I just found out that owner Abi died in 2021, which explains why I haven’t heard from them. So sad. He was great.

Have a receipt of the day I dropped of my laptop over a year ago. Tried getting it back and emailing nicely never heard from them again. I guess they stole my laptop at this point because I can't get it back and I was never called or payed for any service

Rest in peace, dearest Abbi. I am so sorry to hear that you have left us too early. I will miss your charming analogies and our talks. Thank you for your, Andrew's, Bob's, and all We Fix Macs employees' service over the years. You will be missed.

Today is a very sad day. I learned that Abbi passed away last month, he was only 54. For 17 years he fixed the macs of my lab at Stanford and the personal desktops, laptops, iPads, iPods, iPhones of my entire family. Because Abbi was unique, with an unmatched knowledge of the Macintosh then Apple world, his business will close, disappear from the Palo Alto scene. No one can replace him and the beauty of his Mac wired brain. If there is anyone out there in the Apple world who can pay him the tribute he deserves that would be fantastic. May you find peace and computers to tinker with wherever you are my friend. Prof. Philippe Mourrain

No website, just an out of date and super low effort facebook page with little information. Walked in to see about a mac repair and was turned away, told that the business is shutting down. Probably for the best

One of my apple devices began not charging through the port no matter what cable I used. I figured I take it to be inspected/serviced. So I went here, to we “fix” macs. One of my apple devices began not charging through the port no matter what cable I used. I figured I take it to be inspected/serviced. So I went here, to we “fix” macs. Upon entry, the guy there immediately began trying to up-sale me into buying a new apple product. Due to “unsuspected” repair costs. At the moment I declined wanting to invest in another product, and seek repairing my device. I was quote $160 in total. Including the inspecting fee. So initially about $40 just to get it looked at. I asked for turn around time. I specifically noted I needed it promptly. They said within a day or two it’ll be ready and a call will be made to pickup. Keep in mind I took my item in on a Monday afternoon. About when they open. So time goes by, I call Wednesday. They finally picked up after 3 consecutive calls and all I wanted was an update. They agreed to call me back by the end of day, and they never did. Now Saturday, they final “fixed” my product. They advised I go pick it up. I made my way down eagerly. Arriving, the same guy greeted me. Immediately, he wanted my pin code to check my software. I seen no practical use to do so. So I said I don’t remember it. Keep in mind, I took my device because it stopped charging. No charger seemed to work. Furthermore, the guy said he had to solder some pins within the charging port. That itself carried its own fee, outside of the $160 I was quoted. Made no sense. I asked myself then what was the $160 for? Beats me. With all said and done, he mentioned going out of his way doing this and that to the device in order for it tow work properly. I was frustrated at this point. The guy ended charging me a total of $246 dollars to fix a charging port. Don’t forget the other $40. He didn’t even remember that I paid the “Inspecting Fee” and wanted to re-bill me for that. Ridiculous. I paid the guy and my device didn’t even look like it had be properly “worked on.” By the looks of it, everything appears the same. To top it off, given the supposed extensive work done, I bought a new apple charger-brick/wire and it doesn’t accept it. You’d think after getting it “fixed”, any apple cable would work fine. And it does not. Tbh, complete waste of money, and time. Do your research before coming here. If you’d like to get robbed you know where. ?

I brought my HP desktop to have the missing hard drive rails replaced. Even though it was a PC they were able to fix it. Excellent Customer Service. I would recommend them to any one. Derek 6

My iMac hard drive failed so I took it into the Apple store in Palo Alto. The Genius Bar guy wouldn't touch it - out of date for repair he told me. So with a friend's suggestion I took it into "We Fix Macs on El Camino in Palo Alto. Abi suggested a solid state hard drive replacement, an upgrade of memory, and that he would try to recover data and apps from my failed hard drive. Two days later it was done and works fine. He has recovered the hard drive data, upgraded the system, installed a terabyte solid state hard drive, and reinstalled the appropriate apps at a quarter the cost of that of the new iMac I was thinking of ordering. Abi was thorough, pleasant to deal with, and totally competent - even offering to follow up with me if I had any subsequent questions.
