Our family loved the Tiny Home we rented through Airbnb. The scenery was beautiful.

It’s a 2 star resort with 5 star people. There are a lot of very old RV’s that are parked here year round so it tends to have a junky look to it. Many other resorts make you pull them out if you aren’t occupying them. We are renting a park model with a river view so have been pleased with our accommodations. Laundry facilities have much to be desired and we find it better to go into Havasu City to do our wash. There is a small 3 par golf course in the park and many snow birds take advantage of it. Front desk people have been helpful. There is no WiFi here regardless what they say. If you don’t have your own, you will be disappointed in that regard.

We've been going to this place for over 20 years. It was once a very nice place to spend our vacations but lately, it's a dump. Their storage area is basically a junk yard littered with old tire abandoned trailers, Motorhomes, boats and cars. Recently Several items were taken from our rig. The license plates, battery and battery covers, they pried the lock on the back door of our rig but couldn't break in, thank goodness we have two locks. The resort makes it a policy that all trailers and RV's stored at the resort a key has to be left with them. Well they lost our spare key! They couldn't find it anywhere or simply they released our keys to someone else. We were told that over 20 rigs were recently broken in to. That if we're missing anything to file a police report. Not a safe place to keep your stuff. There's no security, the office personnel can only do so much. River lodge is not a good place to camp anymore, they do not have any shade it's all dirt. They built tiny houses everywhere by the waterfront. If you enjoy camping with rats, bats, flies, scorpions, spiders and fire ants then this is the resort for you. The management just throw their hands up in the air and say nothing we can do about it! It's a beautiful location but not worth getting your stuff stolen or better yet getting a disease due to unsanitary environment you're exposed to. We moved to a much better resort, we're so much happier there!

Spider infested shack.... we rented a "bungalow" for 4 days. It was so disgusting I wouldn't even let my kids sleep there. I killed a dozen spiders the first hour we were there. There were cobwebs everywhere and the place had not been cleaned in what looked like years. I had my husband go to the store for antibacterial cleaner before we could even us the bathroom. The futon had at least 20 dead spiders and bugs on it. One day the water was turned off for almost 6 hours without any warning or explanation and when the water finally came back on is was completely brown. There are no words to describe how disgusting this place is. This place has not been updated since the 70's. There is a hole on the front door where all the bugs fly through every night. The fridge was filthy. The hot water for the shower lasted 60 seconds max. All the furniture was dusty and the kitchen counters and stove still had food from the previous renter. The entire campground is dirt so it's incredibly dusty. There is a huge fire ant problem there and the trees drop branches with 1" thorns that many of us steeped on and it went through our sandals into our feet. The beach is rocky and horrible. I DO NOT recommend this place. Save your money and stay anywhere else but here.

Great location right on the river. Sorry to say. that the place needs a good cleaning. Bathrooms and showers are so,so. The park needs a lot of work. This could be a 5 star resort if they'd take care of it. The state park across the river is so much better than the river lodge. Would I stay here again? Only if nothing else was available. If they got their act together and cleaned up the place I would come back.

We just spent four relaxing days at one of the riverfront houses and it was bliss. The park staff were friendly, the grounds were clean, and there's a little market on site where you can buy ice, snacks, life jackets - even boat propellers! The sunrise over the river was beautiful. I can't believe some of the complaints from other reviewers. Phone service is spotty, but that's how it is in the area. Wifi doesn't work in all areas of the park, though we hardly noticed because we were boating and floating and enjoying ourselves instead of trying to get a connection. They are doing some improvements in the park so there is some equipment and piles of gravel about, but it's not in the way. Yes, there are bugs and gnats, and every so often a scorpion or two....it's the river, not the Four Seasons! Like I always say, "If you're lucky enough to be at the river, you're lucky enough."

Place itself is a dump old run down dirty trash and crap every where . Staff if u call it staff disappears at 2 shut down offices and go like a darn ghost town here , No phone service very sketchy at best , can have so much potential but the parks in shambles , old clutter of junk litters the property through out park. Staff can careless not service oriented when u do find one . The only and I mean only good things are the tiny houses river front u can rent ! Access to river. Is great but don't bring your golf clubs lol. That's another story see for you self. There are no amenities here , other parks down the road are super clean and maintained river front also spend your money elsewhere . Too bad they don't clean it up , a little money put back into the place. T L C needed.

Our camping experience was terrible! I would not recommend this place. First off, it was 110 degrees and the electricity kept shutting off and it was not just our trailer but everyone around us was complaining about it. They sent someone out to fix it however it continued to happen the whole 4 days we were there. The Wi-Fi never worked and to top it all off the owner was so awful! We mistakenly parked in a place we weren't suppose to and instead of politely asking us to move he came over screaming and swearing at us saying he was calling a tow truck driver, and it was going to cost us a $1,000 dollars to get out of impound. So not necessary, a simple "hey can you not park here" would have been great. So if you want to be yelled at all weekend like you're back at summer camp then you should definitely stay at this place.

The people were really nice and accomodating. However, the shower was broken (they fixed it very quickly) and there were a lot of roaches in the bungalow. Its a "rustic" setting so more forgivable than a regular hotel but still tge "rusticness" was a bit much for how expensive it was.

This was our first winter on this side of the river and we stayed at River Lodge Resort for a couple months (jan-Feb). The staff is very nice. We booked a 50 amp RV spot, but when we went to plug in our motorhome we had less than 30 amps. The office had an electrician down here really quick to change it over to 50 amp. The people in the park are friendly. I give this 3 stars because it seems the owners don't do much to improve the park. There is no gravel so it is very nasty. When the wind blows the dust is horrible. The residents ride by in their golf carts (which I think almost every winter visitor to this park has one) and creates so much dust. The water is pretty bad. We used our RO system so it wasn't much of an issue for us, but were never informed about the water. Here's what the water looks like after it had been off for a few hours and the park never flushed the system. There are burros in the park. They are really cute, but don't leave garbage or food out or they will be in it. The park does a good job at cleaning up the burro p**** but there is so much burro urine my dog wouldn't even go on a walk on a leash as she wanted to stop every 5 feet to sniff burro pee. The residents who come here or own tiny homes here told us they have to buy their own gravel because the park doesn't bring any in. Not a bad park...but be ready for a dirty campground. They have a lot of activities in the park and the winter guests try really hard to make it a community.

I love this place! My home away from home. The staff is great, relaxing environment and close to all the crazy fun. Thor and Tara are the best. I've been treated like family and will continue to make this my vacation destination.

Excellent location right on a curve in the river and about a mile or so from the Dam. It was fun watching the boats turn around and take off at full speed throwing rooster tails as they raced down the straight away from the curve. The scenery was beautiful. We could leave our boat and jet skis in the marina for free (Anchor, not dock) and they were close to where our site was. The lodge has a golf course which was fun even though I suck at golf. Everyone in the campground was extremely friendly. The donkeys were pretty cool too. I read some of the previous reviews but strongly disagree with what was said about the staff. I found them to be helpful and nice. I would definitely recommend this spot especially for the price. I'm sure there are more done up spots to stay at but they were charging an arm and a leg for a weekend stay.
