At the ER again. We've been here for 4 hours and the only time someone came to see how I was, was when they were taking blood or running tests. Other than that, they don't even look your way when walking by. No bedside manner at all. No one has come to check on us and see if we need anything. It's kind of sad since we are all veterans here, you'd think they'd have more compassion for their brothers and sisters. Oh and our doctor was catching up on his continuing education while we wait.

I left the ER in a far worse medical condition, doctors were rude. one employee working there said condescending things to me as I was leaving. I would give zero stars if it were an option. I'll be sticking to community based care moving forward, learned that from the experience.

It seems odd to post a review of a facility providing hospice care, but at the same time - what could be more important than caring for the dying? I had to confront my image of VA hospitals based on what I have seen in TV and movies. Our experience was anything but that. The care of the hospice team was just humbling. My dad was checked-in with a cancer diagnosis that was clearly going to end his life. That is a scary proposition for patients and family. His end of life care was the most dignified and comfortable outcome we could have wished for. There are no words for the gratitude I have for the VA Hospice Team. As one doctor said, "There are lots of ways our government has not taken great care of our service men and women, but THIS they got right." Amen. Amen.

This is the best healthcare facility in the Bay Area. Yes, it even beats Stanford's clinical approach to healthcare -- not conducive to healing. Despite not having the latest medical tech, they have the most caring staff which is everything to the patients. So happy that our vets have the best facility and clinicians in the Bay.

5/31/23 my husband is here today for his Dermatology Appointment. As a retired marine, he has the option to be seen here or elsewhere but this hospital is his first choice. It's also close to our home address. Service Providers are willing to listen and help. His Primary Care Doctor is genuinely interested in my husbands health care and well being. Thanks for reading my 5 Star review

Dr. Molly A. Timmerman DO in Physical Medicine Lacks Anatomy and Physiology knowledge;. Very defensive when given suggestions. Temperamental, she has trouble focusing. Forgetful doesn't follow up? Delays creating consult referrals. Rushes through visit rather than studying patients history often makes mistakes giving injections usings stats as excuse.

Dermatology is not the best. Resident doctors on board need more training. Their diagnosis is not accurate. A waste of time.

If you are interested in being practice patients before Stanford students move into private practice, this is the place to be. Can't sue for malpractice, Gross negligence charges have to be stratospheric and camera ready before a timid administration does anything. In the early aughts, this campus killed an elderly vet that was on blood thinners. They wrapped him up in layers and rollehd im outside in direct sunlight. He was out there for hours. When it was realized what happened, he was sent directly to the ER.*. Will finish later

If I can give a -5, I would. It has been 2 years since my son became one of the 22, under your care. By what I kept seeing, not a lot has changed. The same uncaring attitude and neglect for our veterans. It is shameful to see , how our veterans are treated. From a mother that wakes up every morning asking herself Why and try to make it through the pain of the loss, please, I beg you, help them adjust to civilian life, hire professionals, that know and understand, what they actually seen and experienced in the war, and are able to help. One life lost, is one to many.

This is in reference to the Starbucks that is in the Va medical of the main building. I spent six weeks plus staying in the defenders lodge. My husband was receiving chemotherapy and radiation during this time. There was one employee that repeatedly was rude and disrespectful to me resulting in one time making me crying. No one should ever be treated this way by a employee; I even reported his actions to his supervisor resulting in nothing being done to the employee; he was always there. Each time being more difficult. Starbucks doesn't even conduct business this way. The drinks were bad and pretty much not correct. Bad/rude customer service and incorrect drinks are not Starbucks standards.

In general on most days, services provided are usually 4 stars. I have been coming here for 20+ years. I usually rate them as the best location and best facility in the area, but during pandemic, I don't feel the same here anymore. Every now and then, things happen and things change. Let's review some of the worst within the past years to recent times:Not everyday, but once in awhile, you'll run into these scenarios: Nurse gave TB shot, even though you've had allergic reactions in previous TB shot experiences.Staff injects contrast media into your arms prior to CT scan, but when you break out in allergic reactions with hives/red itchy bumps, it's not their fault. Do CT scans at your own risk.Thyroid problems? When they stick a fine thin needle into your neck to see if there's cancer or thyroid cancer, they may miss and have you come back in for future needle sessions. Not numbing enough, Ouch.Doctor assumes patients don't know or understand medical terminologies.Staff at blood draw lab missed 4-5 times, poking needles into your arms to draw blood.Doctor changes your medication dosage based on numbers and not medical history evaluations.Doctor is not licensed/certified to...but they still assign you to that doctor for same medical practices/procedures. Primary Care Physicians who act as Gynecologists in Women's Health Clinic.Their computer systems: Doctors in each department seems to have limited access to patient medical history or cannot see everything. Errors are known to be found. What optometrist sees may not be what endocrinologists see or what primary care physician sees when evaluating patients. ER solution: they give you Tylenol, Advil or Benadryl for severe rash conditions and sends you home after half the day. Not much they can do if you have a severe rash.Again, it's my favorite VA medical facility. Most days are usually a 4. They have everything here. Great location. Good decent foods. Each person will have his/her own personal opinions. Come here for over 20+ years and you will see everything good and bad too. ER wait time can kill a person's spirit when waiting for too long at the chairs.

What a joke. Took my dad there to get catheter fixed. The nurse Tess was nice. However, the CNA who wheeled my dad out to the loop told him to*Hold onto the top of my open car door as he got up from the wheel chair (didn't bother asking, "Is it ok if this big 6'5" big guy holds onto your vulnerable open door as he gets up.) I shut down his idea quickly regardless. *He puts my dad in. Then he shuffles my dad's catheter bag next to my dad's feet. It was LEAKING PEE!!! He walks away! I was tired at this point after waiting at ER and having driven at midnite from the East Bay 50 minutes away. I let it go and just cleaned my car floor after dropping off my dad after another 50 minute drive home. I found out who Enero's boss was and when I emailed Tiffany Chan TWICE about the lack of care, she NEVER returned the emails! More stupidity: Dr. Korean guessed that my dad had an infection. She said it was a maybe. Gave him antibiotics ("just in case")Two weeks later, we returned and Dr. David (I call him "Cowboy") was pretty loud, obnoxious and limited in his knowledge. He kept pushing his one way, and was not flexible enough to see more than one way. Not humble/got triggered when I said I had a friend who is a trauma nurse at ER who's had success with 2 types of medicines for her Dad and Grandpa. When I said "Can we use medicine AND the catheter," he said we could get the medicine from his primary doctor. He's sticking with catheter only. Hey Dr. Cowboy David, aren't YOU a doctor?!" Two more weeks later, my dad had an infection. Took this Veteran to John Muir. They drained his bladder, treated him for infection. Very thorough. Professional GO ELSEWHERE. The is vague with their benefits (on purpose?) You get better care anyway.

Came here with my uncle who is a veteran, extremely friendly workers from what I can tell and everyone seemed to show the level of respect you would expect from such a place.

6/9/22: WTF! called on June 1, 2022 {855}632-8262 complaint about ear pain. Scheduler tells me she will schedule me a appointment with AUDIOLOGY again to confirm with her that I'm seen by the correct provider I tell her for pain in my ear, basically an ear ache. She checks schedule and tells me the closest date availability is JUNE 9 @ Menlo Park. I agree to take the appointment because I need to see a Doctor. On June 3 I'm in extreme pain from my ear and go to the ER room. The ER Doctor examines my ear and states I have an infection in the ear and she treats it with antibiotics and drops in the ear and return on June 5 for follow up June 5 I return to ER for follow and the Doctor states to continue antibiotics and drops {relieved because I have an appointment on June 9}. June 9 arrive in MENLO PARK for my Ear ache to be seen in AUDIOLOGY. Doctor informs me Audiology is for HEARING TEST and looks at my ear and stated I should of had appointment with E.N.T She gives me a hearing test and states that the infection is contributing to loss of hearing but you need to go to ENT and WILL PLACE A REFERRAL TO BE SEEN { AN APPOINTMENT} So as be pro active I call the # to schedule an appointment with ENT and explain to the schedule person what mistake was made and I need to see ENT. She states she can schedule an appointment unless I have a referral. I said I just saw a person this a.m and she was going to referral me to ENT, I still was unable to schedule an appointment so she has me speak to advice nurse. Again I explained the situation all over and she says she doesn't see a referral so she messages the Doctor who told her I was seen this a.m. and she was going to put a referral to be seen by ENT AFTER reading the message she states " I can't make an appointment for ENT because there's no referral in the system" Didn't you just get a message the Doctor stating she will put in a referral? Again you just read a message stating she will put in a referral to be seen by ENT Basically she as a nurse was UNABLE to think outside of the box and schedule an appointment stating just following procedure. Okay so a veteran has an infection and it was told to you via message I have an infection and you want to wait until the Doctor puts in a consult in the intern I get worse while waiting. ONCE AGAIN OUTSTANDING SERVICE BY VA REPRESENTATIVE JUST AS THE SERVICE I RECEIVED ON May 30 F*** YOU VETERANS HOSPITAL PAHCS!!!!!!!!
