native plant section - Judy 5 stars
I believe I know all the outlets for native plant sources in the SF Bay Area. This one is always a rotation of fresh surprises and for myself. over time, a learning and experimentation experience. Along with Google as a source, Judy always has good insight and instincts WRT the parameters for native gardener interest - a plants: deer resistance, drought tolerance, lighting requirements, soil types etc. Prices here are also very competitive which one would not expect given the "Palo Alto" address.

Great variety and excellent customer services. Their prices are slightly higher, but the plants I buy here have a MUCH higher success rate compared to other nurseries in the area. If you become a member you can even return plants that have died for a refund.
As a novice gardener, I love that the staff are really helpful — they’ll give me tips for certain plants or even help me choose plants that will thrive in my patio.

Lots of fruit trees, cheap prices. Very beautiful flowers. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. You can return plants up to a year and get discounts if you are a repeat customer.

This place has a okay variety. However the staff that work in the nursery are very unhelpful and rude. I am not sure if they are knowledgeable Abt the plants. I went in looking to buy a fruiting Olive tree. The person that 'helped' me was very condescending when I asked him questions and showed me plants which clearly marked as non fruiting.
When I asked him politely that the information on the pot says as 'non fruiting' he said I need to educate myself before I can buy the plant.
This is the first time I walked away from a plant nursery feeling stressed and sad. Even HD has way better customer service.

Nice garden shop, you can tell they care. Many employees around asking if help is needed, also found some handy yard sticks placed throughout to the potting area to help make sure you're getting the right fit!

Such a beautiful nursery with one major drawback. They have a rotten apple on their hands. The problem's name is Christina and we won't be going back because of her. Our family found her to be rude and impatient. I mean, we're sorry we're new to the gardening game. We just needed a little help and yes we had questions. She seemed dismissive and annoyed. She left us no choice...we had to go to another nursery. We won't be back. Such a a shame because it seems like perfect place for local plant needs.
