The products here are nice but the customer service was very unaccommodating. We received a cap as a holiday present and went to return it with the receipt but the employee would not give any store credit or even allow us to exchange the hat because the tag was not on it. At most other retail establishments, they would treat the customer with respect and find a way to help the situation—especially when the product has not been used and there is a legitimate reason to want to exchange the item/get store credit. This store was very staunch in their no tag no way attitude that was extremely off-putting. I will not be returning here.

Staff was very nice, but somehow they didn't have the latest season products as you could already find on the official website.

We came in a week before Black Friday sales, I asked if they do price matching (most stores do within 14 days) they said no. All you can do is return the item with tags attached. Very poor policy. I am almost 8mo pregnant and asked for a specific size in a jacket, the guys told me whatever is out is available. Nobody offered to help me or take things down. It was hard for me to reach. What's the point of having a retail store? This is why retail is dead. We spent over $1k there but I will shop online next time. BTW I believe the online store does price match. if you buy their gear from REI, they have excellent customer service.

I can give zero star if I can. We bought a jacket yesterday at the Palo Alto store and went back home washed it. And the jacket was broken but when we come back the next day and show them the broken part, the folks at store refused it to be a quality problem but just say we did not dry it. How come a dry can solve such magic to bring broken part together?Well this is a 400 dollar jacket without tax. But the only worthy thing we got is a lesson: never buy these fragile jacket.

Staff here are very helpful, friendly and make suggestions vs just letting you buy the wrong thing. That really helped my wife on the right jacket, thanks.

This place is pricey but you can't beat them for a breathable waterproof jacket.

Horrible customer service. Purchased a jacket with one baffle not being filled with down. Only realized when I got home. Called the store and was told to bring it back to exchange. Since I live an hour away, I couldn't get back to the store for a weeks. When I finally made it back, I was told that they wouldn't exchange it and instead I need a warranty claim but because it's winter they are backed up and I wouldn't get my jacket back for weeks to months so I may as well wear it through the winter and bring it back in the summer/spring. Spring comes along and I bring the jacket back. Manager tells me they don't take warranty issues in store. Now I need to file a claim online and send the jacket in to a specific location. Arc'teryx is horrible.

i went in on a sat in nov to try on the cerium lt hoody and got it. it is very warm and lightweight. they have six colors on the website but there were only a few in the store. but it's good to go to the store so you can check the fit.the store was really crowded and busy as it was the weekend and it's not as nice or spacious as the northface store around the corner. but they still gave me useful advice and info and i like their jackets better than the TNF.the downtown SF store in union square was a better experience, you get more attention from the staff but i went there on a weekday. if i were to go again, i would go to the SF store on a weekday as it's more relaxed.

Avoid anything that involves their website. If there is any "stock discrepancy" in your order, they do not tell you. Your order just hangs until you enquire. If you try to cancel, they just rush to ship what is in stock. They admit nothing.

If I could give zero star, I would. Manny the assistant store manager was so rude and desrespectful to us. We wanted to exchange the jacket we bought and he just wouldn't do it without the receipt when the jacket was brand new with tags. No one told us this was the policy when we bought the jacket. In todays world, if you have such a horrible policy, you have to let customers know explicitly when they are buying. Either ways, being rude and desrepectful to customers is such a no go. And btw, here is the return policy of arcteryx. No where does it say that you need the receipt to return. So Manny, the Assistant store manager was not just disrespectful and rude, he is also clueless in how to do his own job.

They have lots of proctective wear for going out in the cold. Thermals are the best.

Was gifted an Atom LT Hoodie which has been my "gateway drug" that has introduced me to this amazing brand. Their products are really a cut above the competition.Love the Stanford location. IMHO, it's the best looking store out of all the Bay Area locations. The dramatic, angular concrete façade of the entrance really gives off an industrial vibe and "invites" you in.

This store really went down hill and fast. The merchandising setup they are well known for is bare and almost non existent. The selection is very minimal and the way they have the new layout makes no sense. Seriously what happened? Sales associates all hanging out by the computers so you basically fee like ur walking into an empty store. Arcteryx needs to take a look at this store and help them out or something cus its not a great experience.
