We used Bill for several years. Over the past 3 years, he was constantly late. This year I waited 45 minutes. Never again. He finally showed. Taxes prepared. We paid him. We recently received a letter from the IRS stating we owed adfitional money. We paid. What was most disturbing was that another client's information was on the back of our hard copies! We wrote to him about this. One week after sending our email to him with photos of this, he responds saying we concocted a story, these were dummy returns and never to contact him again. BEWARE!! We are done with him! There are many competent CPAs in the valley.

Called to ask a simple question for a CPA and the receptionist just said "I don't know" and hung up on me!

When I first met Bill to consult with him about doing my taxes, I was very impressed. He did my taxes for the next few years with NO PROBLEMS. He knew my return from year to year and would ask for something missing..which he would immediately recognize..always the consummate professionL, polite..his work was always done on time and I recommended him to several people. Then one year everything changed. (2019) Suddenly I'm dealing with this hothead who says one minute.."yes I can do your taxes on time"..the next minute asking questions like they never seen any of my material before..when I ask if it hasn't already been programmed in the computer From years ago..I get an answer "Well how am I supposed to know THAT ?" I was sure I was not dealing with Bill but this person represented themselves as Bill...the return was done, LATE and without the proper late charges indicated.. I moved my residence to New Mexico and used a different CPA. Moving back to CA I emailed Bill to see if you could get the return done..again, with 10 days before due date. No problem. Got the material there..sane thing happened as in 2019. Suddenly there are accusations, snotty replies..pure pettiness and a total refusal to even do the return at all. The experience was very much like the review here from Feb, 2021. Look at the two MOST RECENT reviews. I feel like the consummate professional Bill Widbrodt has handed my account over to someone who is combative, accusatory, incompetent ...same story this time about being sick..I wouldn't go near this office again..BURNED TWICE is enough for me.

Choose wisely when selecting a tax professional. Bill was unable to allow access to his automated tax program after I changed my email address as my email address was compromised. He became frustrated and basically fired me as his customer because he or his software could not rectify the situation.

The annual ritual of going to the accountant was always dreaded. For years we continued to use the same east coast accountant well after we had moved. Then we used another account in the desert with disastrous results. We even attempted the personal tax program available at office stores. Again, the results were not good. Last year we used Bill Witbrodt. We could not be more pleased. For the first time in decades we are looking forward to the tax time!

We highly recommend Bill Witdrodt CPA, for all your accounting/bookkeeping needs. Bill has done our taxes for several years now. He is very knowledgeable, personable and extremely reliable. Centrally located on East Tahquitz in Palm Springs, Witbrodt CPA is professional, detailed, timely, and courteous. The saying goes there's no escaping death or taxes. Widbrodt CPA can certainly help with the latter. They are highly recommend!

Tax preparation is like a foreign language better left for professionals like Bill Witbrodt to interpret. He is patient, thorough, courteous, and although 100 miles away, I wouldn't dare navigate that minefield called "The Tax Code" on my own. I highly recommend Bill for your tax needs. You'll be in good hands.

I can't remember giving 5 stars before but I'd give Bill a 6th one if I could. He took my financial mess and turned it into fileable tax returns. Bill is professional, thorough and a life saver for me.

I never thought my taxes complex enough to warrant a CPA, but after getting married I felt like we needed more expertise than chain tax services. We probably aren't the most complex or biggest client, but Bill always treats us like his top priority and a valued customer. He is prompt and thorough. I have no worries or any kind when we submit tax refund he prepared.

After 25 years in L.A. I moved to the Palm Springs area and needed a professional to handle my business and personal taxes. For two years Bill has done my taxes quickly and with great patience, for my sometimes disorganization, when I forget a document. Nice guy! Highly recommend!!
