Showed up Saturday at 6pm with a badly bleeding dog. Was told there was no doctor on duty. Had to drive 20 mins to LAASER. They saved our pup.

I am grateful to Dr. Mo and all the staff at AM Animal Hospital. When we have a real emergency, like our dog with pneumonia unable to breathe, we get seen and the pet is cared for. I have no doubt they saved our dogs life. When we have an appointment we understand that there may be a small wait because of other emergencies. Love this place

Dr Mohaghegh saved my dog's life and I will be forever grateful. My senior dog has Addison's Disease, heart disease, and diminished kidney function so she's in for vet visits every 25 days for the past three years. Dr Mohaghegh is thoughtful with his treatment plan and super patient with me during our visits. I always leave feeling BETTER about the situation and comforted knowing my dog is in his hands. Yes, the wait can be long but there's no other vet I trust more than Dr Mo. Please give the front desk staff patience as they see a TON of animals and take in a lot of emergencies. THANK YOU!

Disappointment... we had been taking our dogs here for over 12 years and we were treated like trash when we took our sick baby. Long story short, the people at the front desk and whoever is over them have no customer service, empathy, and are simply worthless. They didn't like the fact that I called them out (didn't yell or said bad words) for giving us wrong information and after keeping my baby in the back for 20 minutes without being treated, some lady called us in and stated lecturing us about being polite to the front staff. I was in complete shock and so upset. We ended up taking our ill baby somewhere else and he ended up passing away. Words cannot explain how disappointed and mad we are. It is a shame because we appreciate and respect the doctors, especially Dr. Chan. But they have some serious issues with the front staff. We will never go back there again.

Do not go here! First I find it weird that an emergency office will not let the owners go in the exam room with their pet. They take the pet and have you wait in the lobby. I wanted to go with my sick cat in the exam room and they told me I could not! My cat was seen and after spending $2000 she wasn't treated. I took her back after her symptoms continued and they wanted MORE money after already taking $ from me. Same day I took her they ssaid she needed to see a neurologist and hours later she died. They didn't even give her pain medicine she was howling and I knew she was in distress. They said her vitals were all good, and referred me to a neurologist. I don't think they even checked her vitals or took the situation serious! I told the vet tech she felt cold and less lethargic and he insisted her temperature was fine. They don't know what they're doing! They let my baby girl die and in pain! she was irreplaceable such an angel and died moments after this place supposedly treated her! They did not do their due diligence at all. They sent away a sick cat and didn't do a thing to help. Also, when I called to tell them my cat passed away the receptionist was rude and insensitive beyond words! I think it's important to have a staff that actually has empathy. The staff alone shows the lack of care in this facility. No manners or bedside manner. I believe in karma.

I am updating from a 5 star review in 2018 to reflect the declining quality of this clinic, ending in a VERY troubling (and potentially dangerous) recent experience!! Today, after feeling like something was off with the medication our dog was prescribed, we googled the pill we were giving her to make sure it was correct. We realized that Animal AM-AECP incorrectly mixed up our dog's pills and gave us 150 pills of antibiotics, and printed and labeled it as a low-dose daily anti-inflammatory (carprofen). Our dog was taking this antibiotic for 2 months when she was supposed to be taking the doggy equivalent of Advil. Again - they had it labeled as a completely different drug, so the only way we knew was by googling a description of the pill to find out what it actually was. We had enough supply that we could have potentially given her the wrong drug for 6 months straight if we hadn't suspected something was off. The vet is launching an internal investigation as to how this happened, and hopefully there will be no long term effects on our dog. We feel lucky that she is seemingly okay. Unfortunately, this does not feel like an isolated event but rather the worst in a series of increasingly disorganized/unprofessional interactions with this clinic. My older dog has been coming here for 9 years, and the quality of this clinic has changed drastically in a few short years. I suspect but cannot confirm that this clinic has changed ownership, and is now run so poorly that things are always falling through the cracks, the staff is overwhelmed, and most of the competent medical staff has left as a consequence. We used to love our vet, but now seemingly have a different doctor every time we come in. As our dogs' ages have advanced we've been receiving mixed, unclear suggestions for care plans from each of these doctors as opposed to confident and helpful advise. While they are still an option for your pet in a dire emergency, I no longer can comfortably recommend this clinic to anybody looking for general or long term care for their animals.

My dog was sick with Kidney failure so I had to take him to the emergency due to him throwing up, shaking and not eating or drinking water. For the last (2)weeks he had been going back and forth to the doctor for his illness. Due to my dog possibly not recovering or even if he did, he would not last but only a few months. I decided to lay him down. It was a hard decision to make due to him being my child/baby. I have been torn about the situation but I did not want him to suffer anymore. He was 15 years old in a half so he lived a great life and I loved him immensely. Doctor Craig Mohaghegh, D.V. M. Was very informative, caring, and understanding and made the transition easy. He reassured me of the pros and cons of my dog's illness and was honest about his life span. I appreciated his honesty and professionalism. This is a great place to take your dog for any kind of matter dealing with your animal. They provide excellent care.

If you value your time and expect reliable service, steer clear of this animal clinic. Their chronic tardiness is a major turnoff, and their lack of communication and apologies only exacerbates the issue. I've had multiple appointments for different pets, and each time, I've been forced to wait beyond the scheduled time without any updates or apologies. It's evident that they have a systemic problem with punctuality, even for basic services. This clinic needs to overhaul its scheduling system and prioritize customer service. Until then, I recommend finding a more reliable and respectful veterinary practice.

I had been going to this place because I liked Dr Moe ( he was a big fan of Dr Carlson - my favorite vet of all time until he retired). Dr Moe had a bit of Dr Carlson's touch. BUT -- I can't give enough of a HORRIBLE REVIEW about the office staff and techs. They are not only rude, but they outright lie about charges and policies. It's like the intended office policy is to anger as many customers as possible. I had a conversation with the office manager, Kristi, a few months ago about the office staff and she extended apologies, claiming that they have many complaints about the lack of professionalism, courtesy, and honesty, and she was trying to retrain the staff. Nothing has changed. In my most recent appointment, the staff pulled an illegal Bait and Switch. We received a written estimate for one set of x-rays at $203 then an additional view for $447. When I said we would do the set for $203, the attendant named Kadi said the $203 number was a mistake and it needed to change to $528. When I said she needed to honor the written estimate, she took on an aloof attitude. When I said I needed to talk to Dr Moe, she said he was in surgery, which was a lie. As I was waiting for the appt, another customer was having the same problem with the staff who she said was intentionally creating a confusing narrative and outright lying. The last time I arrived for an appointment, a customer was in the parking lot yelling about how manipulative the staff had been. I'm removing all of my pets from this vet. This place should be shut down, and Dr Moe should find another place to practice. Try an appointment only if you want to increase your blood pressure and see how angry you can get! The place is truly harmful.

Terrible Experience!!! I have 3 dogs and have been going to this animal clinic. The oldest passed away a month ago at the age of 15. Second one has heart mummr, fluid in both lung and abdomen, unable to even do teeth cleaning because of his health conditions. He needs to take 5 kinds of oral medicines twice a day. One of them named AM Vetmedin. 60 pills costs $165.38. My dogs have been taking the same medications for the past years. Take a look at the size of his usual pill and the one I just picked up 2 days ago. Almost 20 times bigger, if not 50 times. I didn't check and I have never opened the bottle. Called and asked for exchange to the same small size pill. Louisa said NO because they do not take meds back. I then asked for a refund or discount. She said NO. Nothing they can do. Is this how they treat long time clients?? All these $$$$$ spent all these years. They won't consider helping with their mistakes??? Good luck with you if you choose to go there.

If I can give 0 stars I would, Dr. Mohaghegh is the doctor that makes this place an unfriendly environment to bring my pets to. If he misdiagnoses your fur babies and mistreats his employees and clients I can’t imagine how he treats our babies when we’re not around. Having the degree to do the work doesn’t excuse the lacking I’ve seen and experienced with them. Taking in my pet and coming back with a list of problems and big fees then getting a second opinion elsewhere where my baby was okay and also over hearing how he treats his employees is not what you want when you’re dealing with a sick pet. I felt eased with the assistants and their reassurance when that dr wasn’t in the room. I will not be returning thanks to him and I urge you to please find a better hospital for your fur babies where not just the assistants care but the doctors too.

I cannot recommend this vet even for emergency services. If you have an emergency definitely try a different vet. I went here because the emergency fee is lower than most places, but you really get what you pay for. The staff was rude, condescending and tried to shame me for asking questions and being unable to pay for all the services they suggested. The vet techs in particular really need customer service training.

Our dog got bitten by a big coyote, son brought him in. They wanted to X-ray $1000. And kept saying he needs nightly monitor, he is dehydrated.. We then said we cannot afford that ( we all know if we agreed to that it would be a never ending vet charge) After that the vet say Ok-I'll give u a quote the visit" We were like "yes, why we came" at least look at the immediate issue. Shave, clean the bites, pain killer shot, antibiotics shot. Medicine to bring home as well as alcohol wipes to clean.. total out the door was $390. Rather then $1000 for X-ray only quote which re refused. He is walking around a bit now. Beware- when we walked in they were in heated argument with another owner , won't release his animal until he paid $3000.

My dog got a foxtail in her nose a couple of weeks ago. I was able to pull it out but she was still excessively sneezing afterward. I immediately brought her here as it was a Saturday afternoon and our regular vet was closed. The doctor spent about 5 minutes with my dog and then confidently told me there was no foxtail and she probably sneezed it out or I had gotten all of it. We paid and left. The following day she still did not seem right. She was still sneezing excessively and acting strange. I called them and described her behaviors and they told me they would ask the doctor and call back. They proceeded to string me along for several days, telling me to come back but that they needed to ask the doctor more things before i could make an appt, etc. I eventually gave up and went to our regular vet, Petsadena, who sedated my 9 lb dog and found a massive foxtail lodged way in back of her nasal cavity. At this point it had been four days since the foxtail initially went in. I'm honestly still afraid there could be more pieces that have migrated since I waited so many days to see another vet. I was confused and uncertain as to whether there was really a foxtail after this place told me there wasn't. Thank god I finally went somewhere else (i STILL haven't been called back by animal-AM). But I am still worried that the amount of time that passed would have been enough for other pieces of the foxtail to migrate to a location that is undetectable. I wish I had just waited until Monday and seen our regular vet as this place did more harm than good and prolonged the time the foxtail had to migrate in my dog's body. I am still concerned that parts of it it could have traveled out of reach of our vet by the time we got there. Listen to your pet parent instincts over the word of a vet from this place. I'm kicking myself that it took me four days until I decided to get another opinion.
