Bodyscape was a great PT place for me to go to until my Physical Therapist, Shaina left for another practice. But Shaina was the only good thing about Bodyscape. In order to even get seen there, I was put on a waiting list and was told I would be called when there was an opening. It was I that had to call many times and check in and finally start my PT with Shaina. Billing was sporadic and we would not receive invoices for many months and get surprise bills. When Shaina left, again I was told I was on a waiting list until they hired a replacement. I waited for months and again, it was I that had to call in to find an opening. This new therapist was a nice person, but definitely not experienced like Shaina. I worked with her for a few months, until one day, as I was walking out of the facility, the front desk person asked me to step outside to talk. It was such an odd thing to ask and made me feel uncomfortable. I wondered what was wrong. It was then, I was told that this new therapist was leaving. I thought why the secrecy - was she in trouble? Very unprofessional! A new physical therapist soon took her place, by the name of Stephanie. Having been to several physical therapists, from Kaiser to independents for many years for myself and my family - I can say Stephanie is the worst physical therapist I have ever encountered. I cannot believe she is an actual physical therapist. She really is into talk therapy and cannot stop talking - I think she loves to hear herself talk. And she is so fake. She even read back to me my "my goals" at one point - and I could not believe my ears - she was making stuff up - like "I want to be able to garden with a pain level of 4." How did she come up with this? I'd like to have no pain, thank you! I had to hear each session how I would need to learn how to live with the pain. The talk went on and on. It would be ok if she talked while massaging me or helping me with exercises - but no - we would be doing nothing but her mouth yap yap yap with one antisceptic spray bottle in her hand spraying anything my body touched. She would walk away with the sprayer instead of watching my form on a machine. It was very frustrating. When we did get to work on the machines - she clearly had no experience with the gyrotonic machines. It was depressing - because that was the main reason I was going to Bodyscape in the first place. Each session with Stephanie, I dreaded, but because I was in pain I just kept hoping things would turn around. The straw that broke the camel's back, was when I asked Stephanie to give me a massage the first and only time. I had wondered this whole time, why she never gave massages like ALL the other physical therapists had. Others would always massage sore or tight areas before working on the machines. I was laying down for the massage, while Stephanie and her one gloved hand lightly touched me with one finger. I lay there in disbelief. That was the whole massage - unbelievable. I am familiar with touch therapy and have had it done before - but this was a joke. I let Bodyscape know my experience, but it was dismissed and I was told that the owner hand picks the physical therapists so I must be wrong with my assessment. They care more about defending themselves, willfully ignoring the truth.

Watch out! Consider going to another facility. Poorly managed. My wife had a horrible experience with Stephany. She spent the sessions telling her over and over that she needed to learn to live with the pain. She incessantly lectured her rather than help. The one and only time she asked for a massage when she was in a lot of pain. She put on gloves and touched her lightly with ONE finger! She told me she laid there in bewilderment and could not believe this person was an actual physical therapist. She had never offered to help her with any kind of message prior and it became clear when she asked her to do so, she did not know what she was doing.

I have lower back issues and after one particularly horrible strain, I finally decided to go to PT. My wife has been going to Leslie for a number of years and has had terrific results with various issues. Leslie thoroughly scrutinized my X-Rays and the commentary from the radiologist and besides the obvious spine issue, noticed I was not using my diaphragm correctly. Lightbulb time! She worked on my breathing, core and hip strengthening and taught me proper stretching technique. After 3 months, I was pain free and had newfound strength in my hips and glutes. Not to mention, a desire to stretch on a daily basis. Physical therapy is not miracle work. The benefit is equal to the amount of time and effort the patient is willing to do. But, you need a therapist who knows what they are doing and keeps up with new advances in the field. That in a nutshell is Leslie Frank.

Bodyscapes is the best. Sheetal at Bodyscapes is a joy to work with - her lovely voice, gentle manner, deep knowledge and creativity make every Pilates session a satisfying experience. She is sensitive and inventive in guiding a 75yr old and 95yr old, each with different Pilates experience and abilities, through classes that exercise and challenge appropriately (and therapeutically when necessary). Her classes are varied and focused on different body areas so that we get a thorough whole-body workout. Of all the teachers we have had over the years, Sheetal stands out!

I love Bodyscape and I love Shaina! Shaina looked at me as a whole person, rather than just a symptom, using a body and mind approach. The environment there is SO comforting and non-intimidating. When I "graduated" I was sad to leave! Thanks for everything, Shaina and the Bodyscape team!

I cannot say enough good things about Malia and the overall vibe and care at Bodyscape. I began physical therapy after suffering from chronic back pain for over 2 years. I had tried everything from acupuncture, chiropractic care, body workers, doctors, and physical braces. Nothing helped - the only other options would have been prescription drugs and/or surgery. I was at the point where I would be in tears over my pain. I felt almost hopeless, that was until I began working with Malia!! 4 months of physical therapy and I can so incredibly gratefully say I am no longer a chronic pain sufferer!!!Malia was very attentive and caring. I honestly felt like I was at a luxury spa w a private masseuse and trainer. Very VIP!! The staff are kind and all the equipment is excellent. Amazingly, not my intention but I ended up not only becoming stronger but looking stronger and trimming my waist! Nice bonus! All the therapists who work there put so much care into their clients recovery. The atmosphere is very calming, warm and inviting. I enjoyed the experience so much it was bittersweet for it to end!! I am eternally grateful for Malia and cannot recommend her and Bodyscape enough! Thank you so much!!!
