Walk away from this BAIT AND SWITCH people…They ran my credit without consent. But they do use well rehearsed tactics to get your signature on the paper. Shameful way to make money.

TLDR: My daughter was looking for a used Honda, we went to Trust Honda to look for a used vehicle. I will never step foot in this dealership again, all due to questionable tactics and one young egotistical sales manager. (END TLDR)
Full review:
I wanted to add two stars for Johnny and the friendly young lady (I apologize I cannot remember her name, maybe Julia but I am not certain) who approached us first. But then again, it will not show my true experience if I made it a 3-star review.
My daughter and I visited Trust Honda on a Saturday afternoon, August 10, 2024. We were greeted by a friendly young lady, once again I apologize, I cannot recall her name. We inquired about a few used Hondas, a Civic and an Accord. I am assuming the young lady was new car sales, because she turned us over to Johnny. Now Johnny was friendly, and very accommodating. My daughter test drove an Accord and a Civic Sport. She opted to move forward with the Civic. This was going to be my daughter's first vehicle purchase.
We went inside assuming to talk numbers. My mistake was I didn't advise my daughter to not sign anything while I went back outside to inspect the Civic more closely. I found a few things on the car when I looked it over. The most glaring was a nice sized hole worn through the driver side floorboard carpeting, exposing the bare metal underneath. So, I called my daughter to show her. Unbeknownst to me, a credit check was run for my daughter. This kind of put me off, since I have always negotiated price before allowing a credit check to be ran.
We went back in, and this was the point where I found out that they ran a credit check on her, because she was handed a report. I made my stance known that I wasn't too happy about the credit check on my daughter, prior to talking numbers on the car. I asked why they ran it, the response was "She signed the papers". Johnny presented a finance offer of $743 for 72 months. This was UNCONSIONABLE!!! Over $50k for the life of the loan for a Civic that was priced just under $20k. Trying to soak my daughter, who is a first-time buyer, for over $30k is very unethical!
As I asked him for my daughter's key to her car, I informed Johnny that we weren't going to take the Civic and that we were leaving. I did show Johnny why we weren't taking the car, the large hole in the carpet, plus the outrageous finance offer.
As Johnny left to get the key, here steps in the sales manager that made me decide completely that I would never come back to this dealership. I have already forgotten his name, on purpose.
The conversation between me and the sales manager:
Manager: Why aren't you taking the car?
Me: I didn't like how a credit check was pulled on my daughter, before talking numbers.
Manager: Well, you do know she signed the paper?
Me: (Brief silence) That isn't how I purchase vehicles, I like to talk numbers first. Besides there is a big hole in the carpet on the driver side floorboard. We don't want the car.
Manager: (Confidently) Oh, that's supposed to be there so you can see the VIN.
Me: (Look of disbelief and I reiterated) A hole in the carpet where the heel sits as you use the gas pedal...that is supposed to be there?
Manager: (Adamant that the hole is normal) Did you see a VIN number there?
Me: We don't want the car. Can I have the key to my daughter's BMW?
Manager: (Gets up abruptly and walks off, no handshake) Okay, have a nice day.
That manager made it all unravel. I was open for my daughter to opt for other vehicles on the lot, but I never entertain or deal with attitude and ego like that manager had.
So, instead we went to Escondido in San Diego three days later and my daughter drove away in a certified 2023 Accord LX with only 8k miles on the odometer. Not t

As soon as we got out the car we were greeted by Dustin. He walked us over to the car we were interested in and immediately went and got the keys. We talked all about the features and worked with the GM Jay to get to a number we both could agree on. Everyone here is kind and helpful. Go see Dustin he's an awesome rep who isn't pushy and is super helpful. Joey in finance is also helpful and easy to work with.
