By FAR, the absolute WORST car dealer and service department i have EVER dealt with. Service is completely unresponsive. Service and Sales does not communicate with each other. Customer rep also feels like they don't want to work there and are just there for a check. which i understand, but at least have some empathy in your response. I also purchased the polestar 2 and the car is ok and works but i have already had to bring into the dealership twice within 2 months for key issues or something else. I would overall personally stay away from Volvo and Polestar as the car still needs some working on before they perfect this and the service definitely needs work on. I sent text messages on Friday noon and called in, but no response at all. i get sent to an automated voice message that says they will get back to me and escalate the situation, its been 2 days since. Absolutely terrible service and if i could give this a negative star, i would do so.

Great location!! Everyone hear is very welcoming and helpful to me. Buying a new car was very difficult for me at first but with the hospitality and help from Mr.Tinh deserves 5stars! I will recommend this store to friends and family.

Had a tire burst on 87S- on a Sunday of course, when nothing is open. Got it taken to Volvo Palo Alto cuz they're the ones who service Polestars! A couple days later I had all new tires, they fixed a key that had stopped responding, did a rotation, washed it, the works! Kris was super awesome at keeping me in the loop about the work so picking it up couldn't have been smoother. Definitely recommend!

Came in for my 2 yr service on my Polestar. It was handled quickly and professionally and they were ready when I arrived at my scheduled service time and were expecting me. I’ve not experienced this at other service departments with my other cars.
My service person Kris was helpful and I had no surprises. I’d recommend them based on this experience without hesitation.

Knowledgeable service staff. Welcoming, professional, and efficient.
I bought my XC70 from Palo Alto Volvo and I have appreciated being able to have my car serviced here.
Marc Laza communicated effectively and was able to answer all questions or would get back to me when he found out the answer to my service question.
Marc also got me home and back again with Lyft rides which was very convenient.
I highly recommend service at Palo Alto Volvo.

Volvo Cars Palo Alto sets the PREMIER Standard for Volvo Dealerships.
Bottom Line; These guys are in the business to make YOU happy, and won't pull any shenanigans when you're looking at a Certified Pre Owned or Used Volvo. The price you see is the price it's offered for - 100% transparent and upfront pricing. When you get to the Sales Contract, and look at the line items, there won't be any HIDDEN SURPRISES (i.e Lifetime Tracking Devices that you never asked for being installed on the car for $995)...
Re-read my last sentence as it's very important... Seriously...
Mom and I found Volvo Palo Alto because of a very unexpected unprofessional sales experience we encountered at another Bay Area Volvo dealership. I will leave that dealerships name out of this review, but click on my name and look at my previous review for that bottom feeder experience. It transported me right back to the 80's when salesmen wore polyester suites, gradient tint sunglasses, and added undercoating packages and rust proofing that you didn't need nor ask for!
Back to Volvo Palo Alto. The car was presented to us for the test drive cleaned and detailed - it sparkled and appeared brand new despite being 3 years old! The safety features were explained, they set the drivers seat up for mom, and we were handed the keys and told to take a 45 minute test drive. The car AND dealership staff (Misa & Tinh) presented themselves with grace and so much more professionalism than the Bay Area Volvo "Competitor" we just came from. The sales experience was so welcoming and natural that we WANTED to do business with these guys. They earned our trust by the way they took care of us the moment we walked into the dealership.
1 hour later, we were in Misa's sales office, signing the contract, and there were NO SURPRISES or LAST MINUTE SHENANIGANS! The price breakdown that was on the XC40's Passenger Window was the price that was offered in the sales office. Mom cut a check on the spot for the entire amount...
By this time it was 4PM, and the Bay Area Commute had begun. Mom was afraid to drive the car home as she'd been in her her Mercedes for 16 years. I spoke with Misa and Tinh about how I feared that mom would get in an accident and they immediately put my fears to rest.
It was arraigned that that evening the car would go in for inside/outside detailing (it didn't even need it but they're obviously a class act), that the gas tank would be filled, and the next day they had their staff deliver the car to Mom's house! When they arrived with the car, they set it up for Mom and paired her cell phone to the infotainment system. Now that my friends is what you'd expect from a premium marque = Volvo!
When the guys were setting up Mom with her new car, all of our neighbors were coming over to see what she replaced her 16 year old (Meticulously Kept) MB e350 with. The car sold itself and many neighbors commented on how that XC40T5 had such "cool character". Mom began spreading the story about our bad experience in Marin and our stellar experience in Palo Alto. Her neighbors took note...
Since the car has been delivered, Misa has followed through with a few more over and above board requests we've had of him. When the car was detailed someone forgot to place in the cargo section the rubber mats, so a new set was sent out via courier. Also, Mom requested a paper copy of the owners/operators manual - and Misa sent it out for printing and has it put into a 3 ring binder. Seriously, these guys are great, I can't say enough about them.
In closing this epic review - I want to say that the Misa & Tinh at Volvo Palo Alto represent what in my mind Volvo represents = Quality, Excellent Customer Satisfaction, and Fair & Transparent pricing on a world class, premium vehicle.

Kris from Volvo Palo Alto was great to work with in getting my Polestar 2 serviced. She quickly checked me in and by the time we finished the Lyft to take me to work/home was already there. After about 4 hours the car was ready and Kris texted me to arrange the lyft back to the dealer. Car came back fixed, clean, and without issue. Kudos Volvo for the great service.
