Horrible. After repairing the transmission... the engine light keeps going on and off after 2months. They will give you the run around until your warranty expires.

This is more of a reply to Robert R. It sounds like you bought a lemon and are trying to blame it on the transmission shops. Why you took it to High tech after it failed the first time is kinda strange, Did you leave something out of the story with the 1st shop? So High Tech Finds out the wrong transmission is in the car, puts the right one in in a week.(normal for a trans rebuild) so now they find out there is an electrical issue. High tech eats 2 transmission rebuilds + the R and R, and you call the BBB on him...hmmm. As far as I'm concerned the BBB has been washed up for YEARS. I have been a mechanic for 38 years, and when I opened my 1st business, they sent me a thing that said I can get a 'a+' certification for joining and paying them money Really? Is that all I gotta do? iI took the liberty of going to the BBB and looking up High Tech. They are not registered with the BBB. (I dont blame him) the shop has an A+ rating and ZERO complaints. How they could tell you a transmission shop in business for 14 years "dont know what they are doing" is slander, and they should sue the BBB, I would. So you go to a 3rd shop, they replace a wiring harness (did you ask to see the short in the harness?). By this time this shop tell you the transmission is trash once again, you tell High Tech you want him to eat ANOTHER transmission, and he tells you where you can 'install' your transmission. Good for him. You never mention the name of the first shop, and dump the whole load of lemons on High Tech, when it sounds like he stood behind his work. I wish you had mentioned what make the van was, but is has lemon written all over it. and you give it to Kars For KIds and now some poor kids parents have the lemon sitting in their driveway after dumping who knows how much more money/time into it, that they couldn't afford since that are so poor they got a van donated to them. it's someone else's headache when you should have scrapped, blown up with dynamite or pushed the piece of junk over a cliff that was overlooking a wrecking yard. Nice work , Robert! You left a trail of victims with your lemon, and for all you know some other poor s***** is living the nightmare you created. Did you ever contact the manufacturer? Check for recalls? Did you yelp the manufacture? People dont understand how powerful something like yelp is. You have probably cost High Tech a few thousand $$$ in future business and will continue to cost them $$$ with your complaint sitting here. I put a tire shop out of business after the sold me some garbage tires with a review because they refused to stand behind them. As a matter of fact i still had one of the tires on my truck as a spare, and the thing spontaneously exploded sitting in my driveway. High Tech just rebuilt a turbo 400 for a 68 Lemans I'm restoring, so I can't really vouch for the business yet, but being a mechanic who will rebuild a transmission only if I have no other choice, because they are very complicated, and today's transmission are x10, and him being in that business for 14 years is a testament in itself. If he didn't know what he was doing he would not have lasted 3 months. How do you lose 40 days of work? Were you helping all the shops? That is another part of your story that makes no sense. Then to top it all off, you buy a Jeep! All the reviews I have read on their cars are not good except for the Standard Jeep (Cj5?) I will write a review, but I am 95% sure he did a good job, and if it is gonna break, I will break it. Turbo 400 should be a cakewalk for him.

I was having problem with transmission in my wife's van, had It replaced at another shop first. But it failed, so I took the transmission to High tech to get it rebuilt. It failed again! Had it towed to High Tech to find out what happened. The problem, they said was, the wrong transmission was installed, (not their problem),So they charged me $850 to put the right one in!!!! Failed again, each time, it took a week or more! This time, There is a electrical problem and they needed to send to a auto electric shop!!! More money!!! Next time, it was the computer!! Then Failed for the fourth time!!! I called BBB and Consumer Affairs. They said, They don't know what they are doing, take it somewhere else to find problem. So I took it to Bismark Trans in Maywood, and they told me Trans is shot, So I called High Tech and they replaced it again!!! Lasted 1 week again. Had Bismark replace a wire loom (shorting out). Lasted 3 months, called High Tech, He told me, he was finished with me because I called BBB on him and cancelled my 1 year warranty!!!! Bismark told me the trans was junk, and another $1850 to replace it again!! After losing a total of 40 days work at $400 a day as inspector in L.A. in RAMS stadium, I couldn't take it any more!!!! I called "Kars for Kids and donated it to them!!!! Now I have to buy the wife a new JEEP!!!
