Be very careful hear when bringing in pets for urgent care. They will try to use your tough situation to get you to spend a bunch of unnecessary and expensive treatments/tests on the vague hope that they might be able to help the animal when really there is nothing to be done. Avoid.

I took my cat in there he had a toothache, and it cost me $2,600 to have one canine and three small front teeth removed, way too much. not only that now he has patches of hair falling off of him all over the place, not sure what the hell happened in that place my cat is not the same. it is now October 27th 2024 I have taken my pet cat to another veterinarian to try and figure out what going on with him . to this day he has not recovered whatsoever and he is getting worse. we had a blood test done before they pulled his teeth and they told all his blood work came back fine. we're taking him back to our vet once again to try to figure out what the hell's happening . I don't know what happened in that vet but I would never recommend that vet to anyone. I feel we are losing him

Hands down the most amazing vet I’ve been to. I took my cat Leo in due to a bladder obstruction. Doctor was very upfront about every part and knowing it could reobstruct. We decided to do treatment. We made it home after treatment and he’s on his new diet. Not only did I get a follow up from staff in the morning the next day. I received a call later from the doctor. Thank you for kindness! I can’t thank you guys enough. My animals are like my babies!

We lost our dog due to Dr.Ross recommendations of evaluation when all they did was give stronger medication to our pet rather than run a blood test to see what's going on inside the body before giving medication. In less than 24 hours after our visit, he was gone. On the receipts, there is no where mentioning the dosage given, only "1 injection." When there was 3 injections all at once for a 40 pound dog. We will never come back to this place. Our hearts are broken, when our dog was only 6 years old living a healthy lifestyle. To all family pet owners, there are better locations than this place for your pets safety. We spend a lot of money, for them to recommend scheduling ANOTHER appointment for bloodwork. This place wasn't good at explaining what the medications will do for our pet, but they were really good at explaining the different prices for certain services/medications were going to be charged.
We thought about taking legal actions, but that won’t bring our baby back. I’m warning other pet parents to please save yourself from not going through the pain we had to go through after our visit from this location.

I love this place for my pups! I feel the staff genuinely cares about the animals that come in. Our dog Kain started limping a few weeks ago to which we made an appt. They're quick to schedule and sometimes can do same day walk-ins. Turns out he needed the TPLO surgery as his doggy acl was torn. He is a 100lb Doberman who isn't the most social dog (only loves mom & dad) so for him to be left at the vet by himself took a lot of reassurance from the staff for us. Thankfully, everything went well and they mentioned how well he did. The recovery has been the hardest part for him as an active dog and for us as two full time working adults but we're making it work (I recommend a strict routine if you have to get your dog this surgery). We returned to get his bandage removed and he was obviously stressed so the nurse came to the car to take it off. Bless! We went back a couple weeks later to get his staples removed and it was such an easy process. He has a harness that lets us carry him like carry on luggage (lol) and everyone in the office commented how cute he looked. All in all, we trust this place to take care of our pups. Shoutout to Angelo, Lance, Jessica, and John. Ya'll are some amazing angels!

Brought my kitten for an emergency, they did X-rays and other stuff. They stated it’s this and said they fixed it. Cost me an arm and a leg, didn’t even fix the problem. She’s worse than before. Looking for a different vet, not worth the drive and cost.

Have been going to Dr Heinen for 7 years. Dr Heinen, John, Wendy, Randy, Rachel and rest of staff are all amazing. High level of customer service. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Not corporate owned either. Thx to all

Don't fall for this carnival show. More expensive $$$$ than VCA. You're paying for a BS act. This is not a hospital facility. It's a hole in the wall of a strip mall. Hospital is an illusion like the xtra $$$ they charged for a cardiologist evaluation of my dogs x-rays. No cardiologist report was provided when asked, only 3 xrays for $626.40. More expensive than VCA. John Garcia's slick talk had me fooled. Turns out he's irresponsible, doesn't follow up. "tell em' what they want to hear" and get a follow-up appointment in 2 weeks. Slick talking - negligent on follow-up and pet wellbeing. This place starts off as slick as a used car dealership trying to make their quota. You can expect the same level of disingenuous treatment. Their main concern $$$ how much can they exfoliate from your wallet. Example how little they care for your pet: 1. There is no phone number to reach the Dr. or anyone after hours or on week-ends. That's unacceptable and irresponsible after spending more than $1200 on our first visit in June. 2. No help asking John questions via the phone. - All he wanted was, "can I book a follow up in two weeks"$$$. John bills separately as "clinical support". 3. I waited all day Friday for a Rx to be called in locally (i'm out of town) - They never called the pharmacy. I called John a second time at 4:45pm - They closed before 6PM and no one could be reached until Monday at 1: 42 PM. 4. Jessica took my call on Monday. I asked, what happened Friday? Smug, & kurt. ( see other Yelp complaints). Irresponsible and unreliable is NOT what I want for my dogs vet. Sadly, this is another vet in the desert to steer clear. As others have said, there is a reason why this place can get you an immediate appointment. As soon as clients realize they pay dearly but don't have a reliable compassionate vet for their pet, they don't come back. Count me as one.

When I asked for an X-ray and they said my dog didn't need it, I should have gone to another vet. When I asked for antibiotics and they said she didn't need them, I should've called another vet. She's dead now.

Absolutely wonderful veterinary hospital! The staff was so great to deal with and got me in right away for my dog that was having a bad infection. Dr Heinen is really awesome! He is patient and friendly and great to deal with. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for vet!

This veterinary office is the whole package. The staff is terrific and so friendly and upbeat and my experiences with Dr. Chang very positive. I was grateful to be able to bring in one of my cats on the same day as he was having an urgent situation even though we weren't currently clients. I've since switched care for my other cat to Dr. Chang and am very happy. Both cats are difficult in their own ways and the vet and staff are quite able to handle them both. John Garcia is a wonderful resource and again, I just can't say enough positive words about the staff. As for reviews that mention their prices as being high - in my experience, veterinary care is expensive. This office has lots of people on staff to help and I appreciate that. I don't think their prices are any higher than I've paid elsewhere in the valley and I'm glad to pay the salaries of the carers at this and other facilities I use when they give such good care. Thank you, PSAH.

The staff and the Vet doctor were so kind. My poor baby had ruptured anal glands and I was absolutely losing my mind. He was in pain and bleeding.l I called them as soon as they opened and they were able to get me in within a couple hours. I was a nervous wreck and they told me that I could wait in the lobby and if they could get me in earlier, they would. Thank God they were able to get me in about an hour earlier, which I'm sure isn't usually the case. My baby (a dog) got antibiotics and pain meds. They didn't try to upsell any extra services. They gave me info on why this happens to small dogs and send us on our way. He is doing better and healing perfectly. I am so grateful for their kind and patient staff. It is also an extremely clean place. The energy is beautiful and you could tell they really enjoy their job and what they do

Thank you thank you thank you! My daughter was really in a bind when her furbaby git a foxtail in his ear. He was in pain and we knew he needed to be seen right away. We couldn't get in to our normal vet, couldn't get in to any vet except to one that is an hour away. This is an emergency animal hospital that said yes bring him in. After sitting in the waiting room with the pup in pain, for over 2 hours , they tell us yeah sorry it's going to be 4- 6 hours before we can see him! I wish they would have told us that 2 hours ago! We called 8 more vet urgen cares and no one could see him! Then I called PALM SPRINGS ANIMAL HOSPITAL! They were so very nice and said yes bring him in! The dr was so nice and thorough and the staff were all so great! They had to sedate the pup and removed 2 foxtail stickers and within the hour we were FINALLY on our way home with a pain free pup! We will be forever grateful for everyone at PALM SPRINGS ANIMAL HOSPITAL!! and I will highly recommend them!
