Wow, wow, wow! Last week I reached out to the manager Alex to find out if he could fulfill an order for a food drive that my company is hosting for nonprofits in South LA. The answer was yes, and the service that I received from Mr. Cervantes was outstanding! From the time he received my message, he was prompt to return my calls, concerned about my cause, and reassuring that his team could deliver all of the food that we were requesting by the time we needed it.When I arrived to meet him in person, and to talk through final details, he was working on my order and had every item that I had requested on the countertop to ensure that I was getting what I purchased personally. He then introduce me to another manager name Chris, who was working with the warehouse team to pack all of the items and have them ready for an early morning pick up.This was the first time our company partnered with Stater brothers, but it certainly will not be the last. Kudos, to the staff and the company who obviously care about Customer Service and showing up for their community.

It was so unprofessional the cashier shamed a girl who looked around 17 , for not having enough money. I was beyond disgusted on the way they treated her. They kept yelling across the store making an announcement she didn't have enough , and the poor girl left .I get it she didn't have enough. But why be so rude about it? the cashier was old too.. Looked around 60 . So unprofessional i was beyond disgusted when i witness this.

I stopped by with a friend who moved in near by in the neighborhood of this location yesterday . We both noticed !This location has plenty of EXPIRED items in their meat dept including seafood items like cheviches , seafood salad , & many other items in their dairy fridge section like expired yogurts , One thing was noticeable for both of us while we were in meat dept we noticed an employee was peeling off labels off ALREADY packed meats !!!! In our opinion was replacing it with next FEW days experation labels from last expired date ....................Hate to write a bad reviews

Went to get chicken there and was told that I had to wait as they cooked the chicken. Told them that was cool, I would go shop and come back in 9 minutes. The guy at the counter told me I had to wait there "first come, first serve" and if I wanted to go shop as the chicken cooked I would have to get back in the line and hope it was still there.Stater Bros staff at Spring St location usually prepare it as I shop and set aside for when I come back. But apparently here you have to wait. When the chicken comes out the fryer the guy puts it in a plastic bag instead of a box. This caused the chicken to be soggy by the time I got home. Stater Brothers can and does better but not here.P.S. I NEVER have left such a long negative review but felt in this case it was deserved.Oh my gosh, I just read some of the reviews that were negative. I'm here and stater brothers. Keep saying "We strive for better customer service and we will do better." Let me tell you guys they haven't done better. If you're going to respond to this review, then do something about those rude children in the deli! A month ago a customer complained and you said you would do better and guess what? Nothing changed.

Went to the meat department and the guy was Rude he had no type of customer service. The ambiance was weird. All the meat department just looks at you like are you gonna order or what.

If you are in the military are a veteran or conservative stay clear of this Stater Bros. I'm a ex army veteran, i was in the store tonight wating in line to pay for my groceries when i started a conversation with a customer in front of me. I made a comment how we need adult to run are country. The customer didn't really didn't engage with me. The cashier decided to thank that customer for not engaging with me right in front of me. Like i was the biggest piece of s**** I kept my cool didn't say anything left pissed off. So i called the store. Spoke to a store manger.The store manager apologized for what the cashier had done but never once ask my name are number. So this why i'm writhing this to worn conservative, military and veteran they really to care about there customers.

I'll start off by saying until this stater brothers store I have always thought highly of this grocery store chain as they are always clean and well stocked and quality of products is great. I live in Lawandale and so there is no local stater brothers so I travel to different stater brothers around when wanting to shop and its usually driven by the wanting something from the meat department. Today I had a horrible experience at the meat counter there is a Not so gentleman who works in the meat department by the name of KEVIN whom wears a white coat. He was rude ,dissmissive and by his tone I would think he was prejudiced. I watched as he rudly yelled twice at an older hispanic lady that was asking for assistance in cutting ribs.It was uncalled for and just wrong if kevin doesn't like the public maybe he shouldn't work in customer service. I will be writing to corporate about this no one deserves to be yelled at or treated in this manner.

So today I went to my neighborhood Staters. I usually go during the week or during none peak hours due to Covid. But today is Saturday and the parking lot didn't seem bad. Also when I walked in the lines were short. I walked around the store to the back to get some crab legs. I was the 3rd person at the meat counter. We were all side by side but I chose to stand away from the 2 families ahead of me to social distance a bit due to the fact that at midnight are mask mandate in LA county is going on because our numbers are rising. So I see everyone behind the counter moving and talking to one another. I make eye contact with all of them! So after the two families ahead of was helped and the employees ask who was next I raised my hand and told them I was next. 2 employees ignored me and let everyone ahead of me smh. I ask why and the said because I wasn't in line lol. There was no line when i walked up it was just 3 people and I was number 3. My first mind said to just leave and go to the Spring street location but Joe was working and asked to help me. I was so taken back by his professionalism and customer service skills. I had to ask my cashier for a manager to give Joe a accommodation!!! He was amazing and did a great job today! If anyone knows him tell him his kindness was not overlooked. May God bless him!

I have already talked to the manager. The security guard was already looking at me (walking close to the automatic door) before I came inside so I waited for another lady to come and then he actually backed away. I was dealing with the security following me and getting way too close. The associates we're out of control this time, also. I am getting nauseous just thinking about how all the associates were standing around me like other customers. I'm trying to figure out why I always have to deal with associates yet when I'm basically turning to them for help they're walking away or doing something else so it's annoying. And I only come to the store because they are still open at 11 otherwise I would go to the Bargain Market which has everything. I have come to the manager to get them to stop being so annoying I'm already going to the store late so maybe I had a long day. And I'm not interested in drama between associates that's their problem. What could be one little issue is literally something else I am not ever going to deal with. And some weird lady with blond hair and a pink shirt was following me. I don't know if you have undercover workers but showing up by the register is one of those things I talked about with the security and the manager. It's awkward and I was only there for 10 minutes.

Some of the employees are rude. I'm noticing it's always men. I get it, it's not an easy job, but your attitude shouldn't ruin customers day. I asked an employee where something was, he did tell me, but he acted rude about it. It's as if I was inconveniencing him. The cashiers are friendlier (they mostly seem to be women) and I feel if they have seen you shopping there regularly, that they are even kinder. Not much diversity in staff.

I dropped my debit card at the parking lot and the security guard found it and returned it to the manager. Good honest people. I also needed to return an item. The cashier, floor manager and Victor who is the store manager we're all very pleasant, professional and happy to help. I will always shop at this store.

They have the best deli sandwiches my go to for lunch. I recommend the chicken bacon ranch.
