The one star or less is fair warning to anyone having to deal with this company. Everyone was very friendly until they weren't, because of so many mishaps and endless attempts to resolve very simple issues. I will leave the photos and videos off this posting, but many were taken.

Where do I even start! My wife & I were blown away with the customer service we received at Modern Home Design. We visited many tile stores for our shower remodel. We ended up going with Modern home since the tile selection & customer service was unbeatable! Thank you Brett for all your help!

I just used Modern Home for a renovation that included fully gutting two baths and a kitchen, and replacing 2000 sq ft of floor tile. This store is a treasure trove of the most exquisite selection of everything I needed. They provided fast turn-around and their customer service and communication was excellent. Rick has impeccable taste and understood my style goals immediately, then guided me through tile, wallpaper and counter selection. This was no small feat since they have thousands of stunning and unique options to choose from, and his suggestions led to a gorgeous finished project. Ron handled kitchen design and transformed the tiny dingy kitchen into a cook and entertainer's dream space, complete with an abundance of pantry cabinets and a new wet bar/island. Their team made installation a breeze and the finished product is flawless.

The showroom has a great selection of tile and other home finishing products in a range of price points. We bought some lovely, unique Italian tile for our casita. The estimate came immediately and the tile was ready in just a few days. We were impressed with the showroom and overall experience .

I went shopping for kitchen tile and hardware at Modern Home Design Showroom in Palm Springs yesterday and had the fortunate experience to work with Deno Ferraro . Smart, sharp , creative , knowledgable, he asks all the right questions and helped narrow down the choices with my kitchen needs. I value his opinion and taste level very much . A true pro ! I'm not one to give reviews , but I felt compelled to acknowledge his talents and kind demeanor after I left the shop . I was referred to Modern Home by a friend and was glad to make the connection. The showroom is a gold mine filled with the best selections of unique tile. I was greeted by Deno and explained what I was looking for, as we're renovating our kitchen. He understood my taste and in no time showed me the most beautiful tiles. He had a great idea to use 4 different tiles and when put together, made a unique medallion to use in the center of the niche over the desk top, which is on the side of the breakfast room. He also showed me some amazing quartz counter tops and helped me with colors to paint the cabinets the Island and rest of the kitchen. His sense of design and product knowledge was very impressive and we're so excited for our new kitchen.

The tile options are fantastic and they have great cool options. When you come in they are really helpful about 50% of the time. The customer service drops off quickly. Tile was late, then wrong, hard to get a call back or who you were dealing with etc. I give the tile 4 to 5 stars and the service 1 star then settled for a generous 3.

I've done two home renovations projects and used Modern Home for my tile orders. I am not going to call out any specific staff, although I could, but dear me, what a mess. I pulled the exact tiles I wanted to order and brought them to the staff members' desk, and had the exact square footage ready to go. It doesn't help that not a single product in this entire store has a price tag on it. This person looked pained with the mental calisthenics of just writing down the names of the 5 tiles we wanted to order, the math to figure out how much we needed for our square footage including overage, the amounts we needed to order for each tile, and the $ total. The process was grueling to get the right information down on their scratchpad of paper. It felt like this was the first time they have put together an estimate in their lives. We kept going back over each and every tile from our list bc they were so disorganized and frazzled. Maybe drunk from a late rose lunch? Finally happy that they had enough information down on their scratchpad (Why at one point they put some information on a sticky note, on top of the scratchpad they were using for our order, versus just writing all the information on the scratchpad is beyond me.) We gave them our contact information and awaited our estimate to place an order--we were ready to pay in person, but that wasn't an option. I received an estimate days later by email, and of course it was completely wrong. My guess: the sticky note disappeared and they completely fumbled creating the estimate from memory and from their disorganized scratch pad. A wrong tile, 2 wrong quantities, and a complete mess of an invoice. It took almost a week and a half of back and forth to get the estimate correct. They blamed being short staffed. I blame incompetence. It was sad to see. I finally placed the order. 24 hours later, no receipt, no confirmation. I like this showroom and I like their products, but whoever owns this place needs to whip this place into shape. An estimate should be created immediately, not from memory and from a scratch pad. An estimate should be sent same day, if not the next day, guaranteed. An order should be able to be placed immediately.

My wife and I stopped by mid last week to check out the flooring selection and we just wanted to browse as we still have some time to plan reno on our vacation home. As soon as this gentleman found out we were browsing, his tone of voice and attitude changed, customer service went from 10 to 0. We had several questions and kept getting short answers without any clear response, kept going back to his colleague and talking about their weekend.It is unfortunate as my wife liked some of their items.Taking my business else where they are appreciated.Service: Flooring selection
