I was trying to return two gifted items to amazon. I had two different looking gift receipts - one with QR code and another with just barcodes(although it was given together by one person). The amazon drop off center at Whole Foods told me the barcode looked like UPS code and suggested I try there. I come, unsure what I am supposed to do and asked the clerk for help. He was very defensive and rude as to informing what I am supposed to do. Noticing there was someone behind me, I still thanked him, stepped away to the back and did as he instructed- it worked. The second item with the barcode however didn’t work so I got back in line to ask for help, but he got impatient and very exasperated with me. He kept repeating I had to start the return process. I was trying to ask how could I do that- but he wouldn’t listen and kept raising his voice and repeatedly interrupted my question by saying I needed to start the process.As he was not listening but kept going on and on and there was nothing he can do, i asked him to just stop. He then told me condescendingly that I had to contact the person who bought it to start the return process. Upon hearing that part, I calmly told him I am just asking for help and indicated he could have said it nicely instead of being so rude.This was all within minutes- I would have understood right away if he had pointed it out and clarified the differences between the two gift receipts from the start. I just walked out with the remaining item.
