John at AB Towing promised to transport a car for an agreed cash price and then left me hanging for over three hours, failing to return phone calls. Rarely do I find people with worse follow-through. Go to Acasta Towing. They did what they promised. Bruce

I recently hired Ted to flat-bed my car from Orange County up to Pasadena and highly, highly recommend him. I thought the rate was reasonable, communication was easy - would absolutely use him again.

I just have to say that when we bought a new Honda in Pasadena on our vacation and was assured by THEM that they could send us the car "no problem" and then didn't b/c they said they couldn't find anyone to transport the vehicle we were so bummed! :( Then we found Ray and Ted at AB Auto Transport. They went to the dealer to pick up my car and drove it down to Matson to put on a container to send to us in Hawaii. Ted even texted me a picture of my car loaded onto the truck! And he texted me the Matson receipt and assured me all went smoothly!! These guys were great to deal with long distance by phone! I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of auto transport!!! They're the best!!!! :)

Ted and his son showed up within 15 minutes and were extremely helpful. I had a flat tire and they got my car up and to the tire shop in no time. Extremely friendly and straight forward. Not overpriced at all. When I asked their professional opinion on whether we should put the spare on or get the tow he gave me the cheapest and best of the two. Would use again if needed in a heart beat.

What was supposed to be a fun filled day with my Boyfriend and I slowly turned into a series of unfortunate events, ending with his car breaking down.... As we sat on hold for over and hour with Subaru road side assistance, I got frustrated and decided to call a towing company instead. I called A&B towing company and they arrived within 15 min. Ted was very helpful and kind, with a great sense of humor, making us laugh on the way to the dealership. He was fast, efficient, and careful the entire time. Great company with great staff! Thanks again !

So, due to a seemingly undiagnosable problem with my Mustang, it keeps acting up on me. It will be fine one moment, then completely not start the next. It would only be a problem with starting, never dying on me... Until that one awful afternoon about three weeks ago... I was driving in Pasadena when I was stopped at a light momentarily and the engine died. Just like that! It was a slow, fading death, then silence. Of course this would happen at a busy intersection in the middle of Pasadena. OMG, talk about panic. I Yelped the closest tow service and AB Auto Transport came up. I was quoted about 15 minutes that the tow truck would arrive and I think they came in a little over 10, which was great. The car was almost starting up again when they arrived, so I was seriously kicking myself for calling them because I said to myself, This d*** car is going to work the moment I get it towed. Ted, the owner, showed up with his young teenaged son. He quoted me a shocking $125 to take it to my mechanic in El Monte, which was 9 miles away. I felt it was a quote based on my moment of desperation, which Ted was not beating around the corner about- his words being something very much like, "Well, you know, your situation and all..." I've had my car towed from Anaheim to my mechanic (32.1 miles away) for about $160, so you can imagine how awful I felt when he quoted me that price. I immediately regretted calling his tow service. However, he was already there, so what could I do? Get this: while we were on our way, Ted tells me, "I prefer cash. Please." My husband, when I called him to go to the bank to get the money because I didn't have that amount on me, said it was bogus that we had to pay cash; he said, "That amount is ridiculous; tell him we'll pay cash if he gives us a discount, otherwise put it on the credit card." When I relayed that message, Ted tells me that there's a "service charge" of 2.0-something percent if I want to use my card. Seriously, are you f-ing with me right now? Talk about taking advantage of the situation. I was already really pissed about the car, now you're trying to rip me off with some ridiculous quote you pull out of your a** because of my situation, then you try to nickel and dime me about my form of payment. I almost feel bad leaving such a poor review because Ted was nice otherwise. He tried to cheer me up about my situation with small talk, even relaying his own towing situation that cost him over $300 or $400 that past weekend when he had a blowout in Pismo Beach on the freeway and such. He recommended a mechanic that specialized in Fords without the Ford dealership price because our mechanic couldn't find what was wrong with our car. He even text me the next day with the information of that shop, which I thought was really considerate. I want to believe that this is because he is a nice guy, not because he saw me using my Yelp app. However, this review comes down to whether this business would have me for a customer again or whether I'd actually recommend it to my friends and family and that's a no. Sorry, Ted. I found your tactics shady and your services overpriced. P.S.- Almost everyone I told the price to said, "OMG, you don't have Triple A???" No, I don't. I am not in the habit of driving cars that need towing and in a moment of temporary freak-out, Triple A was not the first thing I thought of. P.P.S- We arrived at my mechanic and he started the car without any issues. A week later, we pick up the Mustang and still had no diagnosis of the problem.

This tow company is A++ I saw the yelp reviews and called to get a quote for a tow and was given an amazing deal... On top of that, he was at my house in 10 mins. I couldn't believe it! I've had my car towed a few times and none of those other times did any of the tow operators use the hitch tool for my car. I didn't even know I had one lol Ted was quick loading and unloading and he was a really cool guy. Definitely my go to for tows locally.

Our car broke down over the weekend, and I search yelp and base on good reviews, I called AB auto transport. within 15 minutes my car was hooked up and towed home. the owner was polite, and most of all, price was reasonable. that lead me to call AB transport again two days later when I needed to transport my car to the mechanic. again, I was greeted with prompt and professional service. Highly recommended if you ever need a transport service!!!

If you need someone reliable who sticks to their word, Ted from AB Auto Transport is not your guy. He took the job and literally 30 minutes before pickup time, he decides the transport distance is too far and not worth the pre-negotiated rate. I ask him how much he would do it for and he ends up increasing the price by over 50%. Keep in mind that when he accepted the job 3-days before the car was scheduled to be transported, he had the pick up and drop off address so he knew the exact distance to be traveled. At this point I am pretty irritated because I run my own business and this car needed to be at a facility for re-sale that day. I explain this to Ted and say that it was his mistake and he needs to take responsibility for it. The only thing he kept repeating was that this "was not personal" as if that was supposed to make everything okay. I run my own business as well and need reliable, honest, and trustworthy individuals who do not go back on their word; Ted from AB Auto Transport is not one of these individuals. When I make mistakes, I follow through regardless and chalk it up as a lesson learned.

Great service. Very professional, trustworthy and courteous. On time and no money issues. I needed to transport a recently painted car from La Habra to Pasadena, but was out of town and had to organize it remotely. Ted provided excellent, on-time service for a very reasonable price. I recommend AB Auto Transport and would use them again in a heartbeat. JM

Great service, very professional, reliable, and great rates. I needed a last minute tow. Ted and son showed up exactly when he said he would show up and then towed 2 cars for me across town. He called at each stop along the way to let me know he was about to reach his destination and then called me again when the last car was dropped off. It couldn't have gone more smoothly. A real pleasure to work with. I'm so glad yelp reviews came through for me this time...there's a reason why he's gotten 5 stars. If you decide you want to call around for quotes....go ahead, but you must remember to give AB Auto Transport a call.

I needed to have my classic 1973 Porsche 911 towed from Fresno to Pasadena. The car had been sitting in a garage for 10 years and Inoperable. Ted was very professional by contacting my mother in law who had the car stored in the garage. He showed up and professionally hooked up the car and delivered on time to the shop. He is extremely pleasant to deal with and very trust worthy. Finding a reliable car transport service can be very tricky and unreliable. Ted me this experience extremely easy. AAA service!!! Thanks for all your help Ted and bringing my car.
