Very bad at managing appointments. Expect to wait 1 to 1.5 hour longer. While I'm writing this review someone was waiting here before me and gave up and left. I don't understand how long have you've been doing this for to not know how to manage appointments correctly. Once I saw doctor he was very nice and professional. Waiting that long for 10 min consult with a crying little one is no good.

Been going here for years but find the most recent phlebotomist Ivan to be cold and impatient. He has had trouble locating the doctor's bloodwork orders on multiple occasions and I've had to call the doctor's office from my cell phone to get it resolved. He used a needle that was huge on my 2 year old. Left a nasty bruise and my baby cried terrified.

I bought my 10 month old for a blood draw. I wasn't sure what to expect because small human = small veins. Ivan got it the first time and my son did not even whimper. I was shocked (in a good way). The whole event was uneventful which is exactly what I wanted. =) Thanks Ivan! You rock!

Our first experience bringing our baby here (the Pasadena location) was great. The nurse was a young lady with a very happy and cheerful disposition. She took two tubes of our baby's blood and she didn't even cry. We had to bring all three of our girls in to get there blood drawn soon after and this time we had a different nurse who did not have a happy disposition, didn't seem to have any patience and poked two of our girls several times, wiggling the needle all around. It was awful. We came back one other time for our baby again and had the same terrible experience with the same nurse. We definitely won't come back here!

After a horrible experience at a different lab, my 11-month-old daughter's pediatrician referred me to Children's. Why they didn't send me to Children's in the first place is another story... When I got to Children's, I explained to Ivan, the phlebotomist, what happened at the first lab. He didn't seem too concerned and proceeded to prep my daughter's arm. It only took a couple of minutes and he was done! Quick and easy! I am definitely coming back if my daughter needs to have more blood work done. The paper/ filer I received from the pediatrician said they go to lunch from 1-2pm, but when I arrived, they were out to lunch from 12:30pm-1: 30pm. Enter on Bellefontaine Street for the parking structure.

We have been to different places for my daughter's blood test. She got hold down by the two other nurses as they cannot get any blood out from her and she was getting very scared. It was a painful experience and she was so frighten since. We tried ABC clinic but it just did not go well. The needle they use here is so fine and she has been coming here for 3 years. This is the only place she agrees to go for blood test. She said the nurse are so gentle and the needles are fine and its almost painless.

My son is only 2 but I've brought him a couple of times already to get his blood drawn and they always get it the first try. He had his blood drawn at the Huntington Memorial ER twice before and both times were heartbreaking for me. They held him down and poked him several times in each arm before being able to find a good vein. I only bring my kids here now when they need labs done.

Content: **This is a review of there PASADENA Lab location** *Do not go here if you want a quick and painless blood draw for your child! You have been warned!* Don't let their name deceive you... they are not very friendly when drawing your child's blood! We came here the other day to have my 1.5yr old son draw his blood. Everything was fine until the nurse was trying to find his veins. I can't imagine how many times they poked his arm and even wriggled the needle around... and they weren't very gentle! My son was crying like crazy! After a few minutes, we had to scold the nurse and ask them what the heck they were doing! The nurse got upset and just left! To top it off, the other nurse wouldn't acknowledge us or even try to draw any blood from my child because the first nurse probably talked to them in the back. *This place is HIGHLY unprofessional and does not deserve to care for your sweet child.* If you go here, all I can say is the nurse better find your child's vein right away, or else he will be in a lot of pain the whole time and you probably won't even get any blood drawn!

We took our son to get blood test for the first time today. I believed that the nurse didn't know what she is doing. She kept poking the needles in to his arm but still couldn't get any blood from him. I had to tell her to stop because my son was crying so much and didn't want her to poke him again. I was so disappointed. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I'm looking for somewhere else for my son blood test with experience nurse especially for kids. I usually never write review but this time I have to warn others. Hope this review help.

Just want to warn other parents of young children to be wary of the nurses at this location. We went to this location to get routine blood work. The nurse stuck my son and moved the needle around trying to find his vein. Grandmother who is a medical professional expressed concern that she may have been introducing air by moving it around so much and pulling it out. Nurse got offended and depended that she wasn't and proceeded to pull the needle out, roughly taped up my son's arm. She stormed out of the room and called her supervisor. She talked to her supervisor in front of us that grandmother complained and justified that my mother had no valid complaint. Told us we could try her coworker the next day. I came the next day with my son. The young male nurse was late. He arrived at 7:15am when they open at 7am. He didn't acknowledge me waiting outside or apologize for being late. At least he didn't decide to poke my son and claimed he had difficult veins and to try the Arcadia location or go to the Huntington Hospital. I fear he probably just didn't want to deal with us. Very disappointed in my experience. Update: Their Arcadia locations is so much better and Jenny the nurse there was amazing.
