So this review a bit incorrect as the staff and Avocado experience quite excellent. At least before you make your purchase.
My bed sags like a 25 year old mattress (less than 2 years old). About 8 months into owning the bed, I came in to ask about it, and left after spending another couple grand on a topper. Now the sagging is just more obvious to the naked eye.
Honestly the Avocado bed-frame is most likely the culprit. My entire bed cost over $12000 and it is far from amazing. You can do better and they can do better. I’ve spent the last few months emailing with Aura (a return specialist) just to realize they don’t give a crap. They know their product isn’t that great. Apparently this new mattress needs to sink several inches!! before it can be returned. I have never had a new mattress sink and sag (be it a one worth thousands or $150). Their bed frame (which isn’t well made, shifts and creaks when you sit on it and creates that rigidity along the center which makes both halves of the bed sag) is not returnable. I thought that spending extra money on a eco mattress would make me feel like we were sleeping on a cloud. Don’t believe the hype. Definitely get your bed frame elsewhere. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Bad experience.

We’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of our mattress. We stopped by the Pasadena store a few times before making our final decision and each time, all the staff were knowledgeable, patient, and happy to answer all of our questions. Ross helped us with our purchase and was great to work with too.

Anto of Santa Monica store did a zoom call with me that went really well.
Manager Ross of the Pasadena store helped me with my first ever order and was very responsive per email and phone.
Prior to making the purchase, I also visited the Pasadena store and the staff was friendly and provided excellent service as I tried out the beds and pillows.
During this process I also spoke with their team that answered the phone Jessica in Colorado and Cerome in Hoboken.
They were able to answer my questions right away about inventory etc. and then transferred me to the Pasadena store once those questions were answered, and I needed to speak to the store manager to place the order.

Service at the store was friendly enough. We already knew what we wanted so it was just a matter of seeing it in person and placing an order. We thought it would be easy.
At purchase time, we were told it would be 2 to 4 days for building our mattress and then we should expect delivery about a week later.
After receiving no updates after the receipt, we followed up over a week later, only to be informed the representative wasn't sure about the delay and was waiting to hear back from the factory. Several back and forth messages later, and over two weeks, all we know is some parts for the mattress are out of stock and no estimate can be provided on delivery times. The order has now been cancelled. Customer service 101: set realistic expectations and be clear in your communications.
The mattress we ordered is still listed on the website as 2 to 4 days to shipment instead of out of stock. Other items on the website are listed as out of stock so they could make that change of they wanted to. This feels like deceptive business practices: offering something for sale that isn't actually available.

I had shopped online comparing mattresses first and Avocado was what I wanted. It’s rated best by Consumers Reports and their organic ingredients and environmental policies align with mine.
The sales person was helpful and not at all pushy. A bonus is kombucha on tap! I hopped on the mattress to see if I liked it, I did, bought it and out the door in 29 minutes.

Had the best experience in the store trying out mattresses. Ross was very helpful, super knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming! We picked our perfect mattress and some pillows and a comforter alongside.

Avery LeVine from customer service was excellent helping me navigate which mattress, frame, foundation, pillows, bedding, etc. to buy purchase. He's even going to reach out to me on a certain date to complete a second order where timing for delivery with the bed itself is essential.
I tried ordering first through my phone, then on my laptop, and was ready to give up before I reached out to Avocado's number on their website. Thank goodness for Avery!! He made it easy with his great communication skills, product knowledge( taking the initiative to look up measurements of how high the mattress will be from the floor based on the combination of articles I chose and more...), listening skills and patience!
Without me ever having tried an Avocado bed, I felt confident to buy the whole set up from frame through pillow protectors and sheets! If Avocado's products are as good as Avery LeVine was in his job, then I will be totally satisfied! Thank you, Avocado, for hiring this caring and intelligent person as representative of your products!

Ross was super helpful and knowledgeable, and I’m so excited to get my new mattress! I tried about 15 mattresses and the pillow top was the only one that took pressure off my lower back.
