We had two great experiences with Peninsula Piano Brokers! We rented a piano for a year and the delivery, rental, and return were all easy. We bought a beautiful used piano from them a year later. Everything about the purchase was great and I am loving my piano! They were even kind enough to hold the piano in the shop for us for 3+ weeks while we had a custom cover made to protect the piano.

Our daughter wanted to play the piano. Her teacher suggested renting from this shop. We ended up with a great piano that they had for over 3 years. The service was great and the movers (outside company they are using) were also really nice and considerate.

By far THE best piano rental and digital piano store in the Bay Area! Greg is very knowledgeable on pianos of all kinds and is himself a pianist. He's honest and will do everything to make his clients happy. He has some new German grand pianos I'd never heard of that are awesome.

We brought a brand new ukelele ,only to realize that it was chipped on the outside. The store owner did take it back, we felt that this chipping would have been known to an owner and we're disappointed that it wasn't told to us upfront. The owner took the ukelele back but was unable to refund the credit card and paid us back the money in cash.

My worst experience with piano brokers!! The service here is very rude. I walked in and talked about the price and financing the piano with Cathie, a Chinese woman. The way she acted was like I was doing something wicked, "we Chinese don't need any financial plan, we pay at one time". How is financing a piano related to citizenship? 不一次性付清不是中国人? What's more, I started to doubt her honesty when she slandered on other piano dealers and proposed a theory that basically means other piano dealers have "Grade B" piano so that they can sell with a lower price. Even worse, the owner of the store yelled at me and acted like I'm just a pain in his ass. Excuse me? I was trying to give you my money and why do I have to endure all this? I will NEVER, EVER go to this store again!

Could not ask for better service or instrument quality! I live in New Mexico and Ive bought multiple SE Shires instruments as well as parts from Peninsula Music over the last 6 months, and I've been thrilled with the professionalism, curtesy, quality, and speed of processing. I appreciate everything Eric and his staff have done for me and I will happily continue to do business with him in the future! Thanks again!! Luke

Steve Boughman went out of his way to degrade and mistreat me. The man was incredibly rude and condescending when he tried to sell me a saxophone in poor condition. Worst experience I have ever had in a music store. Disappointed and ashamed as a local musician that these are the types of repair people we have to deal with. Take your business ANYWHERE else.

Greg is the best. He is very honest, integral and works with you to find you the piano to suit your needs plus at a very reasonable price. The folks at this place are extremely nice. I highly recommend this place for anybody who is looking to buy pianos. Thank you, Greg and team.

Greg was very patient with me in showing me the different inventory he had. His store has a wide variety of pianos in a large price range, so it'd be hard not to find something that'd suit your needs. He sold me my piano at a very reasonable price and also helped me find movers to move the piano.

This year, I had the most wonderful experience with Greg and Peninsula Piano Brokers. I am a choir teacher in the area and had just received a grant for a new piano. We had limited funds and Greg included everything he could at the highest possible quality for the price we could afford. Not only did we get a new and beautiful piano for our classroom in great condition, we got an artist's bench, dolly, piano tuning, and piano wax all included in the already low price. Above all, Greg was a delight to work with and his efforts have made all of the difference in the musical success of our choir program. I will be going to Peninsula Piano Brokers for all of my piano needs! They value their customers, music education, and the art of music and the joy it brings.

I was sent here by my daughter's piano teacher when we needed to rent a piano. Turns out our small keyboard was not sufficient - I was holding off because I was concerned it would be expensive, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. Their rental fees were very reasonable (plus they include free tuning!) and when the time came to buy a piano we were allowed to credit ALL of our rental payments toward purchase. That was a very nice deal, considering other piano stores told me they only credited half, at most, and only for a limited amount of time. So after renting for about a year, we started looking into buying. I went back to PPB the other day and Kathie (very nice lady) showed us pianos that were much lower price than we expected - apparently a lot of the fly-by-night piano making companies got wiped out by the recession. Kathie seems to know a lot about the entire industry, and she is very direct and generous - she is willing to share her considerable knowledge. In fact, it was Kathie who referred us to my daughter's current piano teacher, which has been a major help. Kathie has been a really great resource for us and we are grateful. Without her we would have stayed with the piano teacher who made our daughter hate lessons, and by now she would have quit for sure - so all of the success that has come since we changed teachers has been because of her. Anyway, Kathie is great and we can't wait to get our new piano!!

Very disappointed in these folks. A number of years ago I bought a $2000 Kawai keyboard from them. When I wanted to upgrade recently they had no interest in taking it in trade - so I eventually traded it in at Guitar Center. Today I wanted to purchase a Kawai digital piano. They refused to negotiate a competitive price. That's their prerogative, and perhaps this business model works for them. But it doesn't work for me in today's world, and their standoff-ish attitude doesn't help. If I ever go back to PPB, it will only be to look. They've made it clear they don't care about selling me a product at a competitive price. Twice, recently, I've tried to make a purchase; twice, the only interest they've shown is "my way or the highway"..
