We are a biracial family and though both my husband and I try to speak Chinese at home, we aren’t fluent. We chose Acme because the Chinese was used more consistently than other schools we visited. Most of the students speak Chinese as their first language and the teachers do an excellent job of meeting students at their level and helping them learn the language. The English instruction is also great and there appears to be a well planned curriculum for all subjects.
We are delighted by how happy our daughter has been with her social and peer relations, the staff and parent community help all students interact harmoniously. My daughter hasn’t been bitten, pushed, or hit. Every time I drop in, students are solving disputes respectfully, and teachers are attentively watching and facilitating interactions.
Overall, this is a safe, fun, nurturing environment where students learn to love learning. After a bad experience with a previous nursery school, we’re very grateful to the teachers and staff here and couldn’t be happier with Acme.

My child has spent his preschool and pre-K years with ACME, where education was both enjoyable and enriching. Not only did it provide a solid academic foundation, but it also instilled important values such as responsibility and integrity. Now, he still has play dates with his former classmates, "Frosty the Snowman” from past Christmas performance remains his favorite. Ms. Lily and Ms. Xu have been his cherished teachers often mentioned in the last year experience. We wholeheartedly recommend ACME for anyone looking for bilingual preschools for its exceptional care and education!

We couldn't be happier with the experience our two and a quarter years old son has had at Acme! Every day, our son comes home talking about the fun activities he's done and singing songs he's learned. Since starting, he has not only made strides in his learning, but he has also become noticeably more social. The teachers are incredibly caring and attentive, and they truly go above and beyond to create a nurturing and creative environment. They pay incredible attention to detail; for instance, they always remember that my son is sensitive to sunlight and make sure he wears a hat during outdoor activities. Seeing our son so happy and engaged is a joy, and we owe much of this to the wonderful staff. The communication from the school is excellent, keeping us informed and engaged with our child's development. We are so grateful to have found a place where our son is not only learning but is also genuinely happy and thriving. Thank you to the entire staff for your dedication and hard work!

Acme Preschool has been an absolute gem for my daughter's early education journey. The bilingual institution offers a nurturing atmosphere that truly sets it apart. The teachers at Acme are not just educators; they are incredibly loving individuals who understand the importance of fostering a sense of belonging and security in every child.
What truly stands out about Acme is the genuine care and dedication of its staff. The teachers go above and beyond to ensure that each child feels valued and supported in their learning journey. Their passion for teaching is evident in every interaction, making Acme feel like a second home for the little ones.I am incredibly grateful for the positive impact Acme Preschool has had on my daughter's growth and development.

We have been attending ACME Children's Center for many years. The school is well-organized and all the teachers are very kind and responsible. They teach many subjects and cultures, with different theme each month. My child always happy to share with me what they have learned at school each day. I feel very comfortable and have a peace of mind when sending my kids to ACME Children's Center.

Our son has been here for 1 year and he absolutely loves it. The teachers are caring and the curriculum is advanced, which really helps prepare him for kindergarten. We chose to keep him at ACME instead of sending him to TK because he would learn more here and have the exposure to Mandarin that he wouldn't otherwise have at home or at a public TK. 1) He's already learning phonics and reading 3 letter words and understanding life cycles and basic math that's normally taught in kinder. 2) My husband and I don't speak Mandarin, yet my son is able to converse and understand Mandarin with his teachers. I find that ACME is more inclusive of other ethnicities than a few other Mandarin bilingual programs in Palo Alto. While I was interviewing preschools, many of the Mandarin bilingual programs gave us the cold shoulder as soon as I mentioned I couldn't speak Chinese. I feel that ACME is the most friendly and inclusive, especially of mix raced families.Ms. Le, the program's director, is the sweetest person - she kind and thoughtful; she has a soft-spoken yet authoritative way about her and she addresses any issues I bring up. Ms. Param literally held onto my son and calmed him down for the first 6 months as he was crying profusely during drop off. Ms. Lily is spunky, talkative and always gives me updates on how my son is doing whenever I see her. Ms. Xu, Ms. Star and the rest of the staff are very kind and sweet.I would highly recommend ACME Children's to any parent.

We moved to the area during pandemic and sent our daughters, 4-year old and 2-year old, to ACME. Both have stayed until they graduated. We had a great time with ACME. The teachers were caring and very experienced. My daughters had fun and also learned a lot in both English and Mandarin. They held many events and provided extra classes like dancing and clay modeling. My daughters loved them a lot. Definitely going to recommend friend who are interested in bilingual preschool.

My son is very active and has difficulty focusing. He switched schools twice after attending preschool. The teachers at the first two schools weren't very friendly towards him. After transferring to Acme School, there was a significant adjustment period, but with the encouragement and patient guidance of his teachers, my son gradually improved his ability to concentrate for 10-15 minutes at a time. He engaged in activities such as crafting and coloring. He particularly enjoys learning from Teacher Xu, who teaches Chinese. He has learned many Chinese children's songs from her. I am extremely grateful for the patience and sincere dedication of the teachers at Acme School. My younger brother is still at Acme, and he will continue attending until he graduates from preschool. We have great trust in and fondness for the teachers here.

We sent our kids starting at age 2, and find the school well run with caring and kind teachers, with longevity - most of the teachers have been there since we started sending our eldest in 2019. We like their bilingual curriculum. They’ve also been flexible with us as we moved away during the pandemic, but during the summers we visited and they would accept our kids even though it was for only few weeks. Overall a very well run school that we’d recommend for families looking to give their kids a bilingual preschool experience. We toured other schools as well and found the value for the tuition price was very reasonable.

Acme is a very good preschool in many ways. The environment is clean and neat. The playground is large, both indoor and outdoor. The teachers are caring, patient and professional. It is a bilingual language school so your kids can learn both Mandarin and English. They do academic work and also a lot of art work. Every week my kid would take home her masterpieces done at school. They also have many elective classes so that kids can learn other staffs during school time. They have so many special events: mothers days, fathers days, thanksgiving, Christmas, new year, Chinese New Year etc. They will do the decorations and make the school full of holiday spirit. My kid love Acme, her teachers, and her friends. She's been taken good care of and we will miss this place so much!

My child has been attending ACME for the last 2 months on an abbreviated schedule of 2 full days a week. This preschool is amazing on so many levels. ACME is a bilingual school. This is a plus, since we decided to only speak Chinese to him since birth, and so now that he is 2, he understands almost no English. ACME has a mix of both Mandarin speaking and English speaking teachers. The classroom he is in has 2 non-Mandarin speaking teachers, and then Mandarin speaking teachers will drop in to help translate here and there. That being said, despite not being able to understand his teachers, our boy still was taken very well of, and loves his teachers even though he likely doesn't understand them most of the time, haha. He has picked up on some English though, and his Chinese has improved as well. He comes home singing and reciting Chinese nursery rhymes! I'm sure the English will come pretty fast later, so we are happy with his language development. At first, our son cried the first two days for pickup and drop off, which is normal, having been raised primarily in the house by family or nanny during his first two years. ACME teachers were genuinely warm, and helped him adjust so fast. Even the first day he was there, he found his favorite teacher, who helped him settle in during his first two days. Now, despite only going 2 days a week, he adjusted really well and fast, and I think this speaks to the amazing teachers at ACME. Parental involvement is well balanced at ACME. In April, we attended a one-on-one parent teacher conference, and got insight as to how he is doing at school, and how he tracks with his peers. ACME also sends out weekly emails to the parents with songs, names of books, curriculum for the week, so parents know what the kids are doing at school. Last month, we also got an end of the month email with pictures of the students at school during their daily activities - so cute! All in all, I wholeheartedly recommend ACME. Our son has really flourished and grown here in the last two months. Now, we are starting our third but final month (this is only as we start work at 630 in the morning, and unfortunately, ACME doesn't open that early (they are 8-5:30). Sad to have to unenroll him, but would keep sending him there if they opened earlier!

My son Miles has greatly enjoyed his time at ACME . He loves to go to school every day.He has made many friends and learned both English and Chinese at ACME. Ms. Lily is very caring and has rich experiences on toddler’s education. School office is organized and supportive. Miles will always remember the positive experiences at ACME.
