This is specifically for the staff at the Nuclear Medicine department especially Diana Pearson, my husband's attending nurse. They made my husband's 4 part appointment seamless. It's such a fun group that it felt like hanging out with family. They addressed all our concerns and made us feel comfortable with the procedure. Too bad Diana is retiring soon so hope you still get to experience the quality of care they provide.

Awful experience here. We've been a few times and have experienced being rushed through a visit, having to wait an hour longer than our appointment and deceptive billing practices. It's probably the worst hospital I've ever dealt with in over 40 years. After 3 lousy visits, we will be going elsewhere.

I went for my annual routine visit at Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Sunnyvale on October 9, 2023 and gone for lab test at Los Gatos location on October 10, 2023. During the visit, we discussed about the health, labs and billing part during the visit with the doctor office. They convinced me that there will not be any surprising bills for this visit and labs and since this is a annual routine visit, all the routine tests will be 100% covered by the insurence and I will not be getting any surprise bills. After a month of the visit and lab, I started getting surprising bills. I called the billing department immediately after I started getting the bill and they said it is under review and not yet finalized. I waited for few days and now they send me the bill to pay. Currently I have a bill of $753 for that visit and lab tests. I was trying to avoid this sutuation and discussed with doctor during the visit itself but irrespective of this I am getting the surprising bills now. This is no more than cheating the patients and I hate this. I wanted to give minus 5 stars for this but I had to give one star for no option.

It takes a lot for me to write a negative review but PAMF/Sutter Health exemplifies everything wrong with health care in this country. The doctors are good but overworked and bound by strict corporate rules designed to make as much money as possible. Patients are only given 15 minutes and one topic per visit with their primary care physician. I'm not even sure how that's possible. The billing department is like dealing with a gov't agency and they constantly make mistakes (e.g. miscode claims, send duplicate claims, bill the wrong insurance). My last annual should have been paid in full by my insurance and I'm STILL trying to unravel all the charges. (I can see by the other comments that this is typical so I wonder if it's also intentional.) If you have a choice, go private because they are not worth the constant headache.

Don't show up here without a suit and tie because apparently if you don't they will literally tell you to your face "You don't look like you can afford this prescription".It's not like we are there with relatives fighting cancer or anything. Super dissapointed with the staff. Avoid if possible.

Health care providers are good, but the administration policies need improvement. Wait times are getting longer and longer, and check in is not secure (I'm required to recite my name and birthdate in earshot of everyone waiting. Sometimes I have to provide my mailing address too! This should not be done verbally where unscrupulous people can steal it.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. As the pandemic was beginning I went to PAMF urgent care about 45 minutes before closing. I was experiencing excruciating abdominal pain and the doctor on duty decided I had the flu and sent me home. I knew it wasn't the flu and ended up back at PAMF Urgent Care the next day. Turns out I had an infection in my intestines. Maybe he just wanted to go home on time? Fast forward to present day and a new issue has come up. The doctor told me after a 3 minute visit that what I thought was going on couldn't be, but at my insistence ordered the CT Scan. Guess what, I was right in my diagnosis. Too bad no one can see me and help with my pain for a few days because the weekend is here and the doctor doesn't work Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Does Sutter get paid more for their doctors seeing more patients and to get us in and out as quickly as possible? I know they won't respond to this review, and I have no choice but to use them because that is where my health insurance directs me, but maybe someone who has a choice will see this and find a better healthcare source.

Z LIN. DO PM&R QUACK! Not an MD! Don't go to this doctor! He pretends to want to help you and then does what he wants! He changed my procedure last minute after IV was in and under duress and pain, did an incorrect procedure, bashing my previous MD doctor for not doing correct procedure which I got relief from. DO Z.LIN, is arrogant, and deserves to be FIRED from PAMF!! Save yourself time and frustration! Go to an MD! Not a DO, in this case! I'm in more pain than when I went in originally. He has no compassion! He acts as if he will do whatever you want or is needed! But does what he wants not what was proven to have worked! I would sue him but I can't waste my energy on this QUACK!! He copped an attitude and refused to acknowledge his mistake! Instead told me to go back to my previous doctor instead of try to make things right! He has no compassion nor empathy! PAMF NEEDS TO FIRE HIM!

As bad as it gets. Was taken here as a child, so I had no say in what was done, and my folks were socially anxious, "authority" respecting people who would ever have stood up to a doctor. Experiences I had here included inappropriate comments, cruel, inappropriate behavior, including being forced to leave an exam room without being allowed to dress and made to walk past a window that looked on a waiting room and reception area while partially dressed, and a doctor telling me I must be lying about my symptoms because I felt dirty and wanted them to punish me, while patting my inner thigh. Inappropriate and unnecessary examinations. High pressure to have needless tests. Also, a misdiagnosis that could have been life threatening. Truly the worst medical facility I have ever seen, and has caused me to have a life long medical phobia.

They are listed as a medical provider on the Medicare Website; however, when I called to make an urgent care appointment they said that they do NOT accept Medicare. They are awful using the Medicare website as an advertising campaign, yet they only except premiun insurance coverage and will not accept Medicare. Awful

Very bad service and always wrong with the billing. I just received a bill of $508 for my annual physical exam last year on August 26, 2022. This is incorrect as it had been fully covered by the Blueshield insurance. My wife had a medical exam last year and she got the same problem. It took us a lot of hassles to fight with them and they still failed to get the bill right at the end. We used to be with Kaiser for over 10 years and never met with this kind of issue. This is ridiculous and certainly unacceptable. We are very disappointed about their service to the new patients and seriously considering finding another health provider for our family next year. I would've given a zero star if possible.

I have had good experiences with the doctors at PAMF, but as of late, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get through on the phone. Hold times of greater than 30 mins is not uncommon and you have to call multiple times to get staff to return calls. It is frustrating how much time goes into just trying to get things line setting up or resheduling appointments done. It is not clear why it is not possible to do ALL appt scheduling and rescheduling online.

I had my scripts with NOW RX and then they were bought out by Alto Pharmacy. I moved to VA and needed a printout of scripts for tax purposes and they kept telling me they didn't have that information. Can't reach NOW RX! There has to be an option to get a list and no one helped me. If there is a way, please let me know, it's very important!

The worst medical care in the entire Bay Area. They never offer proper guidance based on issues that actually happen to patients instead lying to patients condescendingly about the severity of their illness. They also hyposthagize spewing melodrama over how much the patient feels thing s are not at all better and remained the same if the patient tried diet, exercise, etc. and felt only slightly better. At other times they omit the praise for the patient and get abusive with them about things not under the patient's control to improve. Completely inappropriate hospital.
