As a gift for a friend’s major birthday, I tried to find an ankle-length, hooded, dark-colored, thick terrycloth bath robe. Impossible! No one sells such a garment. Solution? Get it custom made. My rescuer? Maya & Company.
Maya searched for the fabric online and in the downtown garment district. Nothing! So she started checking stores for bath sheets (oversized bath towels). She found acceptable ones though I ended up finding a better color and quality online. She created the pattern based on an existing robe and completed the garment with several days to spare. She included terrific finishing details, such as using the towel edging as decorative trim on the pockets and sleeves and creating a “Made Exclusively For” label. The friend is delighted with the gift and uses the robe every night. All thoroughly satisfactory. A great result. Thanks Maya.

I found Maya & Company about a year back to get alterations on a wedding guest dress I had and was so happy with the results, I came back for alterations on my own wedding dress shortly thereafter. It was truly the best experiencing working with Maya and the rest of the staff and they understood my requests so perfectly. They had impeccable timelines and only the highest of quality, and even switch up the options on my bustle a few times until we got it perfect. They were very clear and reasonable about pricing and walked me through all the steps to make me feel well taken care of. I felt my most beautiful, secure, and effortless on my big day and I can't thank Maya & Company more. I will be coming back for any other alterations I may need in the very near future.

Maya and her team are among the kindest, best people I worked with for my wedding. I brought them a MillaNova dress from Viero Bridal in Pasadena that needed quite a bit of work to fit my vision - top alterations, taking in the waist, hem and bustle, etc. and I wanted custom sleeves. Through my many fittings, Maya and her team were always professional and kind, and above all were creative and solution oriented. Any issue I had or problem we ran into, Maya was equipped to solve it. The alterations were quite expensive, but I wouldn’t trust anyone else to do what Maya did to my dress. Thank you, Maya and team, for bringing my vision to life! I felt like an absolute dream on my wedding day, thanks to you.

Does an incredible job, is kind, quick- she’s a real tailor. She understands fabric and how to work with all materials, not just someone who can make a quick seam with a sewing machine, she’s an artist! I’ve been looking for someone like her, with wonderful quality for so many years!!!

Came here to have a dress taken in and a coat taken in as well. Both came out fantastic after being fitted to my body, they went from being square and hanging weird to fitted. They were able to finish in two weeks too, way sooner than the one month I had allocated.

I needed a fancy suit tailored before a big event and of course waited until the last minute but Maya and her team made it happen for me! They did a spectacular job and turned it around in less than 24 hours. I was so impressed. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend!!

Maya is amazing! Our puppy got to my kid's very old and very special blue bunny toy, and he was pretty much destroyed. Maya was incredibly patient and helpful, listening to my kid's preferences and concerns. She found fabric that matched, and now we have an amazing new/old bunny. Thank you Maya!

I lost 33 pounds. (Lucky me.) And I had 7 pair o pants I loved that I needed to pull in. They did an Amazing job! And the seam-work is super professional. Pants could have ended up looking crazy, but they turned out great. Reasonable prices, just a little over two weeks turnaround. (Less than the 3 weeks promised.) Super professional. Very nice. Great portal to make appointments. Go and alter your stuff with glee!
