DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. The testing person is very rude. He is very unprofessional and responds rudely when I asked for an explanation. I have a perfectly running car. Jeep Grand Cherokee 2014. The engine light will simply not turn off, even the dealer said it is nothing significant. The car passed all smog tests but this place failed me because of they see an engine light on the dashboard. They still charge me $50 for crappy service.

For a quick smog I can only say good things! After reading some of the negative reviews I was a little worried, but after being pleasantly greeted by the cashier who told me to wait for the mechanic (which only took a few minutes) I handed him my DMV renewal paper I received in the mail. He was extremely appreciative that I did as it saves them time and can expedite the process. I handed the mechanic my car key and he told me to come back in forty five minutes to an hour. It only took about twenty five before I received a phone call stating my car had been completed. I went back to the cashier side of the shop, paid with my phone and had a kind chat with the attendant about how I am new to the area and how he enjoyed growing up in this part of the Bay Area. If you need a quick no-nonsense smog, go to these guys! If you're worried about time they appreciate a quick call and weekdays are less busy.

Not thrilled to discover their pumps leak all over the place despite them being 'off'.
Ruined my shirt :(

They have a credit card minimum of $5, so you can't buy a drink or snack with a card.

Great place for smog check, easy to fill gas.

Scammed. This place is unfair and should be reviewed by the better business bureau. I was charged a 2.00$ tobacco fee when I only purchased a pack of smokes. On top of the tax this place is dishonest. I wouldn't get my car smogged here, pump gas, or buy a candy bar here. Be sure to ask for your receipt.

I visited this ARCO gas station recently and was shocked at the poor service and overt racism displayed by the owner. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that the owner had no interest in serving me or providing any level of customer service. He was rude and dismissive, and when I asked a simple question, he responded with hostility and aggression. It was clear that he had no interest in serving me because of my race. The service was beyond poor. The store was dirty, and the items on the shelves were disorganized and expired. I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Acro gas station and would never recommend it to anyone. It's a shame that such blatant racism and poor service are still prevalent in today's society. I'd give them zero stars if I could.

This gas station was clean, accepted credit card, and actually had working kiosks outside that looked new.

A chain of Arco stations are gaming the Gas Buddy app by posting artificially low prices on the low-grade unleaded gas. It's so consistent across multiple stations on multiple days - even after I corrected a station's price on the app, the number gets brought down again afterwards. All to attract price hunters (like me). This is unethical.

This is the worst ,most racist ARCO I have ever been to on my life. I stop to fill up my tank here (840 San Amtonio Rd. Palo Alto on Sunday, July 17th at 3ish) and while my gas is pumping, I go inside to buy a couple of lottery tickets. I wait my turn and request 2 Megas. The older white men , who looked 80 told me to wait and allow the white women behind me to go first. I ask why? He says because she is getting gas and that comes first before lottery tickets. I said zi got a fill up of over $50 on gas on my card and I waited in line and now being denied service. He argued with me that lottery tickets were not priority. I repeated I spent $50 on gas. He still argued with me making up excuses. There is no excuse for rude customer service or racism period. I walked out the store with no apology from him or anything. I have never had issues with ARCO any where else and I assume this is privately owned. I advise anyone of color not to get gas at this location. There are others down the road.
