I so wish they sold on a website. This is a great shop, I purchased a tunic - polysilk - and the next day I went back for another color. Nice quality especially on the embroidery. I will go back next time I visit Palo Alto!

I went in today with my cousin and felt extremely unsafe. The male employee that was working behind the counter stared at the two of us the entire time we were there. Originally I thought he was staring because he wanted to close the store or thought we would steal. We walked around the store a bit and he moved to make it seem like he was about to go lock the door with us inside until another group walked in, which is when he retreated back behind the counter. He then seemed to text someone, and a very loud man came in seconds later asking random prices about an item he picked up within a second. They seemed to be sending signals to each other. My cousin told me we should leave so we did, and she explained what I said above to me. I immediately realized that what I originally thought was him being concerned about stealing could have been something much worse. I don't know if there was any actual bad intent, but female shoppers be aware

I just realized that I bought a few things in this store before a recent trip. They were perfect for my trip, well priced and well made. The people in the store were charming and helpful. I just ran into two of the women while waiting for a train back to San Francisco.

I absolutely love the tunics they have and now have multiple ones added to my wardrobe. The colors are vibrant, patterns exquisite and quality is excellent. I ordered 4 at one time and they arrived within 2 days! The fabric is 100% cotton, just perfect for the hot and hazy summer days. Every time I wear one of the tunics I always get a compliment or two. The look amazing with jeans, leggings and shorts. You can wear them for dressy or casual occasions. Thanks DOLMA for a wonderful product! I would recommend to anyone!

Loved the selection of jewelry, clothing, handbags, and incense. Immediately felt calm walking in. I got a great snake ring for ~$20 and it was so worth it. I'm wearing it constantly. I'll definitely come back to check out more of their incense collection.

We shop at the Castro Street shop pretty regularly. It is such a haven in the hustle, bustle of the neighborhood. So many beautiful things to gift or adorn yourself and your home. The staff is genuinely helpful and know their products well. I have found my purchases to be high-qulaity and great values. The sale racks are always worth looking at too. My little dog also loves this shop, attracted by the soothing mantra music, and kindness of the people there. No treatos necessary.

Could not resist a rack of $18 tunics outside, went in to pay and woah I've been to the one in Menlo, its so awesome for buying gifts, but this time I ended buying myself two sale tunics and sone birthday earrings! Cannot remember the last time i was in an actual shop, and this one is so extraordinary...it was so surreal! I was the only one there except the shop keeper so it fell very peaceful and I could barely pry myself away. So many amazing things, I will go back when I have more time.

Dolma Palo Alto --Days before Covid-19 hit, we went here burning with a mission: I had a $100 gift certificate which I'd been hanging onto forever and was desperate to spend it, kinda so it would be off my conscience. I wandered around and around in circles (the shop is big enough that you can get in a good mile long workout :-), I rifled through racks and racks, aisles and more, shelves and more of all clothing, accessories, jewelry--it's like Aladdin's cave. I kid you not. After Covid-19 quarantine and 'shelter in place' is over, and when you can venture forth into the world, you have something to look forward to. This is a jewel-like little place, full of treasures you didn't know you needed or wanted, incredibly colorful handmade things from Tibet, India and other places in South Asia, and South East Asia. Wow wow wow. Gorgeous and beautiful baubles. They also have home furnishings, such poufs, cushions, armoires, television cabinets, and the like. Gorgeous mangowood, vintage and contemporary. This entire place is a cause celebre and makes a case for "More is More." All Marie Kondo lovers of minimalism will hate this place. So after spending an hour here, because I did not want to spend more than my gist certificate would allow--I bought a 100% cashmere poncho in black, feeling that '70's vibe, I'll wear it over and over with everything, it's one of those pieces. I also got a shocking pink, neon little cotton shrug, almost too unbearably bright to look, so bright it almost hurts the human eye. Perversely I wanted it and lusted after it desperately. My final thing was a little tunic, olive green and striped mustard with embellished gold and rhinestone beading everywhere, sparkling little gems and jewels throughout, sewn into the fabric. Glittering and gleaming, literally dripping with bling bling and more. For those of you who have white walls and wear beige, khaki and cream and black, worry not--there is stuff for you here. Not my style, but they have this what I call boring, but what you might call soothing color palette as well. The service here I got from a woman who was infinitely patient, indulging my wish to try on many different earrings--and buying none. This Dolma handicrafts store is much bigger than the one in Menlo Park, a huge stock and more varied of everything. If you want to find something in this genre and go there and come up empty, try here.
