We were just in this smoke shop, I purchased a butane bottle and a small torch for my craft project. The total came to $25 My husband gave him a $20 and I gave him $10 He took our money and closed the cash drawer pocketing $5 owed to us. I went back in to ask for a receipt. I need it as a business and accounting item for tax purposes. He said we have him $25 and he didn't charge us tax. WHAT KIND OF BUSINES' DOESN'T CHARGE TAX? I PAY TAX ON EVERYTHING I DO, PLUS I DEAL ON CASH TRANSACTIONS. If I don't have cash, I don't purchase. The butane was hard to find, as we don't smoke and the grocery stores don't carry butane and most don't carry cigarette's.What it boils down to is me being on a mobility scooter with grey hair. I don't bow to that bull$hit. I wasn't born yesterday.Watch yourselves and your money. No tax and cash means it smells like bull crap.This DOOD said he didn't charge tax and gave us 10% off. He never said s word about that when I made the purchase which would mean he owes me back MORE than $5I will absolutely stand my ground.Because I'm nearly deaf and can't walk on my one I get ripped off. BEWARE.I went into the next town and got the same butane and a torch lighter for $18 and change. I gave that respectful man a small tip. I got a receipt as well. Thank you.!
