They failed to cancel a prescription for my pain medication after my doctor asked to have it transferred to a CVS in another city. Because of this the other pharmacy could not give me my medication. I had to personally call the pharmacy to cancel it, which had to wait until the next day because it had closed by the time I found out what happened. The prescription should have been done cancelled the second the prescription was transferred, and I never should have had to call them for something so basic. I had to go without my medication for over 24 hours with unmanaged pain because of this pharmacy’s gross incompetence.

I’ve been there 3 times. The experience has been consistently bad.
When I asked to get some coughing medicine from the cabinet, the lady was so impatient and she commanded me to stand at a certain spot as if it’s common sense and only idiots don’t know where one should stand.
The same lady helped me checked out my purchase, 2 out 3 times I was there, she kept complaining about her work and how she almost thought it was time to get out of work but it was not.
There’s a valid reason the review for this store is so low. Something should be changed.

More than half the stuff you need are all locked up requiring employee to unlock. On top of that, they seem to only employ one employee per shift to handle that and the checkout process. This was around 11 am, so not super early or late.
You have to wait in line just to ask them to unlock, then wait again to checkout your stuff - meaning it will take you 30-40 mins to buy contact lens solution.

Online order for pick up. No communication for 4 days after the estimated pick up time. Then email comes - it's ready. Went to the store and was told to wait in a 15-person line with one open register to pick up my order! I said - it's an online order for PICK UP - that's why I ordered online, not to wait! They said no people, that's it! Didn't pick up because I was in a rush. Terrible experience from start to finish (which is still not finished!)

I am responding from the perspective of receiving consistent professional service at my home CVS in Monrovia, CA. This CVS has the worst location! Entitled parents park and double park in front of the store to pick up their entitled kids from Palo Alto HS which creates a lot of dangerous situations and prevents customers from parking. It serves more as a candy and soda shop for these kids. Rename the store: it serves more as a place to supply students with sugar rather than bandages. My home CVS is located 2 blocks from the local high school but there are no issues like the ones that existed at this CVS. Why can't this university adjacent CVS hire parking enforcement and security to keep the flow of traffic going? If I had known there was a Walgreens further down on El Camino, I would've gone there. No greeting, no-one asked if I needed help (and I kept searching aisles first for the location of 1st Aid and then specific bandages). Horrible customer service.CVS workers catering to these kids.

I’d recommend you go to another pharmacy. Pharmacy opens at 11. At 11 am, the gates are down n lights off. People come in and doing all the set up after 11. Long line, unfriendly staff.

Needed something locked in the case and all I was told was the only person who could help was on break and was not given an estimate when they were coming back. After 30 minutes just decided to check out what I was holding. The person running the lines was unhelpful and wouldn’t even page whoever was supposed to unlock the glass cases overhead and would just send me to wander around and find them. Waited in line 3 separate times. Unhelpful and understaffed.

The pharmacist I spoke to started out impatient and rude and it only got worse as we went along. Eventually she hung up on me. Your willingness to listen to, be patient with and problem solve with customers is a key part of the job.

Pharmacy shut in the middle of the day, no mention of closing for lunch in their posted hours; “maybe they’ll reopen at 1” says the employee at the checkout

Really rude people, products are marked up, and store was dirty. It is, however, the incredibly rudeness of the checkout people that will make you not want to return. Hello, Management - can you socialize these people?
