Haas had a romantic and warm soul. Perfect spray for the funeral I am hosting. I feel very happy for my loved one, as a immigrant, he got such a beautiful flower spray from a 70+ old man. When I first come to the store, it is a bit dark, and does not not look as morden and beautiful as other florist store. After double check, I found that Haas store flowers inside fridges here and there. And the flower is amazing, I love the color tone, it is perfectly matched, white, but not all white, very elegant, shows his taste. Also, I did not image that he would use as much as 92 flowers for the spray, much more than he committed. During this sad time, I really feel the sincere caring from a professional florist. He may look casual, but is really an expert from 40+ years practice. Also, he stayed up late to deliver it on time. I find I trusted this right person. If you are new to spray and wreath, like I was, you can check with florist about the numbers of flowers, the dimension of the work, and the condition of raw flowers in the store to see if the color and freshness is as your expected. hope that works. I compared several store, Haas had the best offer, and he deliver more than he offered. I hope he can make more pictures for the flowers he had made, so that it helps customers understand his capabilities, rather than miss this hidden gem by the store decoration.

This owner one of the kindest individuals I have met in recent memory. I found myself stumbling into the nursery and quickly met with a gentlemen who has equal amounts of respect for his profession and others.

Transported to a new realm, breathing fresh air and viewing a vibrant fortress of solitude, overgrowing with a living, photosynthesizing, masterpiece. The florist seemed to take true care of the plants, broadcasting a sense of ownership over the wellbeing of the ecosystem. Transformative experience, a time tested cornerstone of branching off onto your own journey of learning to care for something other than yourself.
There is also a convenience store attached which seems to be under the same ownership which seems interesting. Like why would you connect these two businesses if one was not more or less a hobby disguised as a job?
Big chess move.

Terrible nursery. Walked in at 11am on Monday. Owner does not acknowledge me or come up and talk to me. I walked in and all of the flowers are dying and ugly. I am disappointed in this nursery because I came here after reading all the positive reviews. I understand the owner is busy with the store next door but there was no one inside either store. Just a simple hi would’ve changed my experience

100% my favorite nursery in town!! Amazing selection of beautiful indoor (and outdoor) plants for the best prices in Palo Alto. Simple and full of beautiful, healthy plants and the owner is SO kind and funny! Some cool old pots too if you have time to look around!

The gentleman running the flower shopis an absolute gem. He made a fresh bouquet with so much care and love, based on the budget but seemed to surpass it. Very kind, and super happy to support local!

I needed to find some sympathy flowers, pronto. And a store that was nearby me. I found this nursery. The guy who owns it also runs the grocery store connected to this nursery. So he's a very busy guy.At my request, he was able to prep my flowers order the very next day and even gave me a discount!I'm very grateful to Mr. Haas (sp?). The family whom I gave the sympathy flowers to were very thankful and liked the flowers.

The owner is friendly and always happy to help When I was new in town he was the first person who really made me feel welcome. Also great selection of plants! I don't live nearby anymore but still pop by for the friendly service and choice of plants

This is not just a market but it's also a florist and, to a small extent, a small nursery. It's not reflected in the name of this business or in this entry but it's worth to make it clear. I walked into the market once. The place is run by a friendly man from the Middle East. I usually do not find it difficult to find something to buy but, honestly, I struggled as I went through literally every section of the market to find something I would want to buy, either because of quality, price or expiration date. The place needs a major update. It looks old and unappealing inside. The fruit and the vegetables I saw were well below standard. I walked in front of the business several times. I have seen people inside without a face mask on a few occasions when it was mandatory to wear face masks. I have seen the plants outside but I never walked into the florist/nursery section until recently. There is a limited selection of plants and most do not seem very well maintained. Inside there are many shelves and they are loaded with old and dusty vases. It's not a classy place to find options but if you are happy with frugality then good for you. It's definitely not my place. This business needs a major revamping inside and outside.

Really nice family owned spot with all sorts of cool plants. They seem to be really busy making arrangements and corsages for events which is good! You'll find lots of cool different plants, and very friendly staff! There's not really pricing on the plants, so you have to ask directly to the owner which is an older gentleman. He's very hands on in the shop and busy, so he might give you different price points on things than what he had originally told you, but I think a lil reminder on what he said before is okay :) I'd rather support a small family owned business anyway! Definitely would come back.
