picnic area: You’ll see small picnic tables setup not far from where you park… there’s also great places to stop for a snack or small lunch along the different paths and walking trails.

If you visit Eaton canyon please bring your trash back. The place today is very popular and that brings with it a series of problems such as garbage.
There is no parking, people bring music for everyone and that is not valid. If you really want to take a good hike, do it at 7am so you can enjoy it 100%.

The 4 mile hike requires crossing the white alder decorated creek multiple times as it weaves through the canyon’s steep and narrow walls, and ends at the beautiful 40 foot cascade.
Eaton Canyon Falls is one of the most popular waterfalls in SoCal, and undoubtedly, the most popular in LA.
