This Walgreens 80% of the time is out of medication only use this pharmacy if you absolutely have to please use alternate Walgreens or one closes to your home. Then the worst part is you have to get back in touch with the Dr to send the prescription to another Walgreens it's a head ache.

Great little pharmacy. They do offer free overnight shipping so I got all my medications here.

This pharmacy located inside Palo Alto medical center is fantastic! Very efficient and quick. It's literally hidden gem!

The pharmacy has a temporary operating hours due to COVID but Google hasn't updated the correct hours. They are open M-F from 9 to 5.

It's on A level of Palo Alto Medical Foundation main location and their staff has always been super friendly each and every time I use them. They are usually pretty quick too. Love this location.

I had gone for a blood test on March 06, 2020 at 7:08 a.m to Fremont PAMF Lab. The person who had drawn a blood on my right hand never used elastic band or cleaning up the area with wipes where the needle to be inserted. The lab technician inserted the needle deeper without any care. After this blood test, my forearm was swollen, moving my right hand in certain position the vein inside pulling and twitching a lot. My PCP referred me to the neurologist but now due to COVID-19 situation I can't see the neurologist too. An irresponsible lab technician made my life miserable. Can someone recommend what to do for this situation?

I am so glad that I have changed medical providers and will no longer have to go to PAMF! I went to my annual preventative checkup and my doctor ordered a preventative blood panel for me. Basic lipid, iron, thyroid stuff. I did the bloodwork and went on my way. Next month I get a $300 bill. I thought this was in error as I had checked with my insurance and been assured that the preventative check up was free. Turns out that my doctor ordered blood tests that were only preventative for age groups that I don't fall in, such as infants. I made many calls to billing and then to patient relations. I was told many times that "I agreed to the tests" or given other answers designed to blow me off. I received NO treatment worksheet and to this day have not been furnished with the list of tests in writing or my results. I only got a voicemail stating that the results were within normal range. For an infant?? Should I be worried?? Finally, after having to pay the full bill or else be sent to collections, I got a determination that my doctor should not have ordered some of the tests. They said I would receive a $208 refund. So then I get a check for $166. So I call Patient Relations again who says they can't figure it out and Billing made a mistake but they can't tell billing this, I have to call on my own. So I call on my own and billing says that my insurance adjusted their portion so now I owe more. I never received any information from this from PAMF or my insurance. I am incredibly frustrated and ended up paying $150 for things that should have been free. I honestly think that they billed for anything they though my insurance or I would pay for and that they are committing fraud. They thought I would just pay and not question it, but I am telling you all: Get a treatment plan before you get the treatment and call your insurance to validate it. Don't let PAMF scam you!

I love all of my caregivers at PAMF BUT their billing is so riddled with constant overcharges and errors it is embarrassing. Calling is no help since the people on the phone are trained to speak in circles and never answer your question or help you. They basically overcharge you, blame you, the patient for being sent by your doctor to a specific location, demand payment and ask you to appeal the bill to your insurance company. After being sent to the PAMF Mills facility, after checking to see if it was indeed, In-Network, calling Aetna to confirm it was In Network, the bill arrived as OUT OF NETWORK. 3 long phone calls later, after waiting more than 35 minutes on hold, they blame me for not confirming when I checked in at Mills. These billing overcharges have been going on with other patients for years. They should be investigated.

I have been going to this clinic for over 20 years. I asked my primary doctor for a referral to a urologist. Went to my appt and told the urologist all the problems I have been having. I took a urine sample and waited for the doctor to come in the room. I was told it was all in my head, I didnt have a problem and he couldnt help me. I had to pay $147 to hear that plus what medicare paid. Four days later I was in the ER with an UTI. I told the ER doctor what was said to me from the urologist. He didnt even send the urine sample to the lab. I Will never go to a urologist at that center again. Of course PAMF made me pay the bill. I finally went to lifeline screening and found out my gif is at 47. I have had 4 infections since that appt.

This review is for the employees at the 49 Wells, Drucker, 2nd floor Breast MRI office. After a traumatic experience trying to do an MRI in Sunnyvale, my doctor re-ordered a breast MRI image in Palo Alto and I'm so thankful! Right way, the gentleman (who is from Jamaica) at the front desk greets you pleasantly. He has an easy smile that helps when one is nervous about a procedure. But the excellent care from Zenat and Judy is well worth noting! They are kind and reassuring even though an MRI can be a very difficult thing to do. I am extremely claustrophobic and Judy and Zenat calmed my nerves through the whole thing. They explain all instructions clearly and even their voice through the procedure made me feel like I could get through the imaging. I am beyond grateful for caregivers like Zenat and Judy.

PAMF has really shady billing practices. They bill out of network ( a game they play to get paid more than they are owed). I spend 16-20 hours on phone calls with insurer and their billing department resolving it. They sent an apology letter and again now they sent the account to collections. Cannot trust this shady place - it's not a medical practice - it's a billing malpractice company.

This review is for our experience with the PAMF Pediatric Urgent Care. Being a first-time parent to a newborn can be nerve-wracking. Every change in p*** consistency or color raises concerned eyebrows. Each sniffle, sneeze, and cough seems like baby's contracted the plague. While we try to be sensible and not go to the doctor's for every little thing, sometimes we do worry and need that extra reassurance that everything is fine (or if not, get the appropriate treatment). Our PAMF pediatrician is amazing but that means she is always booked back to back and it's often very difficult to get a new appointment in the week-of. I love that there is not only the option to go to Urgent Care nearby, but one that specializes in Pediatric health. The facility and its doctors are also running a regular pediatric office, so be sure to call ahead as you are on your way to reserve an Urgent Care appointment. That way most of the "waiting" is already done as you make your drive to the clinic. We were always able to get an appointment scheduled within 1.5 hours of calling. There is a handful of parking immediately outside the office (first set of doors on the right of the roundabout), and we have always been able to park there, but I do believe there is a larger underground parking lot as well. Since our little man's been born a few months ago, we have visited this Pediatric Urgent Care 3 times so far. The front desk staff can be a little detached as the office can be super busy so they do make it seem like they're trying to get you in and out, but when we visited one night where it was less busy, they were very personable and friendly. The nurses and doctors here are amazing though - each time we have seen a new doctor, and nurse, and they are kind, patient, reassuring, and wonderful healthcare providers. Honestly, if we didn't love our own pediatrician so much already, I'd be happy to have any of these doctors be my son's pediatrician. Overall, between the amazing doctors and nurses, and the valuable fact that the Urgent Care is specifically a Pediatric one, this place gets my 5-star review and highest of recommendations. Thank you for being the extra safety net for these nervous first-time parents and giving us the support and reassurance needed to know that we're going to be able to keep this little kid alive.

I have been a long-time patient at Sutter/PAMF (5+ years) and have to say I am pretty unhappy with their "service" lately. Here are my reasons and a short story about my latest "adventure". 1. Has anyone EVERY successfully been able to telephone their doctor at Sutter? Not me, despite years of trying. Your options are (a) call their "customer support team" (useless) or (b) email through their website and hope for a reply or (3) make an appointment for a 20 minute visit and pay $400.00 for the pleasure. (And also hope you find an available time slot in the next few months.) I'm old fashioned. I like to be able to call my doctor when needed, not speak to a "representative" who is not a doctor and has very little power. 2. Sutter/PAMF is extremely bad at follow up on prescriptions, so if you are getting anything special (like a "controlled substance"), don't expect the pharmacy to be able to easily verify. That means no meds. 3. Don't bother with "Urgent Care" because they just don't "care". I had an experience tonight with the worse, most arrogant doctor imaginable and when I complained, they called a security guard on me. Let that sink in. 4. Generally, I get the impression that they care about one thing - MONEY. Sutter/PAMF is the model of a medical care factory, always pushing "preventative care" test and vaccines. For example, my doctor talked me into a TDAP vaccine (Tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) which laid me up in bed for 2 weeks. You know how many people get Tetanus in the US a year? 30 cases a YEAR in the entire US - and all those case were farm related. Pertussis? A childhood disease almost exclusively (I am 68). And Diphtheria? In a 10 year span, there were less than 50 cases in the US, all children. OK, my horror story... I have a genetic anomaly with my Circadian Clock, the 24 hour timer that makes you sleepy and wakes you up. My Circadian Clock is over 30+ hours and I have severe insomnia. The condition cannot be cured as its genetic. I need daily dose of sleep meds or I just don't sleep. Sleep meds are usually "controlled substances", so I can only get 90 days at a time. Every 90 days, I need a new prescription and every 90 days I go through hell. For the last 5 refills, 4 were refused by the pharmacy because they could not contact Sutter. Four times I ran out of meds, had no sleep and was sick for a month. I had to call Sutter, go in to Sutter, plead with the pharmacist. I call these times my "Begging Tour". Well, last fall my doctor went "on leave", why I have no idea. Comes Jan 1 and no refills. I call, I beg, I go to Sutter. I am now 4 days with no sleep and I feel like a truck hit me. Yesterday I called the "Care Team" (Helene) who sympathized with me (but can do nothing). They suggested that I go to Urgent Care today to get help. I did and wished I had not. The clerk up front was nice (but he's a clerk), then the RN came in for vitals and she was also nice and seemed alarmed. She took my Blood Pressure and it was up 25 points (I have hypertension) to 149 Systolic, which is serious (Hypertension Stage 2). The reason? No sleep for 4 days. The RN left, then a Physicians Assistant came to the door, asked what I needed, then left (saying nothing). Another 30 minutes later, in comes Dr. Chawla, who stood in the door and told me "we don't prescribe controlled substances in Urgent Care". "But Sutter Care TOLD me to come here??" Answer "Not my problem. See your regular doctor". "But my regular doctor is out until April!" Like talking to a brick wall. Dr. Chawla never left the doorway, never walked in, just stood there talking down to me. And the worse? I said "I haven't sleep in 4 days and my blood pressure is getting dangerously high. Look at my chart! What should I do?&

As an MD myself, I am usually loathe to write public reviews - but this is the worst quality " care " I have received in years, from the lack of necessary and appropriate relevant clinical history for a focused medical complaint to having multiple vials of blood drawn (which were not ordered and then never used ), to the physician spending less than ten minutes over a three hour block, and then handing a sheath of papers with medical advice not pertinent to the presenting issue to me instead of even discussing clinical recommendations. I would strongly recommend going elsewhere if you need and are looking for medical treatment in which you have the confidence your treating physician and his team actually spend the time and energy to evaluate your medical needs and be able to work them up and treat them appropriately. I tried multiple times to reach the office manager before having her get on the phone and " explain " to me that in urgent care, medical care is not " comprehensive " - to was also shocking, since a focused medical history and exam is the ABSOLUTE minimum for ANY type of healthcare, whether in the ER or urgent care or the primary ware doctors office. If I could vote down PAMF (or the Doctor - Leigh Durlacher), or negative stars, I would.

Money driven mentality, Sutter Health which owns Palo Alto Medical Foundation just settled the 2nd federal lawsuit for 530 million after stealing millions from Medicare. They will continue to lie on patient records and steal money from Medicare. Their contract should be cancelled, but we have a corrupt system in California allowing these billionaires to steal money from Medicare. Yes they collect billions of dollars each year from Medicare so they dont care about a fine of even 500 million. Just remember this is the second time they were brought up on charges. When I confronted them about theft on my Medicare account, their response was to cancel all of my appointments with a heart doctor, a surgeon, and other doctors. I will be watching for the day they go out of business.
