Great to see people from all ages and backgrounds show up and help the City of Compton. Someone once said, “You can pretend to care, but you cannot pretend to show up”. Truly a great cause!

This is a very worthwhile organization. They get together 4 times a year to beautify the city of Compton. Usually on a Saturday for 4 hours. About 1500 to 2000 volunteers show up to help out and bless the city. They paint house's, school's, and buildings in the city. They also clean up yards, trim trees and remove unwanted bushes and trash. There are also behind the scene duties to do a week or two before the event, if you are interested. The local churches pitch in along with the city, the Sheriffs dept. and other organizations. It is a great time to get a little dirty, meet new people and try and turn the city of Compton into a better place. It would be nice to see you there sometime. Due to COVID we will not be meeting until it is safe.

Each event is very well organized. Breakfast and lunch provided for all volunteers. It's a pleasure to see the communities come together to clean, paint and be a blessing to the City of Compton!

The Compton Initiative is an critical component of urban renewal. This organization invest time, money, and free labor to partner with local Compton city officials to help uplift the city and instill civic pride throughout the city. TCI also offers countless of opportunities to other service minded organizations to come along side and serve in ways that instills pride and goodness in the server. A worthy cause indeed. Please don't hesitate to join in this endeavor. The experience is uplifting and memorable.

This is truly a wonderful nonprofit, which gives to Compton instead of having their hands out for the government money Compton solicits!

Where do I start.. Well first off praise the lord I'm very pleased with the friendly staff we are talking men women and children all beautiful volunteering their free time to get the residential homes in COMPTON together and most of them did not even live close to the city. My parents left me a home and both of them died in this home with cancer..now here I was diagnosed with cancer always was depressed coming to this home because of my parents I was grieving a whole lot. But since Paster Ed, Jody Mike and his wonderful team came through I'm very motivated out of depression and ready too move forward in life while I'm in remission. So here are some pics I hope you enjoy. GOD bless and please support this organization.

Compton Initiative painted my house after my grandmother passed away. I was glad to volunteer and give back to such and amazing ministry!
