Manager Rodolfo is stunningly unresponsive and blasé about his business. Asked for an update about a time-sensitive matter, he finally wrote back after 3 unanswered emails that he'll let me know when he does have an update. Really? Should I check back in a year or two?

Most Cynical Use of TechnologyIt's so obvious bank phone trees. including this one and this particular branch (sorry, financial center, if by financial center you mean things that look like branches that are only designed to stuff product down your throat with NO after service), are designed to frustrate and dissuade their own clients from calling. And they have the gall to label this "customer service."Call the "relationship manager" (like I desire a relationship with an algorithm) listed phone number and you are asked to use an alphanumeric keyboard to spell out the name, which invariably does not appear in the directory. You do this 4, 5 times and you start wondering whether this bank is saving any money from the days when you ask a switchboard operator to transfer you to so-and-so. Which took 5 seconds.Call the general # and you're told everyone else is helping customers. Right. Easier to believe they're polishing nails. Try to get to a live person and they'll generously give you three or four attempts (and you're dodging the phone tree all the time) and then it'll unceremoniously cut off the call.Let's call it: There is NO "customer service" anymore from Bank of America, just some consultant-designed phone tree that's set up to record "customer sercice," as long as no customers try to use it. The. Most. Cynical. Use. Of. Technology. Ever.

Jorge and Vanessa helped me to cash a 4-year old check today, and I am very grateful.I forgot to cash the check when I closed my checking account with BoA. I then moved abroad. I tried to call BoA several times to have a new check sent to me abroad, but it was not successful, because 1. my account was closed. 2. I was a student when I had the account, so I didn't have a SSN.I walked into the bank today with the expectation that I will need to come back again because the check is old and I no longer have an account. I ended up walking out of the bank with cash after 10 minutes! What a pleasant surprise!

Blazing new frontiers in "bankers hours" this branch arbitrarily closes to take an hour lunch break. B of A also continues to milk the pandemic for all it's worth: over half of their other branches in the area remain closed. Please don't call me a valued customer, I'm obviously not valued, and not much longer will I be a customer of this slipshod excuse for a financial institution. You can see that they close for lunch on this attached photo... oh wait... no warning at all about closing at random for lunch. Thanks for wasting my time again, B of A! Signed, "valued customer" PS see also photo of the line-out-the-door of other victims.

Victor Luo ("the financial advisor") was unhelpful, and borderline unprofessional. I wanted to get some information on opening a checking account and an IRA account before a certain deadline and was directed to him by the staff at the counter. He repeatedly stated that he is "too busy for this", ran around looking for other staff WHILE HOLDING MY DRIVER'S LICENSE, took my personal information (phone number and current address) but then just suggested that I should just try to call my existing bank in the East Coast to set up the IRA.I also didn't appreciate the borderline racist remarks. Not only did he flat out ask me if I was of "green card status" when I first sat down, he made a back-handed compliment about how "good" my English is, and then chided me when I told him that I didn't have time to switch my east-coast banking to the west coast (telling me that "it's no excuse").I ended up going to a Chase Bank where they were able to set up an account for me WITHIN MINUTES.Just all around unprofessional - he would benefit from remedial training. I would not do business with BoA in the future.

If I could give 0 rating I would. The banker who we were scheduled with was running late with his previous client so they passed us off to another banker who kept saying the whole time he wasnt sure he could help us as he will be late for his own appointment with his client and he rushed the whole thing. He send my family member to go and search for a chair for himself and when his clients arrived he became frustrated and kept saying his clients are outside waiting for him. As soon as we signed the documents with him, he said goodbye in a rush and immediately went back to looking at his computer. Customer service was a zero and he was so rude. Never coming back to this branch again.

I used to think Union Bank was the worst bank in Palo Alto, until I gave Bank of America a 2nd chance after many years. They wasted me 1.5 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon, with all materials from my side in hands, but unable to finish opening an account or to be able to tell the status of the process. At first they thought their phone agent was a scam rather than an employee, who on his right mind asks for a client's OTHER bank's debit card info with pin rather than acct number anyway? The agent tricked me to open an account with him to fill his quota by telling me false information such as he would email me my account info on the same day, and that he had all info he needed. Later he asked me to upload a doc via a link he would send me in a few minutes, and then it became an hour, and then it never came. I then went to the physical location, and they wasted another 3 hours of my time, unable to get a conclusion or offer at least some sincerity of efforts for wasting half of my day. Then they told me I would receive the link the next day, but it NEVER came either. Ironically, the banker tried to sell a higher level of account to me, unable to get the easy one open first, at the end of the day, and I had to tell him "Until I consent to accept your service, it's always you in a hurry, but if I consent you it will be me in a hurry after that, so NO."With that said, Brandon was superb at doing the best he could to help me, and it's unfortunate a sharp young man works at this place, and one of the personal bankers was also good overall. The management is absolutely NOT up for the job, and overall for neither personal banking nor business banking Bank of America offers anything competitive or high quality. How can it call itself Bank of AMERICA? It should rename itself to Bank of ALL PROBLEMS of America. This bank should really be out of business, because nothing they offer is competitive. You can find better offers via BlueVine, BMO Harris, Chase, Wells Fargo, and a list of other options online or local. Don't waste your time doing business with these guys. Like what Warren Buffett said, "Never waste your time wrestling with a pig.", and likely Buffett will dump his Bank of America shares eventually as what he did with Wells Fargo and GE.

To be honest, my banker was cool and friendly but my accounts were levied with all kinds of fees later which basically created a part-time job for me to check those fees and request refunds! At last I closed my bank accounts with them:((
