If I can give a NEGATIVE star, I would give this establishment negative 5 star! I called Thursday to get an appointment for pickup. The lady said tomorrow (Friday) between 11AM-5PM, no one came not even a single phone call. We waited and wasted time. Saturday night we called the main office number and they told us it would be Sunday pickup. The driver came but not after making at least three calls to follow up.WORST experience dealing with this Panorama branch!!!!

I wish I could give zero stars or a negative score. I only used them once back in 2021. My family received the box in over 2 months and more than half of what I sent didn't get to them. They open the box and pick and choose, they take all electronics first then go thru the rest. Their customer service is non-existent and told me I had to have an inventory list of what's in the package before I send it out. Like that would have really mattered. They will steal the whole box if they could. Never again.

I sent 3 jumbo box so far. First box made it to receiver with no issue. The second and third box a lot were stolenand not replaced. I wont send boxes to the phils thru ALAS again.

I've been using Alas Cargo for the last 16 years since my parents moved back to Bohol. I've sent MANY boxes throughout the years because my parents miss a lot of name brand items plus they are retired and look forward to receiving the boxes. NOT ONCE, have I had any problems with Alas from the time I drop off or pick up to when they receive the items at their door. The pick-up guys always call me at least 15 minutes before arriving and they are quick and efficient. With inflation going on, always call ahead to find out the prices. The destination determines the price, mine is Bohol so unfortunately it's further from the capital and costs more. Overall, I've been very happy with Alas and their employees.

2 minute read:This shipping office has been here for awhile. We come here when my wife needs to send money to the Philippines. This type of remittance has improved in safety delivery of your money. It only takes a few minutes but it can be done expeditiously.ALAS also provides the services offered by VIAMERICAS. I'm not certain how VIAMERICAS & ALAS functions, in tandem or what!. I need to get more clarifications as to what each one provides, as a service... if ALAS or VIAMERICAS remit your money, send your cargo, or whatever.I'll get an update on this conundrum.Thanks.P.S., I just noticed that this review is supposed to be for the ALAS on8340 Van Nuys Blvd, Unit 'A', Panorama City,91402. But I did it for the ALAS at 14447 Roscoe Blvd Unit G7, Panorama City CA, 91402Both addresses do the same thing.

I called the first to inquire for their rate. They said it was $60 for the big box. When I went to this Van Nuys branch I was charged $75 they said that the big box is now $75. My niece just send 2 days after the same size of box 24 x 18 x 24 at Pico Rivera branch they were only charged $60. So Make sure you ask first before going to any branch.

I always preferred Marlon the best guy in this company to pick up my boxes. He is very professional. He handled your boxes with care. He is very courteous and friendly always trying to help to make sure your boxes departed not ruin. The best guy of Alas Cargo.

If I could give these guys a double negative review, I would. November 2021, they delivered the box to my recipient with 80 percent of the content gone. I reported it within just a few hours, and these guys have no empathy whatsoever, they couldn't care less if your stuff get stolen or what.This is how they compensate their employees, they wont do a thing, wont go after the thieves.. but instead, you’d be talking to people like they dont know what’s goin on in the world.Bad serviceThievesOnly wants your $.You’ve been warned!

I used Alas Cargo to shipped 3 boxes to the Philippines. They said it will arrive in 3 months which was correct. Got them boxes on what they said will arrive BUT IN ONE OF THE BOXES, STUFF ARE MISSING ... i read Penny G. comment complaining about stuff missing in her box ... same thing with one of my box. I have tools missing on my box, definitely, those were stolen by ALAS CARGO ... the filipino employees of this company steal things in your balikbayan boxes. BEWARE .. DO NOT SEND BALIKBAYAN BOXES VIA ALAS CARGO, THEY OPEN YOUR BOXES AND SEE WHAT THEY CAN STEAL !
