The sales lady was extremely rude to my wife and kids on New Year’s eve. The welcome to the store was with a rude “we close in 15 minutes you know!”.Questions on particular garments were answered with “they are all over the store” - figure it out. When the kids were playing near a sale display at the door, she rudely told my wife to tell them not to play near the displays. As someone who has been in the retail business myself, I think this is a serious attitude problem. It just ended up with us walking out of the store where we were sure we wanted to buy something.

Love this place! Fabulous customer service! If you can't find it in the store, they can find it for you online. Love their suiting! I have a dozen of their suits, and they all fit amazingly! The suiting holds up in the wash as well! No expensive dry cleaning bills. So worth it!

I just had the best experience at the Ann Taylor at Stanford Shopping Center. I lost my job and I need to find a new one. None of my interview/office clothes fit since the Covid shut down. There is construction on all the streets getting in and construction throughout the mall which made it hard to get to the store. I found a parking spot and went straight to Ann Taylor on the other side of the mall. I found some really cute outfits and my favorite sales lady was there to help set up a changing room. I remember her from previous shopping at that store. Store 01146 and Desk Assoc 318067. She came right up to me and assisted me with my choices and got me a room. She also suggested I check out the upstairs and I did find some cute items. She just made my day. She made sure I got my discount with my AT card. She deserves a raise. In the past there was a grouchy older lady that I didn't like. I will be back soon. Thanks for being the best associate ever.

I'm a huge Ann Taylor fan, and loyal customer (loyalist). I shop both online and at their various stores. My review of this branch specifically is due to the deviation in customer service (store staff) attitude, friendliness, courtesy, and respect. I visited yesterday, and the demeanor of staff was worse than what I've seen at most other branches, including Westfield, even the outlet. Not sure if it's the holidays, or what's going on exactly. Stanford shopping center is a premium mall, and typically I find most store experiences to be the absolute best I've seen. Some work needs to be done here.

I love Ann Taylor but I had less than perfect experience at the Palo Alto store yesterday. The associate at check out suggested that I open a store credit card because it will knock off 20% of my $500 balance. I agreed to open a credit card only to discover that the reward is only $20 not 20%. It was a complete waste of time. When I confronted the associate she said that the rewards will come later in the form of great deals. I don't trust that she is telling the truth this time. I'm disappointed. :(

Selection at this location is pretty limited, especially for any type of actual professional/business clothing.

I would give this store a 0 star if I could. Order online for pickup in 2 hours on a Wednesday. This order was for a funeral service and we needed to pick this up before flying out. I did not hear anything back after 2 hours, so I called them and the response was "we were not able to get it ready yet". I asked if they did not have items in-store and were waiting for something, but no, they simply did not get to the order. NO APOLOGIES. Told me to read every item ordered again, so they could go find it. What was the point of placing the order and paid for everything online?! In VERY RUDE and inconsiderate language, they finally said they would try to get my orders now, so we could pick up as soon as possible. Please ignore this store at all cost. I will try to report this to corporate office.

I came across this today while shopping with my mother. I was really excited to walk into an actual store because so many of them in big cities or little towns have closed in the last five years. Very few customers were around and we were not greeted by sales associates during our ten minutes there. I have worked in retail before and know that sometimes you can get caught up with a task or another customer. While I was browsing through the sales rack of sweaters a woman came up right next to me without saying anything and stuck some clothing items in. I was startled by her abruptly cutting in but really taken back when a few minutes later when I saw that it was a sales associate. She could have said , “excuse me” or asked, “how are we doing today?” One of the reasons why I have always shopped at AT is due to their excellent customer service, both in-store and online. Fifteen years ago I even did a research project on this company! I will also be sharing my experience with HQ.

I understand that everyone is stressed during this pandemic and that retail stores may be understaffed. However when we went in today there were two sales associates and only three customers. No greeting or offer to help. One of them walked up right next to me (so much for social distancing) to put some items on the sales rack while I was browsing. It was rather abrupt. Common courtesy would call for "excuse me" or "can I cut in please?". I was excited to walk into an actual store today and walked away feeling like an outsider. If I wanted to feel like Julia Roberts I would have tried shopping on Rodeo Drive. After reading the reviews I agree with other customers feeling like the associates had an "indifferent" attitude. I wrote a review on Google and I will be contacting HQ. I did a research project on this company 15 years ago and was sad to experience very poor customer service today.
